Appearance Face Claim: Jenna Ortega | Voice Claim: Nicole McGuire Colina hasn't quite gotten her first growth spurt yet so she stands shorter than most of her peers, standing at 140 cm. Her build is scrawny, her youthful metabolism keeping her weight down. Her face is very round and her cheekbones and chin have yet to be defined. She has a couple of freckles on her cheeks but they're likely going to fade as she gets a bit older. She has a deep Scottish accent, hailing from a very rural part of Scotland. Colina's father always tells her that she's the spitting image of her mother. She has the same light caramel skin, shiny dark brown hair, and matching coloured eyes. Her nose is like her father's though, small and straight. When she smiles big enough, which is very rare for a person to see, she has small dimples. Colina doesn't spend a lot of time on her appearance. She pretty much only runs a brush through her hair until it's relatively neat, but she could care less if it's straight or tidy. Her clothing is a lot of sweaters and oversized shirts with lighter colours dominating the palette of her clothing.

Personality People who don't know Colina well think of her as cynical and sarcastic. Her demeanour mirrors her appearance, apathetic and laid-back. One of her defining traits is her sense of humour which is extremely sarcastic. Despite all of this, Colin is truly a very outgoing and social person. While she may not be totally energetic, she loves being around people. If she had the choice, she would always be hanging out with her schoolmates. By herself and at home, Colina is really cold and rough around the edges. She hates being alone and will make every effort to not be. Barely getting any regard from her father for her childhood, she relies on her schoolmates and friends to get the attention that she desperately craves. She puts on whatever mask she needs to put on to be with others. Her childhood has also led her to have a hard time making actual friends, having a lot of acquaintances rather than a lot of friends. Colina does not know how to control her anger very well and her fuse is very short and potent. Not a lot of things anger her, but when people bring up her hot buttons like her parents, her friends, her childhood. She's not the most stubborn, quite the opposite, in fact. She's pretty lax and will go along with whatever plans that her schoolmates have.

Pre-Hogwarts History a Reducio Tavish Doherty and Amelia Narvaez met during their time at Hogwarts. Tavish fell in love with Amelia and after graduating, she agreed to move to Scotland with him. They got married and moved to Inverness, Scotland. After a few years of being married, in December of 2009, Colina Doherty was born. From what Tavish has told Colina, they lived pretty happily for the first year of Colina's life. Then, Amelia passed away sometime in 2010. Tavish has never really liked to go into details about it, the most he's ever said was she died from some sort of strange unchecked magical illness. Tavish took Amelia's absence extremely poorly, spiralling into a depression. He started neglecting his duties at the Ministry and that eventually got him fired after a freak broom crash caused by his hand. Unable to pay for their current house at Inverness, Tavish and Colina moved to a small village in Scotland called Braemar. Unable to land a nearby Wizarding position, he settled for a job at the local library as a librarian. As Colina grew up, Tavish spent more and more time at his job, leaving her with their neighbour while he was away. Her name was Holly Ruisch, an old lady who lived alone and happened to be the only other wizard in the village. Colina spent a lot of her early years learning about the crazy things that happened in the wizarding world when Holly was younger. When Colina was old enough to enter primary school, Tavish didn't have many options to send her school-wise, so she was sent to the local Muggle public school. Colina absolutely loved it there, even though some of the Muggle customs confused her. There was a wide selection of people she could be friends with and she desperately sought out attention from a lot of them. Colina grew to love school so much that it ended up being the reason she had her first magical experience. She had gotten a really bad case of Scrofungulus, making her unable to attend school or see her friends for a week. Colina was very upset about this and one day while she was particularly grumpy about being bedridden, her Scrofungulus suddenly went away. Her skin was no longer flushed, her nose stopped running, her nausea gone; she looked like the picture of health. As secondary school approached, Colina was even more excited about attending Hogwarts. When Tavish and Colina did talk, he usually told her fantastical stories about he and her mother's time at Hogwarts, amplifying her excitement for the inevitable owl from Hogwarts accepting her into their school. a

