"Grant, Where were you last game?" Paige ran into the locker room, hastily pulling her hair back into a pony tail. "Couldn't make it " She said to her coach. Her coach accepted that and left the room. Another one of Paige's teammates would not let Paige's answer stand. "I reckon she was just taking a break." She said loudly. Paige ignored her as she tied her shoes. "I mean, I dont blame her. She must of gotten tired of the extra hard practices we've been having. She's just not strong enough." And at this, Paige laughed. Good and hard. No.
What a mistake. "I would think you're calling me weak. But I just be mistaken." She said. In fact, she was sure she's handled way more things than this girl. The girl, however, had no brains. "Your words, Grant. I, for one, use the gum every day because MY parents have a membership." The girl seemed to be looking at Paige, just noticing her short height. Paige noticed. "And I suppose you think because I'm smaller I'm weak?" She asked.
The girl said nothing but her face gave her the answer. Paige slowly nodded. "Looks can be deceiving."
****
And it was true. Paige was actually very strong. Coming from a girl who was as short as she, you wouldn't expect that. She first realized her strength when her brother was attacking her. Well, not attacking, really. But he was pinning her to the floor and tickling her. Paige wrenched her arm free, she had pulled so hard, that not only did she get her arm from his grip but she punched Ross right in the face. And he fell backwards from the blow. She did not mean for that to happen, she hadn't known her own strength.
Not long after, she had come across a kid shoving her best friend, Kathy, against the fence trying to steal her ball at recess. She grabbed the kids shirt and pulled him back so hard, he tripped. She only pulled him right back up and swung her fist right at his face.
He fell backwards as she let go of him, and only then did she notice how big that kid had been. She told her parents about these strang things, but they only regarded it as extra strength from sports. In her parents defense, Paige played many sports and did work out a lot during practices. Paige, on the contrary, was unsure if this extra strength was normal. Even so, who was she to complain. A little (okay, a lot) of strength never hurt anybody... right?

Susan always wondered why her father's mother had pointy ears growing up. She would tug on them as a baby and try to pull them off. "Now Susan, you know my ears aren't toys. Stop that." her grandma would say to her as a toddler. "Pointy! Pointy! Mine!" Susan would cry happily as she tugged again. "Nu. Eork ora mus suaek." Laura said in gobbledegook. Susan looked confused before babbling back. "Fimmae romsiosa." Susan replied as she laughed.
How exactly did Susan learn gobbledegook? She had heard her father say it to her grandma Laura. She mimicked him growing up as babble and baby talk, but eventually, she picked up bits and phrases here and there. The more time she spent with grandma Laura the more goblin speak she learned. She liked talking in goblin language, and sometimes Susan would talk in it without realizing that she was doing so. "Sikom, subrem kvaod ek umrae su ba duma oruimd aeuir sromdko Loiro omd kaekark." her father said as he reprimanded her for using it and confusing her brother. "Odoae doddae. I ruqa aeui." Susan replied as she giggled.
As she grew up, she realized that she wasn't as tall as the other kids in her Muggle classes. It really upset her, but she knew that something special was about to happen to her as she watched her brother go off to Hogwarts. Standing at only 4 feet 8 inches tall by the time Jack went off to Hogwarts really upset her, but she understood why she wasn't growing as tall as the other children her age. Her father had told her that she was half-goblin and that it came from grandma Laura's side of the family. Susan looked up at her father and said, "Com va su kaa sromdko Loiro? I voms su sarr rar obuis Jocd suems ukk su kcruur omd sra seoms sroem."
James smiled at Susan as he gave her a hug and a kiss on her forehead. "Sira Sikom. Las'k su kaa sromdko Loiro bakura va raod ruka. I ok kira kra verr ba axcesad su raor obuis Jocd suems ukk su Husvorsk." Jack replied. Susan hopped up and down excitedly as she skipped back to the car and they went to see her grandma Laura. "Grandma is sleeping right now. I'm sorry Susan." her grandpa said sadly as he answered the door. Susan was heartbroken that she wouldn't be able to learn more about the goblin side of her family from her grandma Laura until another day.
