Physical Description: Cora is 4'11" tall, which makes it difficult to spot her in a crowd. She has a soft, youthful face with a clear complexion and natural freckles that cover her nose and cheeks, giving her a fresh, youthful appearance. Her hair is blonde, almost white, wavy with some volume, giving it a soft, casual look. Her blue-gray eyes can win anyone over with a single glance, and she knows how to use them to her advantage. She is often seen in colorful clothes and different hairstyles.
Mental Description: Coraline is a bubbly, cheerful, and lively girl who rarely thinks much further than the tip of her nose. She prefers not to worry too much and takes life one day at a time. If you go looking for her, you’ll usually find her in detention or wherever there’s trouble going on. Coraline developed her taste for mischief and trouble early on, something she hasn’t managed to shake off with age. Coraline is strong-willed and hates injustice. She isn’t afraid to fight back. Her mouth often runs faster than she can control, and she’ll readily say strange things without thinking about whether it might hurt others, and may therefore come off as rude or mean.
Biography: Coraline was born on the outskirts of London, together with her twin brother Holden. They come from a pure-blood family, where their childhood was largely marked by absent parents and being raised by nannies. Their parents hold high-ranking positions in the Ministry of Magic and therefore didn’t have the time to raise their children themselves. When the nannies eventually quit, Coraline and her brother were sent to a boarding school in Preston at the age of four.
All Coraline had at the boarding school was Holden, until they were separated at the entrance. The school had strict rules where boys and girls were only allowed to see each other during free periods — just thirty minutes throughout the entire day. This affected Cora deeply and has made her reluctant to form close bonds with others. As a defense mechanism, she began acting out and pulling pranks, which often led to punishments that further limited the time she was allowed to see her brother.
First Instance of Magic: Coraline always knew from the beginning she was a witch, due to her pureblooded heritage. Her first encounter with magic was when she had just turned 4, accidentally breaking a mug when mad at her brother.
