Character Questionnaire

Because I adore discussing RP, I thought I'd piece together a survey so we could share some lesser-known OC facts! If you don't have an answer or would rather save it to be found out in-character, please feel free to erase the question and move to the next one. Have fun!

Character Questionnaire
Opeila Seilun

• Where were they raised?
Opeila was raised in Cambridge. Her mother, father and her live in her grandmother's big house, who then left the bigger part to the family and moved into the smaller part.

• Is their family wealthy? Poor? Comfortable?
The Seiluns are neither rich or poor. They have enough money to live a comfortable, privileged life.

• How do they feel about that?
Opeila would give away all that money if she could have a loving family instead. That is what she wishes for.

• Did they have a happy childhood?
Opeila is deeply unhappy. Her parents keep making her sad and feel unloveable, most of the time unknowingly. At school Opeila had been treated like a freak by the students and like a raw egg by the teachers after her first accidental magic, but also before people had stayed away from her. Opeila had once touched a girl's hand while playing on the playground and then asked her not to go home that afternoon but to come with her instead, because of a feeling. Later they were informed that the girl's house had caught fire. After that, children stayed far away from her.

• Before their Hogwarts letter, what was their most influential life event? Good or bad.
The most influential was the loss of Opeila's sister, which still influences her. Opeila had a halfsister, Maybell, who was three years older. When her seer grandmother sensed magical powers in Opeila, her father sent Maybell, who was a squib, to an orphanage, for her own protection. Opeila blamed herself, since she had understood what was going on. She believes that her whole existance is just bad.

• What is their favorite clothing style?
Opeila likes the colour green a lot and almost every day wears at least one green thing, and if it is only a green hairband.

• Do they have any favorite game(s)?
Opeila had loved hide and seek when she was younger, but since that game triggered her first accidental magic, she avoids playing it.

• What sort of music do they like?
Opeila plays the violin. She doesn't go for a certain style of music, if she likes a song, she listens to it until she doesn't like it anymore. What she absolutely loves though, is the sound of a violin.

• What's their favorite book genre?
Opeila used to like fantasy, escape into different worlds. But since the world she had entered now was a little disappointment as well, she rather reads history books.

• Which class is their favorite?
Opeila loves Charms as well as Defense against the Dark Arts, although she is not too good in the second one. But she has the power to do things magical, so she loves to learn what she can do.

• How would they prefer to travel?
Opeila would love to be able to apparate. It seems very useful to her.

• Is there a broom they want? If they already have their favorite, what makes it great?
Opeila is not familiar with Quidditch or broomriding yet.

• What do they look for in a friend?
Opeila wants to find someone who she can trust. Who would accept her with all her mistakes. She believes that she might have found such a person in Flash Holmwood.

• What would your character see in the Mirror of Erised?
A happy, loving family. Maybell. She would see all her family problems solved.

• What is their strongest trait?
Opeila is stubborn. And tenacious. If she has a plan, she won't let go until she reaches it.

• Who do they admire most?
She admires her grandmother, who always seems to know what to say. Who always seems like the calmness in person.

• Is there someone they wish they could meet?
Opeila wishes that she could trust a teacher with her fears. She wants help, advice. But she doesn't dare, she feels to unimportant about it.

• Are they typically underestimated (in strength, intelligence, maturity, etc)?
At home- yes. Her parents believe that she has no clue what is going on, while Opeila knows all of it.

• What do they like about themselves?
Opeila has not a lot to like about herself. If there is something, then it is her ability to distract herself from her misery with things that are more important to her.

• Do they have a motto, mantra, or favorite quote?
Favourite quote of Opeila, said by herself:
It's not the people with the best intentions who get you hurt. It's the cowards with the best intentions.

Character Questionnaire
Piérre Marchonné

Where were they raised?
Piérre was born in Florence Italy, and lived for about five years there until he burnt down his adoptive parents’ house with Romeo when their magic began to shine through. After more incidents at public schools which tied in to bullying and more magic outbursts, the Bianchis moved around a lot, settling in towns such as Florence, Venice, Naples, Rome, even so far as Sicily, for no longer than a few months and sometimes weeks at a time. It was not until they heard hearsay of a magical hotspot in London that they internationally moved to Britain and lived in an apartment.