Susan decided to hang out with her grandpa and bake some desserts for her grandma Laura and brother. She wanted to send some homemade treats as a gift to Jack during his first year. Susan knew he loved grandpa’s special black bun and Dundee cake. As they baked her grandpa taught her a song about the Jacobites. Susan liked singing Scottish and Irish folk songs.
As her grandma and parents watched them bake they joined in on the singing. Susan really missed Jack, but baking with her grandpa made her feel better. After the treats were cooled and packaged up she wrote a letter to her brother and put it on the lid with lots of tape. Wrapping it up in twine and handing it to her mom with a smile she hoped Jack would like the treats.

Extraordinaire.
That was how people had described Penthesilea ‘Penny’ Blackthorn, but many only knew her by her name. Few had seen her, and even fewer knew her true appearance. The woman had created a career out of being everyone and no one, due to the talent, as she called it. She was the very first in her family to explore the talent that she had been given, despite her parents having advised her to not do it, scared of the dangers it could cause their only daughter, but the woman had always been stubborn - who was going to tell her what to do?
After marrying the man of her dreams, her ‘talent’ was inherited through the legacy formed from her. While only one of her children directly inherited what she carried, her talent ended up jumping through generations, making sure that one family member would always carry what she had brought them.
Needless to say, Metamorphmagi was not a rare occurrence within the Blackthorn family. It was usually expected that at least one child every generation would carry it, and adults made sure to keep their eyes out, so everyone would be discovered, no matter the age it was discovered in.
While most of the adults in the Blackthorn family was positive towards the ‘talent’, not everyone was as excited about it. Ethan and Esther Blackthorn, parents to Isaak Blackthorn, were one of the few pairs that did not see metamorphmagi as a talent. Ever since the news of Esther's pregnancy, they had hoped that their own child would not inherit the abilities that his great, great grandmother had carried. They had hoped that it would be easier, since Ethan's mother had been the last carrier of the gene, and none of her other kids or grandchildren had inherited it - maybe it finally meant that the gene was out of the family?
While all they could do was hope their hoping seemed to be for nothing.
Already during his infant years, the boy proved to be a mouthful for his parents, when he showed his very first sign of the magic within him, changing his hair colour in a hit fit thrown towards his own mother. While his small baby mind did not fully understand what had happened, both of his parents knew exactly what it meant, and realized that their wishes had not been heard.
Why exactly Esther and Ethan were so much against the talent that was found within their child, but it was most likely the fear of the unknown - while Ethan’s mother had been very closed of woman, she had also never shown what she was capable to do to her kids or anyone around her. That way, her own kids didn’t even recognize her abilities until they were told much later in life, and even after then, she did not wish to show them. The fear didn’t only reach the unknown - it also reached the known. How would other kids react to him? Would it make his school years harder, would people try and manipulate him for their own benefits, and what if he couldn’t even control his powers?
Despite the fears, they knew that they needed to put them away as the boy grew older, especially since his abilities wouldn't end up fading the older he got.
Isaak also grew up very much aware of everything that was happening to him. He couldn’t remember his first instances of the ability kicking in, but the older he got, the more he remembered happening. While he had never seen his parents directly comment upon his abilities, or show their fears about it, he would often hear them talk in the afternoon about the future that was ahead of him - how troublesome it could get, how much they feared he would be an outcast, and how they feared if he would end up hurting others, or himself. Hearing such things from a young age only means that you will never forget it - and neither did Isaak.
Listening to his parent's dismay, he tried everything to please them. He tried keeping his powers under control, he tried staying away from everything that could set him off and cause him to react, he tried as much as a young boy could to never see his parents frown or hear them talk about his future again. And he succeeded - at least for a while. But his parents never stopped talking. They never stopped fearing, and they never stopped wishing that everything would turn out the best.
Unsure what the young boy could do, he started to turn to himself. Became more introverted, stayed in his room with the nose in his books, stayed away from trouble and anything else that could throw the attention upon him, but even his young mind knew that he could not continue that way - someday, he would have to learn about himself and someday, he would have to take the fights that could come with it. But, for now, he simply wished to see his parents happy, and that was by being the boy they wished to see. By making sure that every day he woke up, and looked like himself in the mirror. By making sure that he never let them catch onto what he knew - no matter what.

