Place: Outside the bathrooms
Time: A few days after classes start Sorry I'm not used to doing dates...
Callista was looking for the bathrooms. She had just finished History of Magic, and was climbing stairs and trying not to get lost. She remembered passing the bathrooms on the fourth floor, so that's where she headed. Mentally, Callista went over her homework.

History of Magic, Transfiguration... Charms, too...

Callista had her school bag with her, which she carried everywhere, filled with various things she might need... Her textbooks, a pack of carry on tissues, a small bottle of hand sanitizer, a lot of books for personal reading, quills and a tightly screwed bottle of ink, and some extra pieces of paper. Her wand was tucked in an inside pocket of her robes. Callista checked the bag and took out her book, the second book of her favorite series, Artemis Fowl, titled Artemis Fowl and the Arctic Incident, by Eoin Colfer. She started reading it as she walked.

She finally got onto the fourth floor and located the bathrooms, still reading. She had glanced up once or twice on the way there and spotted the general direction she needed to go. Then, abruptly, she bumped into someone else who also happened to be heading for the bathrooms.

"I'm so sorry!" Callista said, embarrassed, putting her book back in the bag. She waited hopefully for a reaction that didn't involve yelling or irratibility.

Liz's long blonde hair was braided down her back at the moment. She had the braid tucked in front of her shoulder and was standing in the middle of the hallway, trying to shove a book into a bag that already looked like it was about to split at the seams. She somehow managed it and continued on her way. She had to pee so bad.

She had only gone once this morning and it was already well into the afternoon. Sun was shining into the windows and it reflected off of her blonde hair onto the hallways around her. She however wasn't paying attention to this. She quickly rushed up a flight of stairs, hoping it didn't suddenly change on her. Luckily she made it to the 4th floor with out a problem.

Rushing even quicker down the hallways she felt the urge get stronger. It would be so embarrassing to pee herself on the first week of school. Especially since she is an 11 year old and was turn 12 later that year. She was almost there when she was bumped into by another person. A girl probably also on her way to the bathroom.

Sure enough Liz looked behind her and a brown haired girl stood there, looking mortified. "I'm so sorry!" the girl said. Liz wanted so badly to get angry at the girl, but at the moment she didn't have it in her. "It's fine. Are you also on your way to the bathroom?" Liz asked, doing a little dance without realizing it. She really had to go.

Thankfully, the girl didn’t seem offended and simply said, “It's fine. Are you also on your way to the bathroom?”

She seemed to really need to use the restroom, practically bouncing on her feet, so Callista quickly replied, “Yes, but, um, you can go first.” Callista noticed that the girl had blonde hair, which was braided and over her shoulder. Today Callista’s hair was in low pigtails, down her back instead of up on the sides of her hair.

The girl was unfamiliar to Callista, but she noticed that she wore robes adorned with Slytherin colors. Absently, Callista fingered her own robes, adorned with Hufflepuff colors. She still hadn’t quite gotten used to being a Hufflepuff. She had expected to be in Ravenclaw, but the Hufflepuffs were very nice and welcoming. It was starting to become like home to her.

She had read about the four houses before coming to Hogwarts, and it seemed like to a lot of people, Slytherins were considered to be cruel and arrogant, much like theIr symbolic snake. But Callista didn’t really think that all Slytherins were like that. Sure, she had seen a few annoying Slytherins, but there were plenty that just seemed like normal people. She knew that your house didn’t define you, it’s merely where the Sorting Hat believes you belong. Callista hoped that this wasn’t a stereotypical Slytherin, but at least she didn’t seem altogether mean. Or maybe that was just because she really needed to use the restroom.

The girl replied to her with “Yes, but, um, you can go first.” Liz smiled softly at the girl. ”Oh thank you! But it’s a multi stall bathroom! So we can both go! I like your hair by the way. I could never pull off pigtail! I’m Elizabeth by the way! Elizabeth Isaacs!” Liz made her way into the bathroom, politely holding the door open for the other girl.

She noticed the girl was wearing Hufflepuff adorned robes. She looked very kind and had big brown eyes that looked like chocolate. Liz thought she was quiet pretty and thought maybe they could be friends. She wanted a friend who would do girly things with her, like nails and hair and makeup. And no one she had met so far had met this description.

She had just come from a study session in the library. She wanted to be the best in her grade. No matter what. She also wanted to get more points for her house. Letting the girl in she let the door shut behind them and then made her way to one of the stalls. She sat down and did her business, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Oh thank you! But it’s a multi stall bathroom! So we can both go!" the girl replied.

Oh right... Callista thought sheepishly. In her embarrassment, she had forgotten that there was more than one stall in the bathroom.

The girl continued, "I like your hair by the way. I could never pull off pigtail! I’m Elizabeth by the way! Elizabeth Isaacs!" Callista blinked, surprised. She seemed to be excited for some reason - Callista wasn't quite sure why someone would be excited at seeing her, but she suspected that the girl - Elizabeth, she said - was just in a hurry.

"Er, thank you, I like your hair too," Callista said softly. "My name is Callista, Callista Lovis," she added. Elizabeth was heading into the bathroom, and Callista hurriedly went inside as well, murmuring a small "thank you" for holding the door. They each went into a stall, and Callista did her business, thinking about this new girl the whole while. She wondered what Elizabeth was like - it was hard to tell, seeing as she could have acted differently because she was in a hurry. Callista flushed and walked out to wash her hands.

"What grade are you in, Elizabeth?" Callista asked curiously. She didn't seem to be much older than her, but she wasn't sure, and she couldn't really think of anything else to say either way. Then her mind wandered to the possible nicknames for Elizabeth. Liz. Eliza. Beth. Iza? Liza... Did Elizabeth go by a nickname?