This is why Piérre has an extremely strong accent and is fluent in Italian.

Is their family wealthy? Poor? Comfortable?
The Bianchis were a mid to high-class family, obviously wealthy enough to do some traveling or spend things on a whimsy, and definitely enough to make the boys comfortable whenever the parents were off on a trip or a night together. Piérre has a Wii, DS, 3DS, among other Nintendo products, as he loves the franchise, and gave himself the middle name of Luigi, based off of the love of the character itself.

How do they feel about that?
Piérre never questioned anything in his childhood, but was rather curious as to why he and his family moved around so much. He knew it was something to do with the magic he was spurting out, but he thought that all people were capable of such art. Nonetheless, he farted the predicaments with a smile and enjoyed every location the family went to, always hoping that perhaps the location would be their forever home.

Did they have a happy childhood?
Piérre had a very happy childhood, whether through his own personality or through his parents’ influence. However, it was rather difficult for the boy to know that his real biological parents abandoned him and his brother, and it is a thing that he thinks about often.

Muggle school was difficult, however, and because of Piérre’s many quirks, he was a target for attention, good and bad, and mostly bad. Bullying was not uncommon, and because of his desire not to fight, Piérre often ended up with his head in a toilet or pushed up against a wall, hanging by his backpack straps. (He wears a satchel so that it’s easier for the bully to lift him under his arms. He can just slip the other strap under his arm.) However, between travel, sightseeing, gaming, and learning to laugh, Piérre made everything work, and he has had quite a bit of spice in life, whether it be getting caught in a tree or learning the native dance of a culture.

Before their Hogwarts letter, what was their most influential life event? Good or bad.
The most life-changing event in his life was the motorcycle and car crash that killed the Bianchis. While Piérre and Romeo did not witness it firsthand, Piérre had a feeling that there was something wrong, and he constantly refers to his gut now to make decisions or get some bearings on his situation.

After the death of the Bianchis, Piérre and Romeo were moved to an adoptive home for exactly seven days, in which Piérre went into shock and Romeo was left to take care of him. You can ask Piérre himself, and he’ll say that he doesn’t remember the home, but he will start to get twitchy. After seven days, the boys were adopted by Mathilda Wendigo, their current adoptive parent and a former Auror of the Ministry, now working in the Control of Magical Creatures department. It was she who brought the boys with her and began teaching them everything about the Wizarding world, from ages seven to eleven. The rest is history.

What is their favorite clothing style?
Piérre is a huge fan of the peculiar. He is very much an individual who “dresses up”, even if there is no need to dress up. As well as switching robes during school, Piérre has outfits for every event, whether it be formal or not. It is almost as if he is playing the role of a ringleader, conducting a circus around him as a character who is bright and easy to see, funny and eager to do anything to entertain. So, to shorten, definitely something near circusy, definitely eccentric.

Do they have any favorite game(s)?
Anything Nintendo. Piérre loves the Nintendo franchise; Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Legends of Zelda, a touch of Earthbound, and definitely RPG games in video gaming. That’s not to say that Piérre is unable to enjoy real world, in fact, his favorite game is storytelling Mafia, Capture the Flag, Smear the Queer, among other classics.

What sort of music do they like?
It would be a lie to say that Piérre is not a Musicals boy. He loves the classic musicals of Phantom of the Opera, Carmen, and Mary Poppins. He has watched a lot of classical movies in his time, and has dipped his toe into the more recent ones as well, mainly “The Greatest Showman”. No matter where you find him, Piérre has a song running through his head, whether it be a classic, one he just made up, or even just Rick-Rolling. He is a very memey boy as well once you get to know him.

What's their favorite book genre?
Diehard fantasy and magic. Also a fan of slight horror, such as Edgar Allen Poe, and a touch of sci-fi for good measure, but Piérre loves his Eragon and Holly Clause, not to mention the Ranger’s Apprentice and Spirit Animals, Warriors, and the original tales of Harry Potter.

