History/Background Story:

Rayne was born in the early hours of the morning. November 19th, 2009. They are the first-born child to Eliza and Darius Chance, Raynes parents. Rayne grew up middle class, both her parents worked full time. Then, 18 months later, Rayne's twin sisters were born, named Emmie and Cecilia Chance. The two could be described with multiple cruel words, but sometimes, its important to see the best in people. After all, waterlilies can grow in the ugliest of swamps, and those who are patient as the flowers grow are the ones who see the flower as it blooms. This is the way Rayne tried to think every time her sisters less like lilies and more like swamps. (swamps with dozens of flies, absolutely no life forms and an underlying stench). Rayne did love them both though, dearly, for sometimes they got along and those were some of the memories Rayne held most dearly.

Rayne also was an avid fan of wildlife. Plants, animals, bugs, anything alive. Their room was filled with flowers and succulents and ferns and a multitude of other plants. Not only this, but Rayne's family owned a considerable amount of pets. Rayne had a cat, named Ferris. He was a large, soppy guy, jet black with electric yellow eyes. Rayne wanted soon to bring him to Hogwarts. The twins owned a cat too, Sadie. She was a tortoise shell who, like the twins, wasn't the kindest. The family also owned a snake. A Carolina Striped Corn snake, to be very specific. He was technically Darius', but Rayne took care of him most, and Darius had essentially gifted the snake to his eldest by this point. A frog also inhabited the house, a friendly fellow called Mike, for some reason (Eliza's idea). Finally was a triad of rats, Theo, Rosemary and Bea, Who were again technically shared between the three children, but who Rayne again cared for the most.

Rayne excelled in school, able to easily pick up and retain knowledge. They adored anything creative. Acting, art, music, writing etcetera. They also had many hobbies like baking, painting and reading. Not to mention caring for animals. Rayne had experienced many difficulties with friends, often finding people going behind their back, ignoring them and generally not being particularly great friends. This was part of the reason why it was so easy to leave for Hogwarts, making up a lie about being accepted into a far off boarding school, (which technically wasn't a lie) for the few people they were in fact friends with.

The first unexplainable moment Rayne remembered, was when they were clambering up an abnormally large tree. they were only about 8. Unfortunately, one of the branches they reached for was rotten, so snapped easily, letting them drop to the ground. Here is where the story gets interesting. Rayne was high enough up that a drop like that would surely lead to broken bones, but they walked off with no injuries to tell for it, strangely. At the time, their parents put it down to a combination of a misconception of how high they were and pure luck, though now they had a considerably better explanation.
