Mental Description: Introverted, sympathetic, clever, diagnosed with depressive disorder, avid reader and writer, identifies strongly as a "poet", independent, a bit of a people pleaser, fidgets with hands.

Biography: Grew up in an upper-middle class family of London with a mother who worked as a school-teacher and a father who worked in the bank. Attended a private primary school a year early, and preformed well. Has one younger sister that's currently 8 years old named Emmy. Has extended family (aunts and uncles) living in the United States, and goes to visit them on holidays. Closest with 2 childhood friends she met in the 2nd grade, Daphne and Suraya. They've been friends for years, and planned to travel around the world together the year before they all attended university. Lives in a small townhouse close to the city center, but moved around a lot as a child as her parents tried to find work.

First Instance of Magic: When Ilye was 8 years old on a class field trip to Buckingham Palace, she stood outside staring up at the Victoria Memorial. There was chattering around her, it was late spring, the sun was beating down, and as she looked at the golden statue, her vision seemed to be pulsing, and a headache flared. Later she would realize, those were simply symptoms of dehydration, but in the moment, everything seemed too loud and too bright, so bright, that she couldn't think straight. Suddenly, she felt cold water sloshing around her flats, and when she looked down, the water in the fountain was spilling over the edges onto the concrete. Everyone around her scrambled out of the way, but the cold water around her feet made her feel less overwhelmed, and the steady rhythm of the water against the side of her leg ceased her raging headache.
