Aspen was born in Manchester, UK, on the 31st of October, 2009 to unknown parents. She was immediantly put up for adoption in the foster care system, but was fortunately adopted within a few months by her new Muggle parents, Florence and William Fernsby. Florence is a freelance writer for the local paper, and William works as an architect. The two work hard to help provide for their small family, and they love their daughter immensely. Aside from writing, Florence also enjoys gardening and allows Aspen to help with planting the flowers and watering the other plants. William has a talent for carving and had hand made many of Aspen's childhood toys, his personal favorite being her doll house.

Aspen enjoys her gardening time with her mother, but she also enjoys other hobbies such as baking, painting/drawing, and reading books. As a small child, Aspen had her own little cupcake stand on the corner of her village and would sell them for half a pound each. Her art revolves around drawing people she sees everyday. She isn't the most skilled artist, but it does bring her joy to practice. Aspen can usually be found reading books on different sciences, from humans to animals to insects. However, her favorite books are about the stars in the sky. For her 10th birthday, her father bought her her own telescope! The excitement that filled her heart was immaculate, and she now uses it almost every night at home as long as the sky is clear.

At the age of 7, Aspen first discovered her magical abilities after somehow managing to get from the ground into a tree when she was running away from a group of bullies. Upon hearing this, her adoptive parents were delighted, but were also afraid of what would happen were others to discover this. To help keep her safe, they decided to start homeschooling her until they knew what to do.

The day finally came when they received a letter from the magical school of Hogwarts, hand-delivered by one of the witches from Hogwarts. She informed them that their daughter had been accepted into Hogwarts, and she explained the Wizarding world to them. The Fernsbys were greatly relieved to find out that Aspen was not alone and excitedly got her ready for hernext adventure at Hogwarts.

Aspen is categorized as an INFP. She is empathetic with those around her when they are suffering. She is highly creative and passionate about her works. However, a downside to this is that she isolates herself from others, rendering her to be a bit of an outsider. She also can sometimes think unrealistically, even beyond the points of magic. She's shy and has a difficult time making friends with others as she doesn't entirely have the social abilities to do so.