ReducioShe was losing, how? She could've sworn this duel would've been a somewhat easy win, but here she stood 2v1, of course herself being the 1. This duel was just a practice but she was determined to win this one, it being a good learning point for her. The duel wasn't going nearly as well as she wished it was, in fact it was doing the precise opposite. She was so determined to win, how could she not? She was a good duellist, or at least she was told so, she didn't really believe it.
Standing opposing her teammates, somehow practice matches were always harder than normal ones, maybe its because these people were her friends, so sending spells at them that Del knew could hurt them was just a little harder. But she knew it was good for learning, they were always healed after, they would be fine. Readying herself with her duelling stance and wand out in front of her, she did her normal mental scan of her spells, figuring out which would be the best one. Incendio Duo would work, but seemed a bit brutal on her teammates, maybe just a Flipendo would work. Yeah Flipendo was good. She pointed her wand at the leftmost opponent, and when she received her mental cue, she cast.
Wait..what was happening? She watched as her spell hit both of the opponents. Did it..split? She knew a couple of the people her age were able to do that but she done it by accident, was it because she thought about it too hard? How did she do it?
Once the duel was over, and was relieved from the hospital wing, she headed back to the duelling room and set up 2 mannequins. Unfortunately she had still lost the duel, despite this new skill she seemingly had. Maybe it was an illusion, she was pretty tired, the duel had went on for a long time, did she really split her spell? She absolutely couldn't believe it, but at the same time she was so excited!
Thinking about the people she knew who were able to split their spells, she was stunned, they were all so far superior to Del in her mind. Being able to hit 2 people at once, in duelling that was absolutely legendary to her. Get one good spell in and you could hit both? That is nuts.
She stood facing the mannequins in the duelling room, and shouted "Flipendo!", this time putting in all of her mental energy and attention onto both opponents rather than one or the other. She watched, and jumped for joy as she saw the spell split into two!....neither of them hit the mannequins..but that didn't matter right now! This was just another step in her development as a new-ish duellist, always trying to be as helpful to the team as she could. And here, now she could split her spells, it was quite exhausting, but she could do it, all she needed was some practice, and best believe thats what she would be doing.

Ability: Calming presence
Why does it fit with your character?:
ReducioMaggie Hawkins would never really describe herself as 'calming' if she wasn't paying attention. Not at all, because all her life, her mother would tell her to "tone it down, Magpie" or "calm yourself". Not bad things to hear, especially when operating through a hyperactive mind and bad tendency to ramble, ignore those around her in her own reverie. And that was fine, because Maggie truly didn't mind! She didn't mind being a lot. Most of the time.
However, as she drifted through life, she came to notice the little things. How those around her would visibly relax when she cracked jokes to ease tension, how people were so comfortable in metaphorically spilling their guts to her, even if she hadn't done anything that constituted the confidentiality. She didn't mind one bit, honest. If anything, it made her feel useful.
The strange ability had always been present.
At age six, while playing outside her apartment with her friend, Pippa, Maggie can distinctively remember jumping through puddles in the rain. It had been raining, but not to the point of pouring. Perfect weather for two little girls to bounce in puddles and and splash unclean water onto one another.
"Maggie! Look how high I can get if I just climb up here!" Pippa yelled, leaving Maggie's side to climb a small cinder-block staircase that led up towards one of the dark mahogany doors of the apartment complex. At first glance, it looked perfectly stable. If one were just jumping from the top step, that is. Pippa had shimmied up towards the top of the peeling steel banister that was fixed to the side of the staircase. Briefly, Maggie wondered how safe it was to jump from it, but thinking didn't exactly do anything to stop Pippa. So, desperate to just get the longest amount of airtime, Pippa jumped.
Her little rainboot got caught under the top of the banister, dragging her right back down from where she'd attempted to jump and sending her crashing down to the sidewalk. Almost immediately, Pippa began to cry.