Which class is their favorite?
Piérre loves Astronomy. He’s looked at the Stars ever since he was three years old with his Bianchi parents, and even after their deaths, he has continued to stargaze. He also likes the sky because he knows that somewhere, someplace, whether alive or dead, his biological parents are out there, and he means to find them. He also likes Transfiguration, but for different reasons.

How would they prefer to travel? (Hippogriff, broom, car, etc.)
Oh, definitely dragon. Hippogriff, Thestral if he ever sees one (believe me he will), Phoenix, even if that’s not possible, or any other magical creature. Piérre loves animals and he will do anything to hang out with them. He is extremely gentle around them and his positivity is like a light that connects him with any creature, domesticated or wild, that he runs across.

Is there a broom they want? If they already have their favorite, what makes it great?
Piérre takes anything that can fly. Give him a rickety 100 year old broom, and he loves it. Give him a sleek Firebolt or Nimbus 2000, and oh my gosh he’s in the clouds already. Give him a jinxed bicycle and he’s stuck on the ceiling (this actually happened...). Piérre loves to fly and he loves to be free with nothing but clear, fresh air and puffy clouds wherever he looks. He’s also fond of stunt tricks, even if those stunts get him just more often than not.

What do they look for in a friend?
Piérre is not picky about friends. Indeed, when one person thinks of him as an enemy or even the person they’re bullying, Piérre sees them as friends. He finds every person interesting and important, and while he has little to no actual experience with people since he moved around so much and Mathilda was generally reclusive, Piérre is almost like a gentleman when interacting with his peers, albeit a bit of a silly one. His personality and manners can be likened to Dick Van Dyke.

What would your character see in the Mirror of Erised?
I actually have this written out, hang on *Clears Throat*

“Piérre as an accomplished Auror standing with a lovely wife, Romeo, and three children, along with his biological parents, grey and happy, who lovingly place their hands on his shoulders.”

Yeah, that’s never gonna happen. Perhaps at this young stage, no wife or children, but definitely Romeo, his parents, and being an accomplished, if eccentric, Auror or even Professor.

What is their strongest trait? (Feel free to list two or three)
His strongest trait is being able to laugh and find a silver lining in everything he does. This comes as a drawback as well because it seems as if he has no room for maturity, but you would be surprised.

Another strong trait is his ability to bounce back. Whereas others get discouraged or give up or get flustered or angry, Piérre plows through it, knowing that he is destined for greatness if he just finished jumping this hurdle or mountain. Yes, he will jump the mountain for greatness.

The third thing is his ambition. Yes, a Slytherin trait if ever met, Piérre is ambitious with a passion, knowing that he wants to get to where he’s going and willing to undertake any challenge to get there. He always helps people if they are in kahoots with his goal, but if they are harming him, he will never hurt them back. He has respect for everything and everyone he meets. Though he doesn’t show it outright, Piérre keeps ambition veiled incredibly well, so all you see is a bumbling and sometimes stupid first year. Is is a total surprise that he did not end up is Slytherin, but Piérre is willing to figure out why he was placed in Gryffindor to begin with.

Who do they admire most?
Piérre admires a lot of people, whether it be Harry Potter himself, Dick Van Dyke, or, in some degree his favorite YouTuber, Markiplier. There are traits in each individual which actually contribute to the whole of Piérre, whether it be the stalwartness and courage of Potter, the comedy and genius comedic mind of Dick Van Dyke, and the passion/comedy/surprisingly wholeheartedness of Markiplier (minus the cursing, of course, Piérre hates cursing).

Is there someone they wish they could meet?
Piérre wishes he could meet his biological parents, though Markiplier is not far behind. He wants to talk to his parents and figure out why they left him at such a young age. Why did they feel the need to leave him and Romeo, and ask them if he wasn’t good enough.

