Biography: Candice comes from a Latin American Muggle family that moved to England before she was born, so she obtained British citizenship. She has two older siblings, Gilbert and Jane, and a younger one, Daniel. From a young age, she learned to do things for herself due to her parents' difficulty in giving her their full attention. This difficulty is compounded by her older brother's depression and her younger brother's autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

First Instance of Magic: One winter afternoon in London, while Candice was out for a walk with her father when she was four years old, she performed her first act of magic.
It was around 6 p.m. when her father, Philip, took her to a small café so she wouldn't tire herself out on the walk home. They sat at a table by the window and ate peacefully. But at one point, when Philip turned around to pay the bill, Candice noticed a piece of toast still on one of the plates across the table. Somehow, without her understanding (but without worrying about it either), it arrived to the middle of the table, just high enough for her to reach it by standing on her chair and stretching.
