Tripping

Jay walked into the ballroom, it was empty so that was perfect. They wanted to try ballet, they played guitar (rarely now..) and could draw and paint. Now they wanted to try something new, which was ballet. Every time Sir Victoria took them to a ballet show- both muggle and magical. Jay always thought the way dancers moved and flowed with the music was fascinating! Jay pushed the cover off the phonograph and started to play the music.
They warmed up by practicing the five basic positions, “One... Two... Three, four... five...” they kept saying under their breath. Oh boy these shoes weren’t exactly good ones for ballet. They were old, rugged, and had a few small holes. I need to buy a new pair... Jay thought. They were too shy stubborn have another student who knew ballet to teach them, I can do this myself. They kept telling themselves the whole time.
Ten minutes later Jay started to do sautes and pirouettes, and this is where everything fell down. Litteraly. Jay tripped every time they attempted to do a sauté.
“Bloody hell!” Jay said in frustration as they got up from the floor, they then fixed their laces. One more attempt at this stupid jump... They leaped.
There was the sound of footsteps.
Jay got distracted as they turned their head to see who it was.
SPLAT!

Tripping
River was sitting with her herbology homework, finishing up the last little bit for the day. It was nice, being finished with all the work she had to do, but she could feel her shoulders and neck, being tense from all the stress. She wondered if she should take a nap, but figured it wasn’t the right time for that. River packed her supplies away into her bag, and left the library, heading on her way to the commom room.
It’s been a long time since I had some practice... River thought to herself as she saw her dance bag laying there on the floor. Dancing always helps me relax. It had been some way for River to get away from all the stress and anxiety of reality, dancing was usually the remedy for a headache.
I guess I’ll head to the ballroom, as the rehearsal room is busy today, she decided, and threw her bag over her shoulder, and headed to the ballroom.
In not long, she had met the all too well known doors, leading into the great ballroom. Where River had spent many hours, working on her dancing, whether it was ballet, modern, or even hip hop at times.
She put her hand on the door, and opened it swiftly. As the door opened, she heard something hit the floor. She looked in, and saw another student there. It seemed like they were practicing leaps. Perhaps I should practice tomorrow instead?, River wondered, as she’d never been to fond of rehearsing in front of others. She still, walked on, further into the room. Had they noticed her entering?
Suddenly, Splat! the student hit the floor in a great fall.
River’s muscels tensed as the sound of their body hit the hard floor beneath. «Oh my, are you alright?», she asked carefully, hoping to not make them feel emarassed.
