first year: traumatised; voices in her head in place of aunt, aunt takes family's side, lauren hates aunt
second year: bri disappears, lauren gets in a state of depression, believes that she does not deserve anything, her friends abandon her, she hates herself, but tries to be friendly
third year: aunt dies, lauren realises that despite everything, her aunt was still one of the most imp ppl in her life, realises that she is wrong, and tries to please everyone
fourth year: comes to a conclusion that her family had to do with aunt's death; voices in her head turn from doubtful to confident but makes her a darker person.
fifth year: family gets a new child, child follows in laurens footsteps, lauren feels happy and becomes a normal person for once; just a student whos stressed about owls
sixth year: child hates her, lauren escapes her family and lives with one of her friends; she helps her deal with her life issues
seventh year: voices in her mind leave entirely; she does not recognise the vanes family as her own and gets the surname of her friend's family instead, then aces newts
