Full Name:
Elara Arwen Hawthorne
Physical Description:
Elara has short, black, straight, hair that's layered with bangs. A slight lean/lithe body, pale skin and feminine features (button nose, doe eyes, etc...). She carries herself in an almost ghostly, relaxed posture.
Her eyes are a grayish-blue, hard to tell if it's grey or blue really when it's actually just very soft and light blue. She's one hundred and thirty-nine centimeters or four ft and seven inches in freedom units. When you take a look at her face it's almost always blank and calm. It's a mask she doesn't mind wearing when in reality she's constantly observing her surroundings from the corner of her eye. Despite her relaxed posture, she has a sharp focus on everything surrounding her and is quick witted when she has to be.
Mental Description:
Elara is sensitive to insults about her being compared to her older sister. Other than that, the girl/witch is mentally stable.
Biography:
Elara Hawthorne was born into a half-blood family. Her mother was a Muggle, while her father was a half-blood wizard. When he finally told her the truth about magic, she struggled to accept that he'd kept it hidden for so long. It wasn't an easy conversation, or even a single one, but over time she chose to stay. From then on, magic remained a family secret.
As the youngest of three, Elara was always watching her older siblings. Theodore Mal Hawthorne was rarely still for long and eventually left for Ireland to study dragons. By then, Elara was too young to know him well, so most of her memories came from the stories everyone else told. Clara was different. She was the sibling Elara followed from room to room, asking endless questions whenever Hogwarts came up.
Their father never seemed to run out of stories. Some were about magical creatures, others about old wizarding families or places hidden from the Muggle world. Elara listened more than she spoke, usually with a book nearby or a pocket full of feathers and smooth stones she'd picked up outside. She wasn't waiting for adventure to find her. She was waiting for her Hogwarts letter, convinced it would explain the world she'd spent years hearing about.
OOC: I'm deeply sorry if there are mistakes in my character. Clara is not a play nor an alt account for I have just created her as a side character of my characters story. I have copy and pasted my writing from my notepad since I wrote this already. Quick heads up, Clara is born in 2008 and Theo is born in 2000. Theo is also a made-up character NOT a real account.
First Instance of Magic:
When Elara was seven, Clara had came back from her first year at Hogwarts as it was summer break. Elara had been 'happy' for her older sister as she learned a new spell and she was showing it to their parents as they praised her. Elara felt a rise of an ugly heat in her chest, jealousy, not that she'd admit it. In a moment of pure white the glass of water in her hand shattered as the water froze and too split into parts of ice. The room went dead silent and all eyes were on her.
Personality:
When you get to know her, she's cunning, ambitious and often takes the role of the leader in a group. The opposite of both her siblings and parents when they were young, the black sheep of the family.
While she is the master of the mask from a young age, she often likes to let the mask slip around new people to see their reactions. If it's something that is interesting or marked as okay fro her to not put the mask on at all times she would let the mask slip a little but if the first impression is rather none of the above she might keep to herself at all times around the person.

Personality:
Elara might seem cold and scare you away with her sarcasm and petty insults, but don't give up easily! If you gain her trust you won't be needing to borrow books from the library for information that much anymore, she's your personal library. They say I'm quiet. They say I'm weird. Then they say I'm rude. I couldn't care less.

Hey you! Yes, you. Wanna take a quick peek at her diary? Yes, she has a diary for her scrambled thoughts, but that's the least of our worries. Scroll down a little then you'll be greeted by a 'dear diary'—sort of.

Here we go again.
Miss know-it-all Clara had once again stole the spotlight for me.
I'm not mad, I know I should be grateful that my family got me presents for my birthday and cake but I can't help but yearn for a little more appreciation for my grades and all. Guess I won't have any praises for getting 98 and not full mark. My fault.
They don't neglect my presence, it's just that they treat Clara like she's their only child that should get praised for every little thing she does after Theo went to Ireland to study dragons or something.

Though those other girls may be pretty, but the girl from the slick streets of Manchester has my heart under those layers of ice.
