Logan squeaked as someone started to talk from behind her. "Haha, very funny Charm. I did not bring any costumes with me so I decided this was going to have to do. Aunt Hannah on the other hand insisted that Sherlock look his best anywhere he goes and I received his little hat a couple of days ago." Just the thought of the box of clothes she had for the cat surprised her. Sooner than later she was going to have to bring a trunk just for Sherlock's clothes.

Logan took Sherlock into her arms and pat the open set of blankets beside hers as an offer for the two of them to sit down. "Did he find you so you would bring him back to me, or did he find you because he knew you were going to give him food after I told him he wasn't allowed any more of my cupcake?" The Hufflepuff questioned as the wiped a crumb off of the cat's almost clear whiskers. Said cat only turned his head away in protest as he started to lick his paws clean.

Deciding she needed to at least seem a little less rude, the young Hufflepuff looked up at Henry's girlfriend. "Hello, I'm Logan," she introduced herself with a smile as she looked back at the movie playing. "As this movie isn't Disney, I can't tell you much about it. If they play a Disney movie at any time I can tell you about it though." Not having a television in their home limited how much the Baird children actually watch, but her brothers had befriended a few muggle children down the road from their home and often the three Baird children would go to their home to watch movies.

"Maybe they were transfigured from something smaller?" Miranda suggested, studying the branches that laced together over their heads. "Or are they illusions?" She eyed the nearest trunk with a curious gleam to her gaze, suddenly tempted to go over and touch it. However, she abstained and instead moved on to other things.

"All the same I think," she replied when Henry asked about the seats, but if he answered, she didn't hear it. Instead, the whole of her focus was centered on one point - the cat that had just ran up to them. Well, had run up to Henry. But that was close enough. And it wasn't even a bad looking cat - in fact, if Miranda had cared about such things, she would have thought it looked quite pretty. Yet it still changed nothing. It. Was. A. Cat. She hated cats.

Miranda dimly heard Henry talk to it, calling it Sherlock (the name rung a bell somewhere - maybe from one of her books). He then turned to her, and she struggled to fix her face into something more agreeable and hide her disgust, although perhaps he would catch sight of her semi-pained expression before she more or less hid it. "Oh, okay. Then I guess I won't touch him." She smiled half-heartedly, still eyeing Sherlock carefully. It looked like she was going to have to put up with the creature for a while longer, especially seeing as Henry began using a cupcake (who knew cats ate cupcakes? Certainly not her) to lure him into following as they searched for seats.

Their final destination was a girl with long brown hair and a friendly expression, who looked up when Henry spoke to her. It was obvious the two of them knew each other from elsewhere. And the cat. While Henry and the girl - Robin? - spoke, Miranda continued to keep a careful eye on Sherlock, just in case he got too close for comfort.

However, her attention was diverted when the girl suddenly spoke to her. And...oh, her name was Logan.

"I'm Miranda," the Ravenclaw replied with a more natural smile. "It's nice to meet you." She took a seat on Henry's other side. "And uh, movies? I know pretty much nothing about them. They're a pretty foggy subject..." Miranda trailed off, then shrugged, her cheerful demeanor returning slowly.

Robyn was standing by the projector, not wanting to sit quite yet as she would be for awhile using the hand crank projector to help the students experience the glory of Nosferatu. Students wandered in to the ballroom, some looking more spooked than others as they walked through the doors. The costumes ranged from brilliant to mediocre to nonexistent. She wasn't really judging. All she had thrown on was an orange and black suit. Probably the most minimal effort outfit compared to how she normally dressed. Students that needed de-hexing were quickly dealt with as she sent them towards the snack table or to the movie area afterwards. There weren't a ton that needed help, and she was fine with that.

She did spot Pericles as he walked in, but didn't really pay any mind to him. The student that had called out her rose and almost exposed her intentions behind the flower. A studious one that she planned on keeping her eye on within the library. Not necessarily because she thought he would get up to trouble. But because she wanted to witness how brilliant he would become. It surprised her though, when he headed straight towards her. Her hands were folded in front of her, nodding in greeting when he approached. "Mr. Dralt. I-" Her greeting was cut short in astonishment as he pulled down his mask to reveal the hex of her own. A quill gone rogue.

It took everything in her not to burst out laughing, expecting that no one would try and take two quills. Her lips pressed together, in what might look to him like utter disappointment, but it was actually the only thing keeping her from absolutely losing it as if someone cast the tickling charm at her. She stayed silent, slowly nodding her head as Pericles begged for forgiveness for his mistake. It was as if he had just committed a murder, rather than succumbing to a trick of trick or treat. After a moment, she raised her wand and pointed it at his forehead. "Scourgify." The ink quickly disappeared off of his forehead. Her left hand came to rest upon his shoulder, gentle and comforting. "You were already forgiven before you walked in here. It was just a silly trick, it held no real meaning. I apologize if it seemed like I would actually be mad. I suppose greedy is a pretty strong word."

