PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Long, straight, brown almost raven-black hair that shines. Often, she’ll style it in curls or waves. Round hazel eyes that look amber against light (also known as "Callista amber" since her father and grandfather has the same eyes). She has fair skin with a golden glow, pink lips, and high cheekbones for a child that make her look intimidating - like a scarier Snow White. Her height is 4'8.
PERSONALITY: She's highly intelligent and crafty and is always trying to get ahead to prove herself. Coming from a successful pureblood family, she feels the need to create a name for herself with her own skill and power. She is independent, often trying to figure things out on her own. Althea is an overachiever and is competitive and won't stand for second best at the things she wants to excel in. She is also incredibly stubborn and doesn't know when to ask for help or to give up. Despite this, she loves deeply - especially her parents and those who care for her. Deep down, she wants to do well at everything because it will make her parents proud and happy and she wants them to be at ease knowing that their daughter is a successful and powerful witch. She is also firm about what she believes in but has always been an observant child, knowing when to say the right things. BIOGRAPHY: Althea is the daughter of Magnus Callista and Alyssa Valerian-Callista. Her mother, Alyssa, comes from a pureblood family that had migrated from England to America generations ago. Althea is half-English (both grandfathers), a quarter French (paternal grandmother), and a quarter Filipina-American (maternal grandmother). Her father was particularly strict. Growing up, she rarely ever left the estate.
As a child, Althea grew up homeschooled by her parents. Her father was a powerful wizard who worked in the office of the Minister of Magic and her mother was a skilled Auror.
Althea also grew up very loved. She was doted on by both of her parents and both sets of her grandparents. She could have anything she wanted, as the only child of her parents and the only grandchild of both families.
FIRST INSTANCE OF MAGIC: At the age of 2, Althea was in the living room of their estate in Buckinghamshire, England, reading a book with her paternal grandmother, who had been trying to teach her French. Her parents and paternal grandfather were in a heated conversation in the same room that was distracting her from the reading. Frustrated with her grandfather and father - who were loudly arguing about whether she would study magic in France or England (though she had no idea what they were fighting about at the time, she just didn’t like the noise) - she simply yelled, “Stop!” and unintentionally used wandless magic to blow up a glass case of her grandfather's treasured wine that was positioned directly behind the two men.
