Background

Evelyn was born on July 20, 2009, at night to Iris and Jonathan Folse. She is the youngest of three. She has two older siblings Conner who is 18 and Alison who is 16.

Evelyn was not introduced to magic until her Hogwarts letter came as both her parents and her two older siblings are muggles. Her father is a lawyer and her mother is a pharmacist. Often Evelyn and her siblings had to stay at the pharmacy after school. Her siblings would do homework and Evelyn would often wander around. Then after they had finished they would join her. Soon, Evelyn did homework as well and the amount of time her siblings spent on homework got longer.

She grew up in a very loving environment. Her mother always planned family trips for them to do whenever there was time. Her parents spent as much time with her and her siblings as they could, trying to make sure they were at least there to have dinner together.

Though her siblings were much older than her, they spent quite a lot of time together. They (as their parents wanted them to be) were very creative and imaginative. They made up most of the games they played and it could get very complex with backstories and such.

Everyone was shocked when Evelyns' Hogwarts letter arrived. Though the kids had grown up with stories of witches and wizards, that had, for the most part, thought of them as stories. Now it turned out there was some truth to those stories. Nonetheless, they were pleased and very interested in the wizarding world. Evelyn was especially happy, not only was she introduced to something very exciting, but she had something special about her too. Conner was good at sports and Alison was smart. Though, Evelyn was the most creative out of the three she never really thought of this as her "thing".

First Instance of Magic

Evelyn was six at the time. She, along with the other neighbourhood kids around that age, had been invited to Willem Allen's birthday party. Everything was going smoothly and Evelyn was having lots of fun there was food, presents, cake, games, and of course her friends.

Then t was time for the pinata. All the kids were lined up and waiting for their turn, including Evelyn. Just then a boy with sandy brown curls roughly pushed in front of her. He was one of the oldest at the party and seemed to think he owned the place.

Evelyn had landed on the ground when he pushed her and glaring up at him turned his curls bright bubble gum pink. He and his mother both were rather fond of his curls and he got very angry. He blamed her for the incident and threw a fit, Evelyn parents arrived and picked her up. The party was mostly over though and kids were already leaving.

It was pretty easy for the International Statute of Secracy to clear it up. After all, how could the six-year-old dye his hair? It would have taken time and, as Evelyn was six, it would be very good. His hair had been dyed from the roots up perfectly, not a strand missing. Plus, she would have needed dyes and had none.

Clearing Evelyn's name had been simple but blaming it on something else was not. There was no reasonable explanation for why his hair had turned pink. They said he just have gotten into something, as young children do, and it turned his hair pink. The other children said he had been missing for a time (really he'd gone to check out the goody bags) and so they said it must have happened then. Besides this all the adults were very tired and, as it wore off pretty quickly, they blamed it on that. The adults had only seen it long enough to run to him just before they arrived it was gone. After this first instance, Evelyn had many more but the International Statute of Secrecy was always able to clear it up.