And that just wouldn't do, now, would it? So Maggie was on her in an instant, crouched beside her friend and gently shushing, trying to avoid looking at where the top layer of skin was peeled away in a red, raw wound. "Hey, hey, it's okay! It's okay, Pip, ," Maggie whispered, reaching up and soothing tears away from her friend's cheeks with gentle thumbs. Ordinarily, had it been anyone else, Maggie knew Pippa would still be wailing. She'd seen it millions of times before, how Pippa would continue crying when even her mother attempted to soothe her through pains such as these. And yet Pippa immediately calmed, just weakly hiccuping as she regained her breathing. "Hey, look? It wasn't even that bad!"
Pippa nodded weakly and attempted a little smile. All calmed down, calmed down enough for Maggie to go get her mom.
"Stay here, big baby," Maggie joked gently, getting to her feet. Pippa giggled, just soft, and Maggie did, too, and all was good.

Name of Ability or Race/Talent that you are applying for: Seer Calming Presence
Describe why this fits your character:
ReducioGaia had, and still has, no idea that an historic lineage of a seers runs deep in her fathers' bloodline. Her father, Silas, was born of muggle parents who had once belonged to a wizarding family before the magic was bred out of their lineage when wizards and muggles began to mingle and start families together. This, in turn, caused the magical side of the Tempest bloodline, to seperate from the non-magical blood relatives, severing the muggle Tempest's ties with the wizarding world for years to come. Many generations continued to believe in the magic that once belonged to their family and passed down tales of family wizards and witches, until they were merely family legend. Then one day Silas received a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy.
This turned Silas's world upside down, as he now knew all the tales of magic passed down in the family had truth behind them. Silas was able to track down information about his magical heritage from staff and studies, and every now and then Silas would spot a 'Tempest' surname in a trophy cabinet or on award plaques throughout the school. There were also many instances in his divinations classes where the teacher would call him The Tempest instead of Tempest, when he raised his hand to answer. One day she explained that there had been a line of Seers under the name Tempest, but she was unsure if this was the same bloodline or just coincidence.
While Silas attended Hogwarts where he would meet his eventual wife, Analise Tauber, who was a kind witch that came from a long line of healers and sages. Tauber, meaning 'Dove', which is a symbol for peace. Analise taught Gaia from a young age to be loving, kind, and have no judgement or expectation toward any living creature. This helped Gaia cultivate a compassion and empathy for humans and nature that rarely is seen in children her age.
Gaia grew up learning about magic from a young age from the stories her mother told her of growing up the wizarding world, but gained a fascination and compassion for the muggle world as well from her fathers point of view, giving her a love and compassion for both worlds in their own right.
Silas still remembered a handful of old stories he had been told about his family before they knew magic really ran in their veins, and told them to Gaia as bedtime stories. Silas would tell her a story of a magical woman who was called "The Tempest" and was what they called a Seer. "Wherever the Tempest went she would bring a sense of hope with her for she could see the light and the light spoke to her. The light would tell her what was to come, and how to help overcome these future endeavors. Although The Tempest was heavily burdened by the events she would sometimes see, she continued to use her gift to help those around her live a beautiful life." Although the story was vague, for a child Gaia's age, it was all she needed to be inspired. "When I grow up, I want to be just like you and The Tempest and take care of people, Papa.", Gaia would exclaim as she get ready for bed after the story. "I have no doubt you will." he would always respond.
When Gaia turned seven, her father passed away, and this changed her world forever. Holding onto his bedtimes stories for comfort and striving to keep her wish alive - to be like her father when she grew up. After the death of her father, Gaia took up taking care of her brother and mother even more ambitiously, like her father would have done.
Gaia noticed an extremely small patch of grey hair start to grow near her temple region about a year after her father passed, and she brushed it off, thinking the stress of losing her father and trying to take care of her family was the cause. There were several times Gaia thought to pluck the grey hairs from her head, but they grew back grey every time until she accepted they were there to stay.
Over the years Gaia's mother would also nickname her the 'lucky duck' as Gaia always happened to be in the right place at the right time or that people seemed to open up to her instantly for support and advice. She was always taught by her mother to follow her intuition which sometimes feels more powerful than her own thoughts at times. Sometimes it seemed like others are at ease in her presence and can be open and honest.
