Physical Description: Aurelio Diaz is quite recognizable, mainly for his distinctive mass of messy, brown curls and deeply set brown eyes. He is hispanic, since he was born of a Spanish mother and father.
He has a lean, athletic build.
Mental Description: Aurelio is a quiet boy. When he thinks of something, he almost always keeps it to himself. He enjoys travel logging in his journal, taking photos with an old fashioned camera (a gift from his aunt, Javier's mother), and recording his mother's recipes. Despite Aurelio's calm nature, he is very playful; however, he reserves this side of him for his closest friends. When he likes someone, he observes them and makes note of as many details as he can remember. He is often lost in thought and because of this can end up coming off as dismissive. When angry, Aurelio seems to freeze and loose track of what he wishes to say. This makes it difficult for him to explain the hurt he feels. Aurelio is not completely fluent in English. He is fluent in Spanish since he was raised in Costa de Sol, Spain. Aurelio is interested in joining a sport at Hogwarts, although at the moment he does not have a preference.

Biography: Aurelio's immediate family consists of a British step-father, Spanish mother and two little sisters, Isla and Valeria. Aurelio's birth father left the family when Aurelio was just a toddler, making his memories with him few and uneventful. Aurelio's step-father is a complete mystery to Aurelio. He is often busy and shows neutrality toward the boy. Aurelio's step-father goes on trips constantly to Hispanic countries to make business deals. His mother, on the contrary is very close with Aurelio. He is very comfortable with her and loves spending one-on-one time, usually by helping her make tapas and coffee in the morning. His sisters, Isla and Valeria, are 8 and 4, respectively. Both girls adore him and Valeria follows him everywhere. Aurelio takes his role as the eldest in the family very seriously. He enjoys helping his mother with household tasks and watching after his sisters. He also has a male cousin, Javier, who lives in their native home, Spain (or España.) Javier has a strong dislike of travel and distrusts England. In contrast, although reserved about his thoughts on the subject, Aurelio is looking forward to exploring Hogwarts and the English language.

Important Info: For the past two years, his mother has been in a very off-on relationship with his now step-father. Due to this, he has traveled to England a few times; thus, allowing his English to be existent but not phenomenal. He is extremely self-conscious of his accent. His mother and step-father have just been recently married, causing Aurelio and his family to move to England.

First Instance of Magic: When Aurelio was nine, he took a visit with his mother and little sisters to England. Aurelio had been running after his little sisters, watching them race up and down a tall hill. The weather had been excruciatingly damp yet warm. The boy did not realize how tired he was until he had a bad charlie-horse in his leg. They were a good distance from the country house and there were no cars in sight. In frustration, Aurelio kicked a plank of wood on the ground. Shockingly, Aurelio watched as the wood seemed to move under him and lift him in the air. The plank ended up carrying Aurelio down the path till a vehicle was in sight for him and his sisters.