Are they typically underestimated (in strength, intelligence, maturity, etc)?
Oh, definitely maturity and insight. Piérre is the most mature and insightful person you will ever meet. While he seems at first to be bumbling and acting as a fool, this is part of the art of it. You feel safe around confiding in a fool because you think the fool to be a fool. This leads to knowledge from near and far being confided in the fool. Because of this, Piérre knows things that you wouldn’t think him to know, and this sometimes comes out in long bursts of monologue or confession. He is flamboyant in speech, and even when he tells people of things, he usually keeps a nugget to himself so that the person will come back to talk to him again, thinking him a fool. Piérre is likened to the Fool in Shakespeare’s King Lear, knowing a lot, and sharing wisdom through ridiculousness. Behind the facade of a boy is an intelligent and soulful individual, knowing so much and yet being afraid to share it with others.

That smile hides so much truth, and the laugh is only a substitute for a sob at times. Piérre has acute and chronic depression, not quite bipolar because he is still looking for happiness in the dark, but be cautious when he starts to get nervous or anxious. He is sad not for himself, but for others.

What do they like about themselves?
Piérre likes nothing about himself. This is not to be misconstrued with self-loathing, but between depression and the intricacies of people around him, Piérre doesn’t think that anything he has is something that another person doesn’t have. He is humble in that regards, but if he were forced to choose something about him that he liked, he would say it would be his ears. It seems like not too many people have elvin ears in the school.

Do they have a motto, mantra, or favorite quote?
“Potayto, Potato, Tomayto, Tomato. You say Tomayto, I say Ham Sandwitch.”
~ Piérre Marchonné
“You’re never really at a loss until you let the person walk away without adding a little sunshine in their life. Once the person walks away, then you’ve really lost. That’s what talking someone’s ears off really comes down to.”

Nothing. She doesn't trust herself and really doesn't love herself. She just likes the fact that she's not naive

Character Questionnaire
Where were they raised?

In Ellon, Scotland, but she would say all over the place because her parents traveled often when she was younger.

Is their family wealthy? Poor? Comfortable?
Gienna doesn't ask about her parent's financial state, but she supposes that they're wealthy because she's been able to attend prestige classes and get anything she really wanted or needed, though she doesn't ask for much.

How do they feel about that?
Gienna wasn't taught to really value money so she doesn't care too much about money, as long as she can afford everything she wants. But she sees it as a tool to get higher in life so she'll strive to get as much of it as she can.

Did they have a happy childhood?
Yes. Gienna never claimed much and stuck to having fun and enjoying herself, although she got into some trouble along the way. Her parents were busy with work most of the time but they made it up by taking her to amazing places and entertaining her well.

Before their Hogwarts letter, what was their most influential life event? Good or bad.

When she was ten years old her father told her that he was a shape-shifter—a metamorphamagus. Since she had never seen him change really—except for the color of his hair—Gienna was completely surprised, but it gave her hope that perhaps she had special talents as well. Except they never showed. Still, it influenced her to believe that she was so different than others, and probably better. She went from being mostly altruistic to somewhat arrogant.

What is their favorite clothing style?
Gienna likes wearing expensive clothing with fine threads and perfectly ironed corners. She prefers collared shirts, richly colored sweaters, and shoes only found in the best of stores. Her clothes are always notably without creases.

Do they have any favorite game(s)?
Gienna loves these muggle games called UNO and Monopoly.

What sort of music do they like?
She really only listens to soft rock and indie pop.

What's their favorite book genre?
Anything to do with hexes, curses, and jinxes. But to be simple: horror.

Which class is their favorite?
It's between Charms and Transfiguration.

How would they prefer to travel? (Hippogriff, broom, car, etc.)
Apparation or broom, whichever she learns first.

Is there a broom they want? If they already have their favorite, what makes it great?
Not at the moment.

What do they look for in a friend?
Gienna looks for someone who she can both laugh with and also think with. She doesn't like whiny people who can't handle a prank or people who get scared too easily, unless they're the victim of her jokes. She doesn't ask much but for true loyalty, which she's often willing to give out.

What would your character see in the Mirror of Erised?
A window with a masculine silhouette smoking solemnly from a pipe.

What is their strongest trait? (Feel free to list two or three)
Resilience.

Who do they admire most?
Gienna admires her late grandfather.

Is there someone they wish they could meet?
Rowena Ravenclaw.