Gaia was extremely excited when she got her letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry so she could continue to search for answers to fill in the gaps of her Tempest bloodline, but also to learn from great masters that could help her cultivate and master any skills or abilities she may procure as she gains wisdom and skill in the magical arts.

ReducioAspen's eyes opened suddenly from her slumber at her alarm clock began to rattle and ring on her side table. She had just the most peculiar dream of... Well, she couldn't remember it now. It was long gone from her memory already, just as every dream she had before. She tiredly sat up and awakened her muscles before deciding to get dressed for the day. Outside her window, Aspen could see rain clouds slowly moving over their village. Rain, she thought. She and her father were supposed to go out to visit the gardens today, but it didn't as though it were to happen now.
Aspen finished with putting on her favorite dress and headed down the stairs towards the smell of brewing breakfast in the kitchen. Mother was on the phone, chatting happily with her sister as Father was cooking up a full-English breakfast with mushrooms, eggs, and sausage included. As soon as Aspen entered the kitchen, Mother quickly said, "Gotta go, chat with you later!" and hung up.
"Was that Aunt Marie?" Aspen questioned.
"Well, yes it was!" Mother smiled and started herself a cup of tea. "How do you always know who calls the phone, hm?" Aspen just shrugged and glanced out the window again. Something felt strange that day, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. It didn't feel good or bad, but almost as though there was something she had forgotten.
"One English breakfast for you!" Father said excitedly as he set the plate down for Aspen. "And one for me and your mother!" He set the other two plates down on the mats in front of his chair and Mother's. Mother smiled and sipped her seat before taking a seat next to her husband. Father took note of the peculiar silence of his child and asked in concern, "Is everything alright, kiddo?" Aspen only nodded as she ate her breakfast. Believing her, the parents began to haave their regular adult talks that Aspen didn't understand.
The young girl was in deep, deep thought of many things. Her mind was always a ramble of questions and thoughts, some simple and others complex. What even is the purpose of a rubber duck other than to float in the water? Who are her real parents? Where did she come from? Who came up with the names of the animals? What if A cat was a dog and a dog was a cat? What was my dream about? Why isn't dad telling the truth?
The last question quickly slapped Aspen out of her kingdom of thoughts, and she regained her consciousness once again just as her parents were discussing their careers. "Oh work has been fine," Mother said. "It's a bit difficult balancing work and Aspen's schooling out, but I can manage myself. How about you? Did you get the promotion you were telling me about?"
Aspen didn't even give Father time to answer before she blurted out, "Dad, did you get fired?"
Silence fell upon the small family. A pale color took over Father's shocked face. "What... What was that you asked, sweetie?" he questioned in a trembled tone.
"Did you get fired?" Aspen asked again. Mother was stunned and quite anguished as the sudden accusation Aspen was making.
"Aspen Ethel Fernsby, you know better than to be asking those sorts of questions!" Mother had never seemed so angry before and looked to her husband for confirmation. "Of course you weren't fired, you just got promoted did you not?"
Father didn't seem as though he wanted to answer either of them, but he knew he would have to. "I, well... I thought I was getting the promotion, but... It was rather a... demotion..." He took in a breath before looking to his daughter. "Aspen, please go to your room for a little while. I need to speak with your mother." Obediantly and wanting to get out of the awkward situation, Aspen quickly finished what she had left of breakfast and made her way back up the steps to her bedroom.
Apen couldn't help but feel guilty for what she had said, but she felt as though she couldn't hold it in. Something was telling her that she knew something but it didn't come to her until right that very moment, but why? Aspen did not know the answer just as much as she didn't know the true roots of her family and where she really came from.

The gift of sight was not common among the pureblooded members of the Campbell family. While their lineage as one of the great Scottish wizarding families dated back hundreds of years, the occasional seer popping up in the bloodline was very rare, with few appearing and even fewer tapping into the true potential of their abilities. In spite of the family's centuries-old pride of intellect, ingenuity, and — one might go so far as to say— intuition, they were not very known for boasting accomplished seers.
