Nationality:
English

Preston, England

First year, Hufflepuff

30,2 cm cherry wood and thestral tail hair
Physical Description:

Idelia has tanned, olive skin. She is quite slim, but short for her age, being 132 cm tall, and athletic in a way that a kid who spends a lot of her time outside could only be.
She has got long, wavy, dark hair that makes you notice her grey eyes stand out from her face. Her skin is spotted by a few moles, with the one under her left eye being the most noticeable at the first glance. You also can't miss her slightly hooked, tilted to the left nose, which is one of her more prominent features.

Mental Description:

Idelia is best known for her head being stuck in the clouds most of the time. She tends to space out, has difficulty focusing on one thing for a long time and has a terrible memory.

When you get to know her more, however, you will start noticing things she is praised for. She has a kind demeanour, while also being surprisingly patient for her age.
However, despite being brought up to be a just person, which she tries to embody as much as she can, she just can't bring herself to step up for anybody on her own. Instead, she turns to people that are more equipped to deal with the situation.

She has that affinity with animals, where you think she enjoys being with them more than she does with actual humans (a half-truth if she could say so herself).

Biography:

Idelia was born and raised in a city of Preston in United Kingdom. Her family lived in a small house near the city centre, and they couldn't be more normal. That is, for a person outside of their little family. Aurelia and Lucas Beau, alongside with their daughter, knew that actually both of the women in the household shared a special gift - a gift of magic.

While Aurelia was on summer holiday with her friends from Hogwarts that were more muggle-inclined than her, Aurelia met Lucas. She quickly fell in love, and after finishing school and explaining to him what exactly she is, they got married and in the end, also had Idelia.

Lucas was a man who knew hard work. He followed his father's footsteps and became a carpenter, helping in a family business.
Aurelia, who didn't have many skills helpful for a muggle work, turned to Ministry of Magic, where she had an insignificant, but rather comfortable position. Between the two of them, there were nowhere near rich, but lived rather comfortable lives.

For Idelia, life was also good. She didn't have many friends at school - two faces with whom she exchanged some words, but nothing that would come outside of the classroom.
That did not mean, however, that she grew up friendless. Their neighbourhood was rather popular with young couples seeking for a place to settle. And from one of those couples came a pair of brothers that were considered one of the most important people in Idelia's life.
Jacob, aged 10, and Aaron, aged 13, were basically attached at the hip, despite the age difference between them. The only description that Idelia would be able to give them? Chaos monsters whose only life mission is to drag Idelia into their daily adventures. It isn't to be said that she dislikes it - it's the opposite. Given her introverted, calm nature, she needs someone to balance her out, drawing her out of her shell.

One of those adventures were the reason for her crooked nose - nothing that she holds against them. As per usual, the brothers have thought of a game to entertain them for the day. This time, it was a game of tag!
If you asked Idelia about what happened, she wouldn't be able to tell you much - after tripping on Jacob's leg and smashing her face against pavement, the only other things she can remember are Jacob's hysterical crying, Aaron ushering her towards her house and blood on her hands.
Unfortunately, it was the day of the week when her dad's parents were looking after her, which is why, instead of fixing the injury with a quick spell - which would be suspicious either way, for a wound like that to disappear in one day - she was sent to a hospital, where they confirmed that her nose was broken.

First Instance of Magic:

After seven years of not showing any signs of magic, Idelia's parents thought that she was a squib. That changed, however, the day that she brought a cat home and they were forced to explain the concept of magic to her.

It was a normal Tuesday. After long and boring day at school, Idelia was coming back home.

She didn't mean to stray into the park, she would later promise to her mother while explaining what happened, but she heard frantic meowing coming from that direction. She, being an animal lover that she is, couldn't just indifferently walk past a cat that could need help.

When she finally found the source of the noise, her heart stopped for a moment. There was a huge dog, chasing a small kitten, barely old enough to stray from its mom.

She had a choice to make.

And for the first time in her life, she stepped in instead of waiting for a person that's better equiped to deal with the situation.

Her heroic act, however, didn't deter the dog's aggression. Even though she put herself directly between the cat and the dog, it evidently didn't care about who it wanted to hurt. Instead, it just bared it's teeth and lunged at Idelia.

She couldn't do anything but close her eyes and pray for the dog to just go away.

That's when the barking stopped. And when she opened her eyes, the dog was actually gone! At least, that's what she thought, until she heard panicked whimpering coming from the ground. When she investigated, she realised that the dog didn't disappear, it had just shrank! It was way smaller than the kitten that was hiding under the bench nearby, probably the size of a gecko.

Panicked, she quickly picked it up, as well as the cat, and ran straight home, where her mom sat her down and explained what magic is and reversed the shrinking spell on the dog, letting it outside.

That's how Gerald the Cat joined the Beau family.
