Backstory/History:

Reducio

Amethyst was born on Christmas Eve, 2008. Sometimes it sucks, because her Birthday is overshadowed by Christmas, but usually she likes it. She gets two straight days of gifts and fun. She was born in Londond, England, and she loves it there. She loves the city and the excitement. She couldn't imagine living anywhere else (permanently). She had - and is having - a rich and fun childhood. She has a little sister, two great parents, and a cute cottage. She loves to play in the backyard, and in the forest behind her house.

Her mother, Annie Logan, has two sisters, named Mugs and Dotty. They come and visit quite often, and Amethyst loves hanging out with them. Dotty likes to craft, and sew things, and Mugs likes to garden and cook. Annie's father (Amethyst's grandfather) sadly died before Amethyst got a chance to meet him, but her grandmother is alive and well. She visits often, and she teaches Amethyst how to cook, and she shows Amethyst cool spells involving magic. Of course, she does not teach Amethyst magic, and she mostly shows her parlor tricks to amuse her. Amethyst's father, Marcus Logan, has a brother, and his two parents. Amethyst's uncle Tom is a bit eccentric, but he is very kind to Amethyst, and likes to visit them often, because he lives near. However, Marcus's parents live far away, as Marcus was born in Canada. Tom and Marcus had come to England to run their restaurant somewhere more populated, where they could generate more business. Despite them living far away, they come to visit the Logan's once a year, and the Logan's go to visit them in Canada once a year. They also call quite frequently.

Amethyst doesn't have too many friends, but the friends she does have are very close to her. Her oldest friend is named Carly Johnson. Carly is a witch, like Amethyst, and they met when they were only two. Amethyst's other friends are William Murphy, Amanda Callin, and Dominic Hardy. All of them - Amethyst, Carly, William, Amanda, and Dominic - hang out almost everyday, and they were all invited to Hogwarts. Amethyst's younger sister, named Candy, is four years old. She has Annie's red hair, though, but has Amethyst's blue eyes. Candy is very sweet and outgoing, and she likes to run around and hug people. Amethyst loves Candy, and she actually experienced her first magic because of her.

She had been hanging out with Candy a few days after her birth, when she'd decided she wanted to play peek-a-boo. But there was one problem: the blanket was across the room. She didn't fear, though! She just went to get it. But after she stood up, it just floated into her hands. She was so excited, and she ran to tell her parents about her first experience with magic. They all celebrated, and that sparked her interest in reading. She'd wanted to learn more about magic, so she got some books from the library. She read them, and she liked reading them. She got more and more books, and read them all.

Before she was accepted into Hogwarts, she was home-schooled by her father, and sometimes her mother. He taught her reading, writing, and math at first, but Amethyst was eager to learn, and so he purchased some books made for Muggles, and he taught from those. It was good for Amethyst, because it was something productive and healthy to do, and Marcus enjoyed it, because he could spend time with his daughter, who actually liked being taught.

Amethyst is very sweet. She prefers if there is no drama, and even if her friends turned out to be a celebrity, she wouldn't treat them any differently. She is generous. Not only will she willingly give things away, she likes to. It makes her happy. But, she is shy and often timid. She can have a hard time making friends, but if people get to know her, they would usually love her.

Wardrobe

She usually wears simple clothes, like hoodies, t-shirts, jeans, and sweatpants. Sometimes she wears things that are a bit more fancy, like an off-the-shoulders shirt, or a dress. Her favourite shirt is one that says: 'I wear this shirt periodically' with a periodic table underneath.
She has thick, round, black glasses. She can't see without them, so she is always very careful with them.
She doesn't own too many pairs of shoes, because she doesn't really need them. The shoes she most often wears outside of class are white sneakers with pale blue sides.

Emotions & Mannerism

『Stressed』When she is stressed or nervous, she tends to fidget a lot. She twitches her fingers, and she usually taps her foot on the ground. She hunches her back, and often she closes her eyes, to try to calm herself. Oftentimes, she cups her hands around the back of her neck.

『Angry』She tenses her jaw, and she blinks a bit slower than usual. She is very stiff, and she clenches her fists very tightly. She is very still when she's angry.

『Upset』She wrinkles her forehead and pushes her eyebrows together. She covers her mouth with her hands, and she looks away or down. She is kind of limp, as if she's not holding herself upright. She also fidgets with her glasses.

『Happy』She has a wide, beaming smile, and she stands taller than usual. She tends to throw her head back a bit, so you can see her throat clearly.

『Irritated』A small frown on her face, and she pushes her eyebrows down. She touches the front of her throat with her hand when she's annoyed or irritated.

『Sad』She bites her lip and squints her eyes. She look downwards and to the side, and she kind of hugs herself. She usually fidgets in some way, either tapping her fingers or her feet, lightly and quickly.

『Bored』She runs her hands through her hair, and she tilts her head. She taps against her hip with the heel of her hand.

Description

Amethyst is a very sweet person. She is kind to her friends, and her family, and even to people who she doesn't know. She enjoys spending time with her friends, although she also likes spending time on her own. She likes to read and draw. She is very generous, and she likes to give things away. She is a very lovable person, and she tries to keep her friends, and tries not to make enemies.
However, she's very shy and timid. She has trouble approaching people, although if she really wants to, she can. She prefers to stay out of the spotlight, and she likes helping other people get into the spotlight instead. She sometimes refrains from saying things she thinks will upset people, although with her friends she's more outgoing.
