Personality: Athena has light strawberry blonde hair that is normally tied up messily in a ponytail. Strands of it often fall in front of her gray-green eyes, which can be crinkled at the corners with a smile, focused and intent (normally on a book she is reading), or flaming with anger. Her matter-of-fact grin when she knows something that another person doesn't is seen very often. Her freckled face is normally speckled with dust. She has tanned skin, usually scattered with small scratches. Athena is pretty tall and lanky, as well as a bit skinny, as she is still growing into her body. With her long legs and arms, she is very fast. She chooses clothes based on comfort, which often results in very mismatched colors, Athena's specialty. She almost always has her nose in some book, yet somehow always manages to navigate Hogwarts with ease.
History/Background Story: Born into a magical, wizard family, Athena made it her personal goal to learn all there was to know about magic. Her parents, who both graduated Hogwarts as Ravenclaws, raised her lovingly with her younger sister, Anne. They weren't surprised when they received the letter, though Athena was bursting with excitement.
From a young age, Athena had always been fascinated by dragons. The crazy girl studied them, sketched them, wrote about them, and even liked to pretend to be one. She knows far too many various facts on dragons; their behavior, habitat, species, mutations, and just about everything else. She loves animals as well, but aren't dragons just so much cooler? Her life-long dream is to meet a real, live dragon. She also loves to read. She'll often spout out huge words such as "scintillating" and "feuillemort", which everyone fails to understand.
At the age of six, she had her first instance of magic. This was during school, when a girl Athena particularly hated insulted Athena to her face. This, of course, absolutely outraged Athena. She stared daggers at the back of the rude girl's head as she walked away, and suddenly, all of the bully's bob cut fell to the ground, leaving the poor girl completely bald.
Athena was shocked. She had expected to get her first spark of magic soon, but never had she thought it would be this.
The future Hogwarts student expected to feel remorse, or guilt, but she felt neither. In fact, she was faintly amused, but mostly wondering how her parents were going to explain this to the principal. In general, Athena is a nice girl, but she has absolutely no mercy for people she dislikes. Of course, after a few hours, the hair grew back, and her parents had to explain, or rather, lie, that they had nothing to do with this.
The next day, however, the unfortunate victim of Athena's returned to school, with hair longer than her knees. The girl never bothered Athena again.
Personality: Athena is the type to not care what others think. Walking into a mall covered in mud and dust? Who cares? A typographical error in a book? THE WORLD IS ENDING!!
She's also very curious, and while she loves to learn new things, she absolutely despises it when people know something she doesn't.
Athena is very hard-working; sometimes to the point where she needs a friend to intervene. Being a huge perfectionist, she isn't often satisfied with her work. She's not the most talkative type, save for when she is yammering on explaining something, and she generally stays quiet in social events, unless someone irritates her, in which case, you have about five seconds to run.
She is still getting accustomed to her new House, but she doesn't really know how she feels about it. At first, she was crestfallen that she hadn't been put into the House both her parents were in, and, what she thought was the perfect House for her, Ravenclaw. But after being part of the Slytherin House for a while, she is starting to warm up to it and the people in it, even if it is the House that most villains come from.
Interests: She is fascinated by dragons, and loves to learn more about them.