First Year Reducio Stepping through Platform 9 3/4 was an exhilarating experience for Colina's first time. After spending all of primary school surrounded by muggle children she had to hide her secret from, it was so freeing to attend a magical school. Unlike most of the other children on the platform, she wasn't saying goodbye before hopping on the train, since her father refused to take her this far into the station. It was hard for him to interact with any part of the wizarding world ever since the passing of her mother. Shaking off her frown, Colina stepped onto the train that whisked her away to Hogwarts. There she met a friendly blue-haired girl in her compartment who got her to laugh quite a lot. They stayed together getting off the train and onto the boats. There they encountered the giant squid that lived in the Great Lake! Or... rather got scared into thinking that thanks to the eccentric caretaker guiding them to the castle. Finally, it was time for the Sorting Ceremony. Unlike a lot of the young students huddled with her, she didn't have many expectations for the event. Maybe it would be nice to be sorted into one of the houses her parents got sorted into, but other than that, Colina couldn't really be bothered to care. Apparently, the Sorting Hat didn't find her mind filled with apathy and confidently sorted her into Gryffindor without taking up much time. The hustle and bustle that followed made Colina's first day at Hogwarts go by in a flash. As she sat in the Great Hall the next day, overwhelmed by the amount of new wizard-related information being thrown at her, an older Slytherin girl addressed the entire hall. She announced that she was providing exactly what Colina needed, information for First Years. Colina was the first student to jump at her offer, learning about the layout of the school, how to navigate the stairs, and, most importantly, that there was a duelling club! Of course, Colina signed up for the duelling club after the Slytherin girl mentioned it. Sparked by all of Holly's stories and books about duelling, she had an obsession with it all of her childhood. So why wouldn't she take the opportunity to live out her childhood fantasy? She didn't get selected this year, which makes sense considering she signed up on the second day of school and had zero spells under her belt. She's incredibly hopeful about next year though. Colina's First Year was pretty standard, with some positive interactions, quite a few negative ones, and lots of homework from her new magical classes. Despite Charms or DADA matching her passion for duelling, Colina felt the most attachment to her Potions class. After spending her entire life collecting random objects she felt she might need, it was amazing discovering a field of study that involved gathering random objects and turning them into something really cool. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaFather, Librarianaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (9 September 1983 - ) Reducio Tavish Fletcher Doherty was born shortly after his twin sister, Teva, to Isla and Ewan in Scotland. He's a half-blood and was exposed to both the Muggle and the wizarding world. He grew extremely close with his mother as she told him all about different ancient civilizations when he was small. Tavish and Teva were extremely close. So close, in fact, that they had their first instance of magic at the same time. At around five years old, they were playing around when they started getting really really goofy and giggling a lot. As they were laughing, they both started floating up in the air. Isla was washing dishes when she saw this and quickly ran outside and caught them before either of them got hurt. Like Ewan, Tavish and Teva attended Hogwarts. He got sorted in Hufflepuff. He didn't get the best grades in the world, but he did pass. During his Second Year, Amelia started attending the school and he quickly became enamoured with her. By their Fifth Year, Amelia finally agreed to go out with him after the Second Wizarding War ended. When they graduated, Tavish and Amelia moved to Inverness together. They got married pretty quickly and he got a position in the Magical Transport department of the Ministry of Magic. He always made an effort to spoil her with what he could. Eventually, they decided to have a child and Colina was born. When Amelia died a year after, Tavish became extremely depressed. He loved her dearly and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. It didn't help that Colina was her spitting image. So he started slacking off at work and eventually, a freak broom accident was caused because of him and he got fired. Unable to pay for their house in Inverness, he moved him and Colina to Braemar and got a job as a librarian. Colina loves her father, though she wished he was around a bit more. She loved hearing his stories about his time at Hogwarts with his mother and he was very gentle. Holly says that he would be around more if he could, but she still wishes she was with him more. Like he didn't even stay with her when she left for Hogwarts.