However, the pureblooded Galantelli family, of Romani origins prior to settling in Italy, were nothing if not blessed in the realm of mystic arts. And, unfortunately, cursed with the underlying and accompanying madness that tended to follow the more gifted seers of their time. Their family history was not a charming one, their abilities were rarely celebrated, and many would keep a low profile out of fear or persecution or ostracization. The wizarding community that they were a part of was very tight-knit with many secrets passed along through the grapevine. It was small, but close. They did not live lavishly as the Campbells did, nor did they have as great a sense of security, but they knew how to blend in. Those of the family that did not accrue the gifts of mysticism would work to aid in the protection of development of the family, and as the world began to change, they sought the opportunity to exploit their abilities for better gain.
To muggles, they were simply telling fun little fortunes. To other wizards, they were using their gifts to the detriment of both communities. But that didn't stop the Galantellis from pursuing fortune and comfort. Over time, the lines between actual seers in the family and those that were simply frauds seemed to blur. Their reputation began to sour, and salvation would not come until the early 1900s in the form of Beatrice Galantelli and Alastair Campbell.
Said to be a bright spark in her early years, her greyish blue eyes were always full of whimsy and she was never to regard anyone without adding in her two cents. Beatrice was a wild child of sound mind and soul. Alastair was very much the opposite, with a level head and a softer sense of being, but somehow they clicked.
On a trip to Italy in 1909, Alastair and Beatrice met in a dimly lit corner of an old winery and since established a relationship. By 1911 and in light of the brewing war between the Italian and Turkish muggles, Alastair pled with Beatrice flee her home to travel to Scotland, and thus become married. While she may have been one of the last seers of the Galantelli family, Beatrice would end up being one of the true great firsts in the Campbell family until her untimely death in the late 40s. Her successor of the sight would arrive a few generations later in the form of her great-great-great-grandson, Quentin Campbell.
Among the three Campbell triplets born to Florence and Nigel Campbell, Quentin was considered to be a bit of a late bloomer when it came to the manifestation of his magic. Or at least, so the family thought. His true magical potential, contrary to what they believed, did not first appear at the age of nine but in his younger years. But nobody noticed. After all, how would they? There were no grand physical gestures, no sudden explosions or magical fixes. Quentin just seemed to have an extra sense for danger at times and that certain never appeared as anything magical. Yet what his parents and siblings called coincidence or serendipity, Beatrice would've called the early stages of developing the sight.
Quentin would often find himself tuning into potential outcomes of his siblings' plans and be just in time to save from a possible disaster. Dodging projectiles seconds away from their path of flight, suddenly feeling the urge to place napkins on the floor some time before a spill of milk would almost drench the wood paneling (as it happens, his first prediction at age 4 — even if at the time he didn't understand it as a prediction.). It was confusing, and even Quentin himself didn't quite understand when he would suddenly catch a glimpse of a moment in his mind's eye that had yet to occur in real time. For the most part, it was often a feeling, but the occasional flash of an image across his vision was enough to disorient anyone. And while he was sometimes thankful for the outcome of these feelings and flashes, he couldn't help but pray that they would go away. He would not share these moments with anyone, and he would try his best to repress what he could not comprehend until he could repress it no longer.
...If only he had Beatrice to guide him.

Despite Lovanna being so small for an eleven year old Lovanna was extremely strong. Stronger then people years older than her, she was on a volleyball team and was bullied regularly by her team mates for being short for her age.
"I mean it isn't her fault she's so small, but she just isn't strong enough to be on this brilliant volleyball team." said the leader of the bullies extremely loudly, so the coach and Lovanna could hear her.
"You wanna bet?" Lovanna asked her confidently.
"Let's go." the bully said to Lovanna slyly.
"Your weak and the smallest person on this team. So you won't be on this team much longer, Slovan," the bully said loudly and laughing.
'"Oh, really? I may be small, but don't underestimate my strength or abilities, you may be older than me and in your words wiser but bullying's wrong you just don't understand that." Lovanna said proudly "I may be small but the size of you is nothing compared to who you are on the inside."
"Oh, really?" cackled the bully. "Your family are losers, so are your werido mates, but nothing compared to your ugly face."
She had crossed the line.
Lovanna ran forward grabbed the bully's shirt and pulled her up into the air.
"If you say one more mean word about me, my family or friends you will regret it." Lovanna growled at the bully.
