Physical Description: Edwina is thin and tall for her age. She always stands out among her peers, especially girls, so she often feels quite awkward with them. Her mother usually braids her hair but she does not complain about it - with her participance in every one sport competition it is just a matter of need! She has white skin and her face is lightly covered in freckles. She has grayish-green eyes and thin light lips that hide a bit crooked teeth. Kids always laugh at her about it, but she is too scared of dentists to go fix them, so her parents decided to move this matter to the next year. Once again.

Mental Description: Edwina is very, very restless and chaotic. She cannot just sit in one spot and do nothing. She finds school classes extremely boring and drawing in the margins of the notebook is much more entertaining. Her favorite school subject though is PE. No need to think, just run and do some exercises, in which she is good at.

Edwina does not think twice before doing something. She usually does anything that even relatively looks fun, but it often led her to dangerous situations. One time she fell from the tree, because she wanted to impress her friends and did not know how to get down, another one she fell under the ice, because she thought that it had already frozen enough at the beginning of December, so she was in the hospital for several weeks with a high fever. Her friends call her cool, her parents call it foolishness.

She always tries to be friendly with everyone she meets. She loves making people laugh but on the other side if nobody is laughing she thinks she is doing a bad job. Her biggest fear is quiet. In her opinion, if everyone around is silent it means that something is wrong. In moments like that she goes out of her way to cheer everyone up, even if it is not needed. Because of that Edwina is bad at emotional support and serious talks. She just does not understand what to do or say in response. She will always listen, but she feels really awkward.

Edwina is extremely loyal to her friends and if somebody is rude to them, she will start a fight without thinking. She will not tolerate insults in her direction too, but after a few fights and a bit of scolding from her mother, she at least does not break other children's noses.

Biography: Edwina was born to Claire and Mark Whitehead on April 3, 2014 in Manchester, England. She was an only child, though she really wanted a younger sibling. Her parents loved and cared for her from the day she was born. Sometimes her father's grandmother, Amanda, when she was visiting said that they would spoil her eventually, though she herself never refused to spend time with Edwina or give her an extra piece of candy before her parents could see it.

When Edwina was just a little girl, they often went to her mother's hometown, Uppermill, to visit other relatives. Edwina liked it there. Their small cottage smelled like honey and apple pie and was always bathed in sunlight. All her childhood she was running around through gardens and fields with brown border collie Bennie until the sunset.

Edwina went to an ordinary school in Manchester, but it was evident from the first classes that she was not as interested at math or biology as sports. Her mother blamed her football coach father, who never missed an opportunity to spend active time with his daughter. Despite this, Edwina was not the worst in the class. Her mother always said that she was a smart child and indeed she was, but she had slightly different priorities.

Her mother was unemployed for a long time, so it was her, who cooked, cleaned the house and brought up Edwina most of the time. She helped her with her homework, but in the process was stricter than usual, so Edwina did not really like that time spent.

Her parents bought her phone quite late and most of the time controlled the use of it, so she really did not understand others interest in the piece of plastic, if instead she could just hang out with her friends or go ride a bicycle. Therefore, she sometimes (or rather most of the time) did not understand what her peers were saying.

From the first year of school Edwina befriended three kids: Maria Brown, Leo Wilson and Noah Fletcher. The four of them was an inseparable team. At least that was what Edwina thought. Every summer they hung out as often as possible and some teachers did not like them, because they never paid attention in class if they were together.

First Instance of Magic: Since her nine Edwina became a target of bulling from the other pupil - a girl from her class who transferred to their school later, Christy Myers. Edwina and her friends tried to ignore her, but it was not possible to ignore everything. When Edwina turned ten, on her birthday Christy and other mean girls annoyed her all day: pulled on her hair, when teacher was not looking, grabbed things from her and did not give back, tripped her up. It was a nightmare. Her friends said that that was only to make her angry so she tried to stay calm as much as she could. But when she received a note in her last lesson in which Christy made fun of her mother, Edwina felt like she might explode with anger. At the same moment, her notebook caught on fire by itself. With the quick reaction of a teacher, a larger fire or injuries to the students were avoided and it extinguished quickly. However, Edwina was severely reprimanded both at school and at home for using a lighter, despite her efforts to convince that she did not have one. It was crazy to her that nobody, except her friends, believed her, but either way everybody seemed to quickly forget about the incident and it was never brought up again.