Amelia Doherty

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaMother, Deceasedaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (12 February 1984 - 19 May 2010) Reducio Amelia Micaela Ramos was born in Puerto Rico to two wizards, Camila and Victor Ramos. For the first part of her childhood, Amelia lived in a pretty temperamental household since Camila and Victor really didn't like each other but insisted they would stay together. Eventually, they did divorce, with Camila getting custody and changing her and Amelia's last name back to her maiden name, Narvaez. She moved them to London where Camila could get a job at the Ministry of Magic as a Seer. Amelia didn't really care either way, she simply moved from having angry parents to a controlling mother. Since they were in London, Amelia started attending Hogwarts in her Second Year and got sorted into Gryffindor. She became friends with Teva Doherty, which came with her twin brother, Tavish. She didn't immediately connect with Tavish but she grew to like him. In her Fourth Year, Amelia discovered that she was a Seer and Camila was absolutely ecstatic about this. She began grooming her to be a Seer just like her. Amelia was more interested in plants though and didn't want to be forced into a career path she didn't want to go into. After the Second Wizarding War, Amelia finally gets together with Tavish, keeping it a secret from her mother. When she graduated and Camila started planning for her to go to the Ministry of Magic as a Seer, Amelia jumped at the opportunity to move to Scotland with Tavish. She cut off all ties with her mother and married Tavish. Amelia stayed unemployed after graduation, afraid Camila might track her down, spending most of her time figuring out how to damper her Seer powers and keeping her hair dyed. Eventually, Amelia gets pregnant and Colina is born. Unfortunately, she dies almost a year after. Colina doesn't remember anything about Amelia but is sure she would've been a great mother. Tavish has nothing but great things to say about her and gushes about her in practically all of their conversations. He says that Colina is almost exactly like her, down to her appearance.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaNeighbor, Retiredaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (23 July 1931 - ) Reducio Holly Lotte Ruisch was born to two muggles, Verena and Levi Ruisch in the Netherlands. She lived a comfortable life with her parents for her childhood. One day, though, while she was helping her father in the garden, she was laughing and the plants in the garden started growing at an extremely fast rate. Levi was extremely confused and didn't put together that Holly had anything to do with it. When she was 11, Holly was approached by Verena's estranged aunt who told her she was a wizard. She didn't believe her, at first, until she turned the cutlery in their kitchen to a bunch of birds. From there, she agrees to go with her and attend Beauxbatons. At Beauxbatons, Holly discovered that she was quite a powerful wizard, excelling in the duelling club and being quite the prodigy student. So, she was one of the students chosen to visit Hogwarts. At the ball, she bumped into a student in Hogwarts that caught her eye, a wizard named Nico Latakia. They were immediately attached to each other and spent almost all their time together while Holly was there. Before she departed, they gave her a Binding Mark so they could still chat. Holly and Nico chatted with each other using the Binding Mark whenever they could. When they graduated, Nico offered for her to live with them and she jumped at the opportunity. She moved to Scotland where she started training to be an Auror with Nico. They both got in and started working together. For a while, Holly and Nico had a lovely, if not dangerous, life working together at their job. Unfortunately, one day while they were in battle, Nico was killed. Holly was devastated, retiring from her position shortly after and moving to the small village of Braemar. When Tavish and Colina moved in, she offered to look after her and Tavish happily accepted. Colina loves Holly like her own grandmother. She looked after her more than her own father did. She was always so sweet and kind, telling her stories of her days as an Auror or baking sweets for her. She also knew when Colina was being a troublemaker and could put her in her place. The reason Colina is interested in duelling at all is because of Holly.

Ewan Doherty

aaaaaaaaaaPaternal Grandfather, Retiredaaaaaaaaaa (30 March 1949 - ) Reducio Ewan Malcolm Doherty was born to Atticus and Blair Doherty, two rich pureblood wizards from Scotland. They were very deep believers in the rooted prejudices of the wizarding world, believing that a wizard bloodline must be kept pure. Ewan was the heir of their fortune, so naturally, they groomed him to believe these things as well. When Ewan attended Hogwarts, he got sorted into Slytherin. He was extremely interested in all the clubs and sports at Hogwarts. Because of this, he befriended a lot of people and he slowly deconstructed his parent's beliefs. He actually found himself very interested in muggle customs, his favourite class definitely Muggle Studies. When he graduated, Ewan decided to immerse himself in the Muggle world for a bit without telling his parents. He became really close with Isla since she knew a lot about the history of the Muggle world, being a historian. Eventually, their friendship bloomed into romance and they decided to get together. Ewan abandoned his family so he could marry her. At the start of their marriage, Ewan worked at the Ministry of Magic in the Muggle Liaison department. When Tavish and Teva were born, though, he quit so he could be a stay-at-home dad for them. By the time they left the house, he decided that he wasn't interested in returning to the workforce so he officially retired. Colina and Ewan are pretty close. He and Isla frequently visit their home and he clearly loves seeing his granddaughter. He would constantly perform magic for her if she wanted him to and she loved seeing it, especially considering Tavish rarely used magic.

