Shay is quite tall for her age, around 4 foot 7, she has thick dark hair that falls till her shoulders. Her skin is a bit tan, and she is skinny. She has chocolate brown eyes, crooked teeth, and wears cat-eyed purple coloured spectacles.

Shay has always been super smart, always top of her class. She loves studying and loves it even more now that she gets to study magic. She's kind, loves her friends and family fiercely, but can be a bit shy and reserved at first. She loves music and has a beautiful singing voice.

Shay and her family moved to London from India when she was 5. She has a younger sister who is currently 5. Her family loves to travel so she has been almost all over the world. She loves her little sister a lot. At home they have a cat named momo. Shay's life was very monotonous, but peaceful.

The first time Shay experienced magic was when she was 8 years old- she was really upset because she got low marks in a test, and one of her friends brushed her off by saying she did better than half the class anyway, and Shay got so irritated that she lashed out and broke a window in her classroom just by snapping at her friend, in her aggravation. She was very confused by the incident and felt really bad.