Her left hand removed itself to pull one of the quills from earlier today out of an inside pocket. "I snagged one earlier myself. But, since you enjoy them so much." She couldn't help but lightly giggle. "Have this one. Come by the library tomorrow and you can get whatever leftover quills there are if you want to get all four colors as well. Thank you for taking ownership, but truly it was just a trick. I hope you're not haunted by this moment for more than tonight." A small smile as she started to turn towards the projector. "I have to get this set up, but go ahead and enjoy yourself tonight. You've earned it." A cheeky wink was sent towards him before she fully turned her attention to the projector in front of her.

The night was in fully swing as students had slowly begun to make it to the final stop of the Trick-or-Treat Spooktacular night. It had seemed to be a success with students picking their final treat bags, stopping over by the snack table, taking in the decorations in awe. There had obviously been a lot of work done, and the students were absolutely eating it up. It was exciting to watch the plans finally be executed, come to life, and then be enjoyed by all who participated. A couple of the participants even entered with hexes. It was a relaxing night, one of laughs and sugar rushes. The fun would start to wind down with a movie to help cooldown the evening.

Robyn was in the middle of the room near the projector, she twirled her wand up to her next and recited the incantation to help amplify her voice. "I'll be starting the movie in just a few moments. Please make your way over to the... movie area if you wish to watch." With a quick counter-spell, the amplification was over. The students would make their way over to the area with all the pillows, blankets, and cushions. Or they could watch from the tables behind Robyn as she did the hand crank projection. There were a couple of speed tests in the beginning of the movie, but quickly she found the proper speed of cranking it.

Kateri took no time in leaving her duties at the door, pulling up a chair beside Robyn. "Do you need anything to drink or eat?" A hushed whisper, barely louder than the movie. Robyn looked over at her with a small smile, "No, I'm good for now. I'll let you know if I need anything." For now, they sat back to enjoy the movie together tending to any additional students that walked through the doors a bit late.

"Good going, Dralt."
The insult to injury was the fact that Pericles' friend was observing his blunder. He'd glanced about with a start, and on spotting the source of the call, two fluttering blinks denoted his shock. There was no smile nor eyeroll, only an abrupt averting of his stare. He was doing his very best to hold the librarian's gaze without grimacing. What was easily interpreted as a mouth pursed in disapproval had his stomach in knots, chin fighting to remain aloft despite the odd urge to duck. There was a flicker of uncertainty when her wand rose, though the moment a familiar incantation was uttered, that freckled face scrunched in anticipation. No soapy mouth: just his forehead scrubbed free from the accursed ink.

The bony shoulder Robyn touched was tense, eyes round as discs as the librarian of all people apologized. No real meaning? Was he not greedy, but in fact overreacting to the trick? Pericles looked to the quill she produced with a gawk. It was, as if by magic, the very same shade of mulberry red which had enticed him upstairs. The lad was reluctant to take it, and had he been speaking with a peer, it was plain Peri would have refused the thing outright. Instead his mouth moved soundlessly, a half-formed apology uttered without sound. Being greedy shouldn't see him rewarded with the very thing he tried to take, should it? Let alone an invitation to enjoy the night, and take more in the morning! But the prefect's wibble-wobbling morality over squish quills soon subsided. Robyn had dismissed the slight with firmness, finality, in a matter so eloquent that the young wizard could only utter a calm quiet "Thank you Miss Finley. I will."

That kind wink was answered with a twitchy smile before the boy slid away. He had a clear objective, and approached the metamorph with all the weariness of one who has just survived an inexplicably harrowing experience. As soon as Peri was in mumbling reach, retaliating rib met a wounded endearment: "You needn't mock me. I was trying to get an extra quill for you, you numpty." With a dramatic gesture, he held out the mulberry quill, its spongified feathers flopping tragically towards Xailah. "And you oughtn't call me Dralt, either. Everyone calls my father that and it makes me feel dreadfully old."

Professor Finley's announcement jerked Andrew's attention, spurring his excitement again. Yes! Movie time! His sugar rush was bound to knock him out in an hour or so. Best he find something soft to lie down in, when that happened.

"Oh! Movie's about to start. I'll -uh- take my rat back, now." After hastily wiping his hands on his pants to rid them of any excess crumbs, Andrew would gingerly butt into [Barret's] petting session and scoop Penelope into his arms, reclaiming his pet. "Nice meeting you." He'd excuse himself with a polite smile at [Barret], before joining Dan and heading over the movie area, where Andrew would plop himself in a bean bag cushion, snuggling with Penelope in a fleece blanket he covered his lap with. The rat had had her fill of treats for one night, though her head would frequently turn in Loki's direction, nose twitching at the wafting aroma of the salmon chews. Andrew was mindful to keep one hand secured to Penelope's pelt, fingers at the ready to restrain her, in case she darted unexpectedly.