aaaaaaaaaPaternal Grandmother, Historianaaaaaaaaa (13 October 1946 - ) Reducio Isla Emer Byrne was born to Cara and Patrick Byrne in Ireland. She, like her parents, is a muggle. She grew up in a middle-class home which was relatively peaceful for her. At school, she found a love for history and wanted to learn more about it. After she graduated secondary school, Isla starts studying to be a historian. She moved to Scotland to work on the history of the Highlands. During her time there, she met a man named Ewan who seemed just as interested in the history of the world as she was, though she was confused about how little he knew about it considering he seemed interested in it. Eventually, as they grew closer, she learned he was a wizard. Isla was happy being Ewan's teacher, even if she didn't know much about his world. Eventually, they fell in love and Isla decided to reside permanently in Scotland. They got married and eventually she got pregnant with Tavish and Teva. She was able to continue her work thanks to Ewan quitting his job. Isla was the optimity of a grandmother in Colina's eyes. She was sweet and dotting, ready to spoil her with anything she wanted. She also occasionally helped her with her homework when she was at their house since Ewan, Holly, and Tavish didn't have a lot of experience with muggle homework.

Teva Burhan

aaaaaaaaaPaternal Aunt, English Teacheraaaaaaaaa (9 September 1983 - ) Reducio Teva Fiona Doherty was born to Isla and Ewan, her twin brother, Tavish, being born shortly after. She was extremely independent even as a child, Isla recalling that she barely had to raise her. When Teva and Tavish went to Hogwarts, Teva was sorted into Gryffindor. She was bunked with Amelia and the two quickly became friends. Tavish would constantly gush about Amelia to her and she would constantly tell him to let it go. To her surprise, though, the two of them go together shortly after the Second Wizarding War ended. She admitted she was wrong and that they made a cute couple. After Teva graduated, she settled into a desk job at the Ministry. As the years went on, she found that she didn't really like the hustle and bustle of the wizarding world. Then she met a man named Gabriel, who was a kind and simple Muggle she fell in love with. After their relationship progressed and she got pregnant with Nigel, she decided she wanted to settle fully into the life of a Muggle, taking on a job as an English teacher. Colina thought Teva was super cool. She didn't see her as frequently as she did her grandparents, but when she did, Teva would always be up to hang out with her niece. She treated Colina like an adult and didn't talk down to her. When they hung out, Colina felt closer to her equal than a child and an adult.

He was homeschooled by his mother and grew very close to her. Afterwards, he started an apprenticeship to become a carpenter up in Scotland. One day while he was working, a woman named Teva came into the store that immediately caught his attention. She was a free spirit and whimsical, and Gabriel eventually developed feelings for her. Eventually, they got married and had Nigel after a while. Gabriel was always pleasant with Colina. He didn't talk much in general when the two families hung out, but if she started a conversation with him, he would try his best to talk to her. Colina thought that he secretly was extremely eccentric but refused to show it.

Nigel Burhan

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaPaternal Cousinaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (23 November 2017 - ) Reducio Nigel Damien Burhan was born to Teva and Gabriel. They both love him a lot and care for him heavily. He's still a toddler so doesn't have many worries in life, other than his basic needs and getting the toys he wants. The last time Colina saw Nigel was when he was only two, so she hasn't really had an opportunity to bond with him that much. She thought he was adorable as a baby, and that's pretty much all the thought that Colina gives to Nigel.