"Ok, ok I won't do anything." said the bully in a way Lovanna knew she was being sarcastic.
"I mean it you will regret it," she growled again and she let the bully down onto the floor. The bully ran off to her so called protectors and began laughing and giggling.
"She is so weird strutting about as if she owns the place I will get her kicked of this team." Lovanna heard the bully whisper.
She had once again in the last few minutes crossed the line, and Lovanna went charging to the bully once again.
But this time the coach walked and told everyone it was practice time. Selina was on a different team to the bully.
Lovanna had hid the ball so hard the ball had popped but Lovanna's team had won.
"You made the ball explode you will pay Slovan." the bully said when they finished the game and the bully slapped Lovanna hard, but Lovanna stepped forward and pulled the bully to the floor.
"Will I regret it though? S t a y a w a y f r o m m e!" Lovanna said clearly.

Lovanna was a Pure-blooded witch but respected everyone else's blood status'. Lovanna grew up surrounded by the dark arts, books, spells, hexes, curses and everyone else's abilities. But no one ever in a million years thought that she could be a Parslemouth.
But what Lovanna didn't know was that her parents had attended Hogwarts instead of Beauxbatons which Lovanna attended.
She knew that her mother had gone to Hogwarts and had been placed in Ravenclaw but she didn't know her father had attended Hogwarts and been placed into Slytherin.
Lovanna didn't know her father had bad blood running through his veins because of his ancestors, and he had passed that blood to Lovanna and now it was running through her body.
Lovanna found a grass snake when walking outside and it seemed to like and be attracted to Lovanna it looked awfully and hungry.
Lovanna picked it up and it was holding her tightly and snuggling up to her, Lovanna brought it inside and tried to nurse it back to health by giving it common toads. It ate them up quickly.
Lovanna's step brother was in the room at that moment and her mother and they were both talking to each other not realising the strange hissing noise coming from Lovanna's mouth.
Her step-brother finally noticed and asked Lovanna what language was she speaking but she payed no attention not hearing her step-brother he began creeping up behind her to see what she was doing.
The strange hissing noise again began coming from Lovanna's mouth and the grass snake seemed to understand as it nodded in agreement and shook it's head in disagreement. Her step-brother slowly crept from where Lovanna and her so called pet snake were.
Her mother came over to Lovanna and she was still hissing to the snake and the snake nodded to her mother standing over her shoulder without Lovanna realising it.
Lovanna jumped out of her skin realising her mother standing right behind her.
Darling, we think you might be a Parstlemouth, as a young child you had the ability to talk to snakes we thought it might blow over but it hasn't stopped." her mother finally said breaking the silence between everyone.
This was brilliant news for Selina she had something unique about herself, she knew her great, great, great grandfather had been a Parslemouth but she never thought she could be one herself. This was very disturbing for her mother but her step-brother said it was extremely cool, her mother couldn't believe she could have inherited such a dark talent from her, great, great, great grandfather.
When Lovanna's father found out she was a Parslemouth he apologised over and over again to his wife about they're daughter inheriting such a dark talent but her step-brother was extremely proud of her.
She never knew that she was a full Parslemouth and thought this was a one off. But I guess Lovanna was wrong it continued over the many years after this happened and it was even harder concealing it when she went to Beauxbatons, but a few people did find out about it.

STATUS: ApprovedReducioToday was about as both beautiful and as boring as it could be, while it was a nice summer day out, not many kids were out today. Yes, it was hot out, but still Lily figured at least some groups would be out today. These were Lily's thoughts as she walked down the street towards the playground, "Lily, hey Lily!" a happy voice said from behind. Lily turned around towards the source of the voice, "Morning Carrie!" Lily greeted as she waved. Upon further inspection, Lily noticed not too far behind Lily was none other that Carrie's little cousin Mikey, running along as hyper as usual. "Woosh! Woosh! I shall defeat all the bad guys!" the boy proclaim superhero toy in hand.