Are they typically underestimated (in strength, intelligence, maturity, etc)?
Gienna is often underestimated about her intelligence. She doesn't push herself too hard in her studies nor does she try to act especially clever or witty. But she's actually wiser and more cunning that most would think, yet she acts too silly and juvenile for most to acknowledge this fact.

What do they like about themselves?
Gienna likes her humorous mind.

Do they have a motto, mantra, or favorite quote?
Leave destruction to the animals.

Character Questionnaire
Where were they raised?
An ancestral manor in Plymouth, England. It's bordered by sea on one side and forest on the other, with the city itself just across the English Channel. The property has a sprawling garden, modest stable, old wooden dock, and a swamp some ways into the woodline.
Is their family wealthy? Poor? Comfortable?
Peri's ancestors are both old money families. The Dralts earned their title in the sixteenth century, originating with a humble merchant captain who lent his fleet to England in a time of war. They maintain the tradition to this day, transporting goods through the wizarding world, albeit with more brooms than boats. The Saltgraves are far older and more obscure. Although also a seafaring House, they were collectors and researchers who hunted for rare, historically significant treasures. They are rumored to experiment with spellweaving, but this is dubious, as they have never publicly published any findings....
How do they feel about that?
Pericles doesn't often contemplate his family's wealth, but he is enthralled by their history. His only regret is not knowing many of them. His grandparents passed away before he was born, all save his grandmother on his mom's side, but she firmly refuses to introduce Peri to the Saltgraves. The Dralts, while placing high value on family bonds, are few and scattered with most surviving members living in India or Finland. At times he's intimidated by their legacy and his obligation to uphold it.
Did they have a happy childhood?
It was happy, but had its ups and downs. Peri's upbringing was well-enriched by his parents, a loving caring couple, as well as his older sister Abigale. Abigale was nearly an adult by the time Peri was born, leaving home upon graduation to have her own explorations. He sees her on very rare (and very brief) occasions. The most interaction he had with other children was during Pureblood parties, in which the other Old Names mixed and mingled at the manor, but as one could expect those were nearly never chances to really be a kid.
Before their Hogwarts letter, what was their most influential life event? Good or bad.
Peri's father being turned into a vampire changed everything for the family. They've gone to great effort to reclaim some normalcy, but nothing has truly been the same since.
What is their favorite clothing style?
Clothing is a habit hard broken. Peri is used to dressing relatively well at all times, mimicking his father's morning grooming rituals (minus shaving), and he often feels out of place wearing anything besides his school uniform while at Hogwarts. Someday he's going to discover sweat pants and never look back.
Do they have any favorite game(s)?
Straightforward: wizard's chess and Quidditch.
What sort of music do they like?
Peri loves listening to piano and cello, especially when they're together.
What's their favorite book genre?
Mystery. Murder mystery. Most anything involving adventure.
Which class is their favorite?
It's a hard call between Charms and Potions.
How would they prefer to travel? (Hippogriff, broom, car, etc.)
If hippogriffs weren't illegal as personal transportation, he would want to ride them everywhere. Apparating will be much more practical when the time comes.
Is there a broom they want? If they already have their favorite, what makes it great?
He's saving for a Moontrimmer, but he really wants a Silver Arrow.
What do they look for in a friend?
Mutual respect and patience. Pericles isn't awfully picky: he doesn't need someone to act accommodating, smart, or sweet. He just tries to greet each new face politely and hopes to be treated with common courtesy in return, but his lack of experience means he sometimes says things that make him come off as blunt or a braggart.
What would your character see in the Mirror of Erised?
Reducio
He's done it. The mirror doesn't imply if it was by potion or spell, but the means doesn't matter. He's done the impossible and invented a cure for vampirism, returning his father's magic to him, restoring Isaac to the powerful warlock he once was. As an addendum, Peri has successfully published a book on his findings.
What is their strongest trait? (Feel free to list two or three)
Tenacity. He doesn't give up on anything (or anyone) easily.
Who do they admire most?
His parents for their strength, kindness, durability, and creativity.
Is there someone they wish they could meet?
His mother's side of the family. He has a lot of questions she isn't keen on answering.
Are they typically underestimated (in strength, intelligence, maturity, etc)?
Absolutely. He's a mere eleven-year-old boy, and his white hair + stark pallor make him seem sickly to some. He looks fragile or like he scares easily. Peri also nearly never engages in class, so if it wasn't for the effort he puts into his homework, his professors would probably think he's spacing out through lectures.
What do they like about themselves?
He's been getting good grades and had little difficulty with casting spells since arriving. Peri doesn't often think about himself outside of his academic performance.
Do they have a motto, mantra, or favorite quote?
"Curiosity is indicative of a malleable mind and is irrefutably beneficial in moderation." - Isaac Dralt