"Haven't seen this one before," Andrew whispered to Dan, eyes flicking at the screen in anticipation for the film to start. "Nosferatu… Heard the name in a SpongeBob episode once - you know, the guy flicking the lights? - Oh! 'Hash-Slinging Slasher', that was the episode! Heh, should've dressed up as him, instead." He chuckled, imagining himself with a fake hunchback and spatula for a hand. How many kids at Hogwarts knew about SpongeBob? "There was the part at the end when the light switch was flicking on and off, and it was a black-and-white guy -like from those oldie films- doing it, and they all called him 'Nosferatu'," he recapped quickly, before focusing his thoughts on the movie that was about to play. "I wonder what it's about?"

After a long night of collecting candy, Paisley was ready to sit down and relax, along with getting her socks scared off in the process. She had rubbed her forehead so hard that surely the "Greedy" message was worn off. I wonder what movie we're going to watch. Hocus Pocus, maybe? It's strange how I don't get to see that with my parents this year. It's practically a tradition. she continued on through the halls, taking care not to touch the candles, although when she did she was glad to see they too had been cast with a spell so as not to burn the students. I do wonder what's going on here...all this talk of hags...fires...one would think it wasn't safe! Indeed it wasn't, but our young Gryffindor friend didn't know this. All she knew was that she was ready to sit down, because her boots were highly uncomfortable.

Walking in through the large ballroom doors, the movie that was being spoken about was not what she had expected, even though it was Halloween, and she very well should've. It was something terror-filled, that was for sure. Nosferatu. she shuddered, although she had no idea what it was about, or what the monster looked like, for that matter.

She heard annoucements of the movie starting, and she hurried into a seat, muttering to herself as she went. "A horror movie...oh gosh...I guess I should've known...I'm going to scream in front of the whole school" she silently prepared herself, her muscles already clenching. She'd never seen a horror film of any sort, and she didn't think she needed to. She was easily frightened as it was, and watching a movie of monsters and ghouls jumping out at her wouldn't help her dillema. I suppose I'm living the life of one anyways. What does it matter to me? It's not like its really real. It's just a stupid fantasy made by muggles who think they know what they're talking about. Unless it's a true story...

With this mindest she sat herself down on a large pile of pillows and took a piece of candy out of her pocket, crunching down on it. She hadn't limited herself with how many sweets she consumed, and she was feeling rather jittery. She peered around, realizing she was sitting in almost the exact spot she had confessed her curse. Wow, that seems like so long ago... she was lost in drifting thoughts of the ball, perhaps they were good, perhaps not. She looked around at the kids who were making quite a noise and shushed them.

Katrina had finally arrived in the Ballroom. She was dressed up as a dragon with realistic purple wings, and a matching dress and pendant. Her hair was even curled for the night, something that she rarely put any effort into. She had Boomerang at her side and a heavy bag of sweets and was inwardly hoping there would be more in the Ballroom, because it was Halloween, it’s all about the Treats. She had thankfully suffered no Tricks so she wandered through the decked out hallway in no rush.

Katrina had a respect for the Professors who had managed so set up this whole event with no one seeing. It was a feat not to be ignored. The walls were draped with cobwebs and spiders and flickering candles framed the pathway to the main room. The dim mutterings of a movie already started is was urged Katrina a bit faster.

The main room was just as decorated. Katrina took a moment to soak it all in before beelining to the candy table. Before she got there, however, she was faced with the option of a treat bag, Katrina chose the bat one and finished to stretch to the candy table. The Third-Year took a little more than was necessary and placed it in her bag before finding a spot in the pillows.

She constructed a little pillow fort like this but without the stockings, and curled up inside to watch the movie. Periodically, Katrina would munch on some candies, or shuffle around to make more room for Boomerang, but overall it was a comfortable and exciting night.

From teal quills and chocolate kisses to bubbling cauldrons to gummy candies and Jupiter Cake Pops it was a wonderful spook-tacular night. It had been a long while since Katrina had been able to completely relax and truly enjoy herself. She always spent so much time worrying about something going wrong or someone getting hurt that she never really got to just relax and be a kid. This was just what she needed. A simple repose from the chaos of life.

As Katrina settled in, she really started to enjoy the meaning of relax as the sugar high took it’s toll. She slowly drifted to sleep in her pillow fort, only to wake up at the end of the movie…. Whoops. But it didn’t look like anyone saw, so Katrina pretended it didn’t happen and saved the rest of her candy to enjoy later.

