[font=Century Gothic]her mama was a model, her father a businessman: she was born in the west of ireland. she was a primadonna from the beginning: spontaneous, outgoing, vicious. she hated the countryside where she lived, hated the mountains and the rivers and the lakes. she longed for the glamour of the big city: the lights, the noise, the activity. galway was never enough for her. she had grander ambitions.
she went to school in galway, a normal school, where her cousins lived. she'd fight with them, often but she always ended up laughing rather than in tears.
people said she was dumb, but she wasn't, really. she acted like she loved her friends when she really hated them. she wasn't fake, not really; still, she was far too much for connacht. she spoke her mind, even when it got her in trouble. she couldn't but be popular: her spontaneity, her energy, her charm, her beauty.
even if she'd sabotage her friends for a laugh, she was loved. even if she'd hold onto a grudge for three years and get her revenge on the fourth, she was constantly surrounded by people. even if she was a liar and a backstabber, she retained her own twisted sort of sincerity: a genuine love for pretty things and a desire for a girl-gang that would last--that was real.
her teachers loved her at the beginning; they hated her by the end. her friends loved her at the beginning: they hated her by the end. her sense of humour, her beauty, her natural likeability could only mask her true self for so long. here's hoping she breaks the cycle at last.