Character Questionnaire
Where were they raised?
Arisaig, Scotland. The quaint fishing village is in the Northwest of Scotland and the last port across to the Isle of Skye. She spent her early years in Anstruther, Fife, however, where she was born.

Extremely self-concious and uncomfortable, but she is used to working within her means.
Did they have a happy childhood?

Before their Hogwarts letter, what was their most influential life event? Good or bad.

Sporty and tomboy-ish.

Broom, especially on her Silver Arrow. Thestrals also interest her as she can see them now, following Shauna's death.
Is there a broom they want? If they already have their favorite, what makes it great?
Her Silver Arrow is awesome because of its speed and power. She never dreamed she'd be able to own a broom of this caliber.
What do they look for in a friend?
Humor, intelligence, and trust. She has a great deal of empathy following the events of her first year, but she needs to see people to whom she can relate.
What would your character see in the Mirror of Erised?
I'm still looking for that one. Would likely have something to do with acceptance.
What is their strongest trait? (Feel free to list two or three)
Her curiosity, strength, and enthusiasm, are all prominent. However, considering the trauma of her first year, I think her resilience is likely strongest.
Who do they admire most?
Probably the fisherman at home who do so sustainably and others, magical and muggle, who protect the environment. Catriona McCormack of the Pride of Portree may have an honorable mention.
Is there someone they wish they could meet?
Catriona McCormack. (She's still a kid so sports are important.)
Are they typically underestimated (in strength, intelligence, maturity, etc)?
Yes, as a poor person and a female person, she is more than likely underestimated.
What do they like about themselves?
She knows she is bright, which is a key personal value. She also really strives to live within her authenticity, which is likely to become something she'll appreciate more with age. She is proud to be a member of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. Additionally, she does really enjoy her crazy curly hair.
Do they have a motto, mantra, or favorite quote?
She doesn't believe in mottos. As for quotations, it would likely be a Stevenson such as, "Life is not a matter of holding good cards, but of playing a poor hand well." Alternatively, the headliner for her ency, which describes her well is Joseph Campbell: "Find a place inside where is joy, and and the joy will burn out the pain."

Character Questionnaire
Breana Oliveire
• Where were they raised?
Right up in Cockermouth, England, where her Dad grew up.

• Is their family wealthy? Poor? Comfortable?
Breana's family is on the lower middle class side of things. Breana's father had to take a large cut of the bookshop's profits to pool in a decent smartphone for her.

• How do they feel about that?
Having lived in more decent lifestyles, her mother is still getting used to having limits on what to buy for necessities. Her father is used to such lifestyles, so he's always there to help his wife whenever possible. Breana is the same as her father, though she does have the occasional neighborhood kids that would try to get a rise outta her. Still, it's just water off a duck's back. She can't be bothered by it.

• Did they have a happy childhood?
Aside from the financial troubles, Breana's childhood was rather normal, almost uneventful at times.

• Before their Hogwarts letter, what was their most influential life event? Good or bad.
Her most influential life was when she had to get pulled from Muggle school because the financial burden became too much for her family. Granted, she was only there for one year, it started a ripple effect of the kids in town unintentionally isolating her. It's been so long ago that she forgot why they never played or talked to her in the first place.

• What is their favorite clothing style?
In her casual clothes, she usually picks out floral muted patterns, and her shoes of choice are climbing boots since they get a good grip on feet.

