Group A: Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff
Lydia kept her concentration up, her want pointed towards Alec to maintain the Wingardium Leviosa. If in the previous round they didn't manage to hit him, it seemed like this time luck was in their favour. Amadea's powerful spell hit Alec, and Lydia turned around ti give her a quick smile.
As she turned around, she managed to catch a glimpse of the blue light coming from Alec's spell, and she quickly moved out of the way, managing to avoid yet again another spell. Hopefully she would have been able to keep doing that, and if everything went according to the plan, Hufflepuff might end up with another victory for them.
Looking back at Alec, Lydia took a deep breath and then concentrated on the next move.Action: Doing as strategised.

𝓐madea readied herself and raised her wand, commanding "Flipendo!" She focused on the incantation and the movement of her wand, watching as her spell flew across the duelling field toward Alec. She felt a pang of guilt go through her as the spell easily hit; it was almost an unfair advantage. Being in the air made it much harder to dodge. Again, there were no spells coming her way but Amadea smiled at Lydia who quickly evaded the spell coming her way while managing to also sustain the Levitation Spell. "We got this!" she said to Lydia with a smile.Action: As strategized

The regrets were subtle yet there, being up in the air he had nowhere to go, and surely they were going to pack a punch. No doubts was he right when a knockback jinx came hitting him right in the gut. He'd missed with his spell again, and at this point wasn't too fond of trying to carry on with this. But up in the air he was unable to walk away and call it quits. Besides, Alec had decided AJ wouldn't be the happiest person if Alec had decided to just up and walk out.
Alec hadn't wished them luck last time, he supposed he should've. It was really messing with his morals, wasn't it? He wished them luck, but he also wished he could suddenly have a powerful spell to at least get one of them out. Hopefully next time would be better, or maybe Alec and AJ were just destined for a duelling losing streak.
At least if the hufflepuffs won, they would deserve to win. With good lucks all around, it seemed completely fair, even good-natured instead of the sheer number of insults from last time.
Good luck would sadly this time not be wished, it had become apparent Alec had other things to focus on, like actually getting a spell down this time around.Action: Doing as planned.

A WIN FOR HUFFLEPUFF
It could be felt in the air, this crackle of anticipation. Or, at least, Bridget could. Things were about to happen, maybe Hufflepuff would even finish this off right here. This was it, a desperate attempt by Alec to deal some damage, to stay in, and a synchronous move by the Hufflepuffs to end this.
Alec really didn't stand much of a chance. He had already taken quite a bit of damage and the corresponding exhaustion would perhaps set in. It didn't help that Lydia would unceremoniously drop him, ending the levitation in favor of a double attack on the lone Gryffindor. The brief fall wouldn't be particularly painful, more of something momentarily disorienting. Such factors along with possibly more--inward doubts, simply wanting to give up--had his spell, yet another attempt to Flipendo Lydia, merely fizzling out of his wand, failed. Unfortunately, it would be the last try he got this duel.
Lydia and Amadea elected for different spells, but the idea was the same: Alec didn't have much left in him, so they might as well finish him off quickly. Whether that was merciful, ruthless, or whatever descriptor one might be inclined to attach, it was undeniably effective. Lydia missed, and in fact, Alec managed to recover enough from being dropped and failing his spell to dodge the flames beautifully you were so close to going down in flames. Two spells, though, were just too much, and Amadea's was no ordinary spell. No, the Flipendo that emerged from the fourth year's wand was the most powerful Bridget had ever seen, almost blindingly bright. She didn't sacrifice aim, either, and unable to dance out of the way like he had Lydia's spell, Alec would be hit and hit hard. He would be unconscious before he hit the platform.
Poor Alec. And AJ too, for that matter. They would suffer their second loss of the season today. Still, there were aspects of their performance they should be proud of. And as for Hufflepuff, both Amadea and Lydia should be quite happy with how today had gone. Lydia had hit a rough patch for a while there, but she'd certainly recovered from it, and Amadea had landed several powerful spells that had helped secure their lead. They'd each dealt the finishing blow for one of their opponents, and those two spells had been impressive. "Hufflepuff wins," she announced, the statement quite obvious. Medics were already busy removing Alec from the platform. Stepping up onto the stage, she smiled at the pair of badgers, neither of whom had any injuries that needed immediate attention. "You both did great. Congratulations on the victory."
