Eleanora's History

Eleanora Harper, also known as Nora or Eleanor, was born on the 22nd of April, 2009 in a tiny cottage near Edinburgh. Her parents were ecstatic, a magical father and a muggle mother. She was born into both worlds, and although confusing sometimes, Nora loves both the same. Her life was nestled in her small corner of Edinburgh until the age of 4, when she moved to London with her parents.

Noras childhood was filled with fun, loving moments. Being spoilt is one of the many treats of being an only child with adoring parents. Althought she does remember a dark moment in her life, it was around the time they were moving to London. Her parents financial situation was getting the best of them, moving to London was an expensive decision but something her parents had to do for her fathers job as an Auror. Her mother on the other hand was a doctor. They would yell and scream at eachother for nights on end while Nora layed in her room, eyes to the ceiling as she listened to the fight downstairs. Some nights it got the best of her, she would lie on her bed and cry, wanting the fight to stop. And stop it did. When they finaly moved to London, everything was normal. No more yelling, no more glass breaking, no more door slamming. Just peace and quiet. Now that Nora thinks of it, it's kinda peculiar how fast everything just stopped. But it was over and she was happy.

The rest of her childhood went in a flash, her parents jobs filled up most of their time but made sure to spend time with their daughter. Most of the time she was with her grandparents, on her fathers side. They were part of the wizarding world as well, as is all of her fathers side. Her father, Greg Harper, is a pureblood and was the first pureblood of the family to marry a muggle in generations. It was a huge scandal and a few family members don't interact with him anymore, however, most of the family is very accepting thankfully. Her mother, Evangaline Harper formally Evangaline Smith, is a muggle and was born into a muggle family who don't associate with her anymore ever since they gave her the choice: family or Greg. Of course, she chose Noras father and now dosent talk to them ever. This was all before Eleanora was born so she had never met them and never wishes to.

Eleanora went to private schools from the age 4 to 10 and had met many muggle children through the years. Although kind and loving, her parents were also very strict, especially when it came to the wizarding world. Every single day when she was to leave school her father would remind her, "Remember, never tell ANYONE about our world. It's our secret." And although fun and exciting to have a secret for just you and your parents, Nora knew how imporant it was to keep it. It was proven when she was 5 years old. She had let slip to her teacher about the world of magic, describing all the cool things they had and did. It was a shock to the teacher how a young child could come up with a very descriptive and in depth story, so she called the parents. Her teacher was so surpised and impressed of her story telling skills she thought it was necessary to inform the parents of her skill. As expected, it wasn't such a shock to her parents. In fact they were relieved the teacher thought it was just a mere story created by a child but they made sure that night to tell her NEVER to do it again. And it stuck because she never did.

Personality

Eleanora is a shy and private girl, keeping her life events and secrets with her family and friends (unless its a huge secret then she only shares it with her close friends). Her loyalty lies with those closest to her, many of her friends and family gush about her benevolence and ambitiousness towards the things close to her. However, all the kindness and ambitions she possesses doesn’t stop her from showing her pessimistic side when challenged and can be stubborn when she wants to, something she got from her father. Her favourite colour is dark blue, or any blue, preferably dark. Eleanora is also a talented musician, starting piano at the ripe young age of five. Her mother wanted her to start piano at a young age because she loved the sound of the piano yet didn't know how to play. Her father on the other hand didn't see the point in this, thinking that his magic could just play the music for her. However, he learnt to love it as she grew to become a beautiful and talented pianist. Nora is also a avid reader, at home bookcases line one wall of her bedroom. She has a preference for romance books.

Appearance

She has light blonde shoulder length hair with streaks of light brown tinges which is usually found in a messy bun on her head or a loose ponytail. Harper is of clear pale skin yet on her right elbow rests a birthmark the size of a walnut, something she is very self-conscious about. Small dark brown eyes adorn her face with thin black lashes. Nora isn't a very loud, flamboyant person so her clothes replicate her personality. She can be found on a normal day in jeans and a t-shirt. A dress has an occasional appearance if she feels like it.

First Accidental Magic Encounter

At age nine, Eleanora had her first encounter of accidental magic. It was a breath of relief for her parents who were starting to wonder if she will ever get it, but to her it was a bit confusing. Eleanora’s aunt, Polly Winkle, was getting married to her now husband, Eric Winkle. Eleanora's mother wished for her daughter to wear a beautiful purple dress to the wedding. Nora thought it was a very pretty dress but it just wasn't the right colour, so she refused to put it on. However, that wasn’t enough for her not to wear it, so with a lot of arguments and chasing around, Eleanora finally put the dress on with a pout. Then they went off to the wedding. Nora thought it was a retched thing to put a purple dress with a pretty blue handbag. They just don't go!, is what Eleanora was thinking the whole drive. She was so fustrated and angry that her mother didn't understand the important role of colour matching in an outfit. When her parents opened her door for Eleanora to step out, they were surprised to see Eleanora’s dress was now the colour light blue. It was a great surpise to see and on such a special day. Although it was good for two different reasons, her parents were happy that Nora had magic in her and Nora was just happy that she didn't have to wear that retched outfit design again.