• Do they have any favorite game(s)?
With her family, her father usually has this game that they play called "Little Book Keep." He would ask her "Please, please, Book Keep, have you seen this book?" in the song stylings of "Baa Baa Black Sheep" And he would ask her where this specific book would be located in the book shop. She hasn't lost a single game of it thus far.

• What sort of music do they like?
As of right now, she doesn't have a preference when it comes to music, since she's not too much of a music aficionado. She doesn't see herself listening to metal or heavy rock anytime soon, though.

• What's their favorite book genre?
Before getting into Hogwarts, she has a soft spot with reading up on historiy-centered books, such as Anne Frank's Diary or the Help. After getting into Hogwarts, she's now interested in fantasy books, wondering how muggles view the magical world in their eyes.

• Which class is their favorite?
As much as she wants to work hard on Potions, she's come to liking and using the stuff she's learned in Charms class.

• How would they prefer to travel? (Hippogriff, broom, car, etc.)
As of writing this, she still has a preference of walking, since that's how she usually goes around. If she can master it, she'd be happy to use a broom more.

• Is there a broom they want? If they already have their favorite, what makes it great?
If Breana would have the choice, she would get the Varápidos broomstick. Mostly due to the fact that its name is derived from Portuguese.

• What do they look for in a friend?
She looks for someone who'd they exchange books to, or at the very least would understand that silence doesn't always mean it would be awkward silence. Their friend should also be someone that she can rely to when things get rough. It should also be someone that can handle being a Potions test subject but let's not talk about that.

• What would your character see in the Mirror of Erised?
As of writing this, the Potions professor congratulating her as the best in his class, with her mother clapping behind her and telling her she's proud of Breana.

• What is their strongest trait? (Feel free to list two or three)
As of right now, it's being able to binge read her favorite book series whilst getting decent grades in class. Multitasking is an unconscious skill for her when it comes to juggling things whilst reading her favorite books.
Her curiosity is her second strongest, but it's also her downfall, as she has the tendency to not realize the outcome if she tries to satiate her curiosity like if Potions can be turned into Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans Breana please stop you'RE GOING TOO FAR--

• Who do they admire most?
She looks up to her mother the most, since she's been to Hogwarts and even had a notable academic presence there. Ever since the magical discovery, she has been her source of knowledge, which became a double-edged sword, since there's some pressure in her to be good if not better as her mother.

• Is there someone they wish they could meet?
Maya Angelou. She loved reading her poetry when her father suggested her books to Breana.

• Are they typically underestimated (in strength, intelligence, maturity, etc)?
Judging from her interactions here, people would just see her as a kid, someone that hasn't fully experienced anything yet. It is true to an extent, but she can be mature when she needs to be. She just prefers to see the funnier side of things for now.

• What do they like about themselves?
She's proud that she's a speedreader, and also that she can memorize almost every location of every book in their family bookshop. Physically speaking, her proudest feature of herself is her blue eyes, that have a small blotch of brown on them. She's received multiple compliments because of them. However, it'd be a lie if she told you she never thought about changing her looks at least once. The usual thought that'd come up for her is changing her skin. She wants it to be lighter just so people won't judge her differently, but she wants her skin to be darker so that she'd look more like her father.

• Do they have a motto, mantra, or favorite quote?
"Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise."
- Maya Angelou, Still I'll Rise