"As energic as ever I see, hello Mikey!" Lily said looking past Carrie. With the smallest of gasps Mikey's innocent grey eyes light up as he hopped towards Lily, "Hello!"Mikey rejoiced in a much calmer voice, giving Lily his best attempt at a big hug. "Magic. touch."was all Carrie could say as Mikey's hug continued. "Is. not!" Lily retorted. "He just likes me better." In honesty Lily didn't get it at all, whenever she was around the ever-so-hyper one known as Mikey would calm down in no time at all. Something she very both very useful and very strange at the same time. "Anyway, what brings you two out?" Lily asked. "Bordem," Carries stated dully."There's nothing to do and nothing to watch, so I told Mikey we'd go out and play. Thing is, I'm bored...but I don't know what to do either." She complained, her tone as flat as a bored.
Lily nodded "It's the same with me too, want to go to the playground with me? Maybe we'll find something to do there." At least Lily hoped they would, it'd be a waste to go all the way to the playground for nothing. "Sure, why not?" Carrie replied. "Yaaay!"Mikey cheered as he ran gave a little leap. "I'm off to save the day!" he continued in his best superhero voice. With that the three were off, it didn't take long for them to reach the playground thankfully, they were already halfway there in the first place.
"Well at least we're not the only ones with the same idea." Carrie said looking around. She was right they weren't. around the play area there were a number of kids here and there while their parents sat near by in the shade. "Aaron!" Mikey shouted happily seeing a classmate of his. Quickly, he ran off toward the swings where his friend Aaron and another friend resided. "Off he goes." Lily said to Carrie. "So, what do you wanna do?" "Hot..bored..." Carrie muttered lifelessly. "Um....shade?"Carrie inquired. "Sure," Lily said "why, I'm surprised you couldn't think of anything to do. Maybe the heat has melted you brain." "Shut it!" Carrie quickly retorted as they walked over to a tall tree nearby, Lily simply giggled.
Sitting down, Lily looked over towards where Mikey an Aaron were playing. Not a care in the world, it seemed nothing would stop them from having fun. 'lucky!' Lily thought. "You know," Lily heard Carrie say. "I don't know what it is, but whenever we together everything feels so...calm, relaxing...in a good way." Carrie said turning to Lily. "I don't just mean Mikey, I've felt it a myself as well!" " Er, it's probably nothing. We've known each other that long is all." Lily explained. Just then the sound of crying filled the playground,"Lily! Carrie!" Mikey's voice cried out. Carrie and Lily jumped up to see what had happened. Both Mikey and Aaron where in tears, Aaron's mother doing her best to try and console her son. "My knee, My knee!" "I-I didn't m-mean too!!" Aaron cried out.
"Let me see." Carrie said as she and Lily walked towards the little group. Mikey handed was holding his right knee in his hands. "What exactly happened?" Lily asked looking down at the two boys. "W-we were playing with Captain Grazzer, a-and Aaron was running around, a-a-and he ran into m-me and I fell." Mikey said trying his best to speak through the tears. "Hmm, it's bleeding. Let's take him back to my house and get him fixed up." Carrie said. "Mikey? Aaron?" Lily said "Y-yes?" answered both boys feebly yet much calmer than there were. "You both know you need to be careful right?" Lily asked "Yes" they both answered. and you both know not to run around carelessly, right?" she continued. "Yes." they answered again slowly growing calmer. "So what do you say?" Lily said looking more at Aaron that Mikey.
"I'm sorry I made you fall, Mikey." Aaron said in a sad lower voice. "Now, we have to take Mikey home and make that nasty boo-boo go away, okay?" Lily said to Aaron. "So next time can you promise me that you'll be a lot more careful next time?" she asked. Aaron nodded, the tears in his eyes no longer falling. "Okay, I promise." He replied in a small voice a small smile now on his face. "Okay then time to go. Say be bye Mikey." Mikey gave a feebly wave as he clung to Carrie's hand immediately grabbing Lily's soon after. "Bye."Mikey said as they began to walk away. As the go further away Carrie started to say, "I'm going to call you the tear stopper from now on." Lily rolled her eyes, "You will do no such thing or I'll never speak to you again!" Carrie laughed "But it's true, your job should be a babysitter from now on!" "No!" Lily shouted with a scowl on her face. The argument continued on like this until they reached Carries house, much to Lily's annoyance. "Why me? Lily muttered under her breath as they made their way inside.