Henry was glad the two were getting along but he forgot that they didn't know each other but luckily they made a quick introduction. Henry smiled as he now noticed that he was sitting between the two girls that even though he didn't show it, he was a bit awkward as he listened to both Logan's and Miranda's experiences with movies. Henry probably had the weirdest since his family didn't own a TV and his father didn't allow them to go to the muggle movies, Henry and his siblings lived in the dark for much of their life until a few summer holidays ago Arthur took him and his twin to a local movie theater to watch black panther, Henry thought it was a superhero boy but it was still confusing to him.

Henry smiled as he remembered the thought before speaking " Disney? Uh aren't they a enterprise or something? I just remember when I was younger a muggle friend used to talk about Disneyland or something," Henry remembered when he wrote to Natasha about it and for some reason he really wasn't paying attention on where the girl was. Yes they were pen pals as kids but they had different view points on everything so it was kind of annoying now that he thought of it to keep his thoughts in his head.

Henry then spoke again " I'm foggy in the area to Miranda but I uh do know a bit from when I was younger a summer holiday Arthur took us to the uh movie theater I think to see uh black panther I think. It was interesting I guess," Henry smiled a bit as he looked down awkwardly before looking back at up and saying " so how was your Halloween been Logan so far?"

Well, that certainly wasn't the reaction she had been looking for. If a pitiful glance could even be considered an reaction. Xailah would watch her bird from across the room, with a quizzical stare. "What's his problem?" She would ask, to no one in particular. Both companion and mistress would exchange suspicious glances. Not that Schrödinger had any idea- or understood a thing of what was being said. In fact he wasn't even aware that Bright-Haired-Boy, had, or was having what his lady called a 'problem'. What he was aware of though, was the fact that Bright-Haired-Boy was not visiting and giving belly rubs. Maybe that was what concerned his mistress? Was that the problem? No belly rubs? Schrödinger thought it was. Made perfect sense to him.

Xailah would continue observing from a distance. She carefully noted the unusual mannerisms, and the body language the Ravenclaw was displaying. There was something about him that made him look as if he wanted to hide. Mayhaps it was the quickly adverted gaze from earlier. She wasn't certain. The gaze... Was the boy trying to avoid something? The Gryffindor looked around, for something that would have triggered such a response; but she would find nothing of interest. Maybe he was simply feeling ill? Eh. It was possible- but so was just about everything else she had thought of- which wasn't much. Having used up all her educated guesses for the night, she would turn her attention from the boy, with a dissatisfied buzz. This would not do. No sir.

The thought of the ink, being the culprit of his avoidance, had not crossed her mind. All the tricks were in good humor. Were they not? Slivers of yellow, would dart back to where the boy and the Librarian stood. Xailah would bring a free hand up, to rest on her hip; as she watched the boy depart from the amber-haired woman, and make his way towards the Gryffindor. He would not give her his usual greeting. He would instead claim that she had mocked him. Mocked him? Mocked him?! If anything she had been laughing with him, not at- okay so maybe she laughed at him, but further upsetting him was not her intention. It never had been. Never would be. The flaccid quill presented before her would be met with a look of mild surprise. Oh now thats just sad. She watched the way it flopped, and trembled miserably, in the bird's hand. She peered at the eaglet. It was awfully sweet of him to try and get one for her. A tender smile played on her lips, as she gingerly plucked the little gift from Pericles pale fingers. With the mulberry feather in hand, she leaned over and- aggressively (but oh so gently) bopped him on the nose with the quill. "Don't-" Bap. "Call-" Bap. "Me-" Bap. "Numpty." Bap. She was obviously playing, but to make sure he knew she meant no real harm; the feather would be brushed under his chin, to tickle him. "But I do sssuppose I deserved that." The Gryffindor would admit.

Pericles declaration that she shouldn't call him by his surname, caused a single brow to curve into a sharp arch. "Pericles." She deadpanned. "I have been addressing you as Dralt for the past six months. Why are you telling me this now?" Had that silly little trick, upset him that much? Or had he always felt that way, and was simply too polite to say anything about it? "That joke really bothered you didn't it?" Her mouth crooked to one side in a displeased manner. "Well, if you're the greedy one, then I must be part dragon." She frowned, before reaching a clawed hand into her satchel. She would produce three suckers, all of which had been taken from the Astronomy area. She would try to hand him one of the two Earths she had taken. "If its any compensation for your troubles, I think it was very thoughtful of you, to get a quill for me. You really didn't have to do that." Her frown would pull itself up a little- not into a smile, but something close to one. His gesture was a small one; but she appreciated it nonetheless. "Will you be ssstaying to see the moving picture? I think Schrödinger would like for you to keep him company, and help build a fort for him." She claimed, nodding to the boy. Xailah had seen a couple other students building small structures out of the pillows and blankets that were laying about; and had wanted to do the same. "He would build one himself, but I'm afraid he does not have the thumbs to do so."