Character Questionnaire
Where were they raised?
The earliest years of her childhood were spent in Chivaniac, France. However, the parts that she remembers were spent bouncing back between Long Island and New Orleans. If anyone were to ask, Alexx would probably say America, but her first 4 years were spent in France.
Is their family wealthy? Poor? Comfortable?
Technically they are wealthy, but because her family likes to remain on the down-low after being on the wrong side of the Second Wizarding War, they tend to live below their means.
How do they feel about that?
Alexx is okay with it mostly. She doesn't agree with who her family was back then, but she knows why they are living below their means. However, it's nice to know that there's money waiting for you when you get older.
Did they have a happy childhood?
It wasn't particularly sad, but it wasn't the best one, either. Her parents distanced themselves from their children, so Alexx was raised by her brothers, Texas and Mikael, and spent a lot of her later childhood years helping raise her sister, Emmaline. It was annoying to her, and she knew that it was unfair on all of them, but it was something that she came to terms with early on.
Before their Hogwarts letter, what was their most influential life event? Good or bad.
The day that Texas droppedd out. He had never been an exceptional student, but he could have easily become a professional Quidditch player. He was a chaser for team Slytherin, and the whole family knew it was only a matter of time before the scouts started looking his way. But the day that he announced that he wouldn't be returning to school was the day that Alexx knew that things were about to change.
What is their favorite clothing style?
Alexx has always been pretty relaxed. She mostly wore skirts and hoodies up until her second year. These days, her aunts, who both work in the fashion industry, have introduced her to the muggle fashion, particularly the "e-girl" clothing style, and other common trends. Alexx doesn't care much, as long as it's comfortable, but she's slowly growing her own taste.
Do they have any favorite game(s)?
No, on account of the fact that Alexx never played games growing up, so she wouldn't know any. Unless Quidditch counts as a game, then yes. Otherwise, I (OOC) feel like she'd be good at poker.
What sort of music do they like?
Mostly classical stuff. She doesn't listen to a lot of music, and doesn't have time to keep up with muggle artists. However, she has always carried New Orleans style jazz with her, so jazz is something that she really enjoys.
What's their favorite book genre?
History! Even though Alexx is failing History of Magic miserably, she enjoys muggle history (this is attributed to spending her early years on Long Island, which is rich with history), and she loves studying muggle culture.
Which class is their favorite?
She honestly likes all of them. However, given that she's not insanely good at spell-casting or potion making, and History of Magic bores her, and she can't grow a plant to save her life, it really narrows it down to Flying, Muggle Studies, Divination, and Runes. She likes those the best.
How would they prefer to travel? (Hippogriff, broom, car, etc.)
She's most Familiar with a broom, and Hippogriff's are only slightly scary, so Alexx would pick a broom as her preferred method.
Is there a broom they want? If they already have their favorite, what makes it great?
Probably one of the newer models that has been used in recent years, but none in particular. Alexx really likes her Moontrimmer, though, which was a gift from Texas when he heard that she made the Quidditch team.
What do they look for in a friend?
Anyone who can put up with her. Alexx can tend to be an obnoxious control freak, but also faces insecurities. Anyone who can deal with that and still enjoy being around her, and also accept her family and their history, is someone who she would want to keep around.
What would your character see in the Mirror of Erised?
A loving family. Whether it's a version of her younger self being loved by a family or her older self with a happy and successful one is to be determined.
What is their strongest trait? (Feel free to list two or three)
Like a true Slytherin, her ambition always rings true. Alexx does not give up, she does not quit, and she always makes sure that she ends up on top one way or another. She can just keep going, for as long as it takes, driven mostly by spite, because her greatest desire is to be the best. When she has her mind set on something, she'll find a way to get it.
Who do they admire most?
It's always been Texas. She, of course, didn't have many role models growing up, so she found one in him. He was the cool older brother, the one who did things like let her eat snacks before dinner or stay up later than Mikael usually would have allowed. While most thought he was irresponsible and naive, she realizes now that he's done a lot and sacrificed a lot in the best interest of his family.
Is there someone they wish they could meet?
Anyone on the Holyhead Harpies. They're her favorite team, and she'd love to be able to meet any of them in person.
Are they typically underestimated (in strength, intelligence, maturity, etc)?
Probably to an extent. Alexx stands at 4'11" and weighs just over 90 pounds, so she doesn't seem like an initial threat. There's also been cases of her not being taken seriously in her position as Chief Editor, and previouslyy as a Prefect. It does seem like a joke that someone like Alexx (who isn't very nice) would receive any position of authority, but she's been challenged more than once.
What do they like about themselves?
This is something Alexx struggles with. She doesn't like a whole lot about herself. If anything, she likes the fact that she's got a tough shell, and won't let things tear her down easily.
Do they have a motto, mantra, or favorite quote?
"Sometimes you've got to kill the person you were born to be in order to become the person you want to be."

chill babe. we're all bad in someone's story.
