Julianna who's called Julie but her loving Mother and friends, is practically what you'd call a doll. She's got:-
1. Pretty Blue eyes so blue that you can drown on them.
2. A perfect dainty face what looks like it was sculpted by Michelangelo himself.
3.A soft pink pair of lips that matches quite well with her milky white skin.
4.Lucious ginger locks making her even more graceful than she is.
But Julie didn't believe that. To her, this beauty is a curse. For, she hates the attention that comes with it. The expectations that she forced upon herself to act a certain way to be always on the receiving end of that attention. And her plump lips , cracked from dehydration, is mostly put in a thin line rather than a half circle. Oh another thing about her that she does find cute, is , she has freckles, which is not much but can only be seen mostly in summer (which is again, Julie's Favourite season)

Although Initially Cheerful, and wholesome, Julie had become more guarded and kinda Rude?
No Stoic is a better choice of Words. She wasn't initially like that.
As a kid, Julie's only friends were her cousin sisters, Alice and Madeline. Being the same age they always used to play in each other's houses or in the neighborhood park.
Julie's family was loving too.
But the problem arises when, she started her middle school. From having little to no friends in school (only Alice and Madeline) to being surrounded by people all the damn time. All because of what? Looks? Those popularity slowly started to grow on her. Make her someone she's not. Grades dropping. The teacher's that used to seeing Julie excel in academics and sports saw her changing. Her parents were worried. Her whole kind, funny demeanor degraded into the typical "mean girl" demeanor and soon soon Julie lost herself trying to chase something she never wanted.

Biography :

As the popular going says,
"The fruit doesn't fall far from the Basket"
, it is exactly what I'd say about Julianna's family. Wholesome, Kind, sweet but fiercely protective of their daughter. Thinking Julie isn't kind or wholesome? She was at some point. And she is still is there somewhere.
Rita Smith (Julie's mother) is what you'd call a humanized version of a kitten. Black hair, blue eyes and Feisty to no end. Meanwhile, Shawn Smith (Julie's Father) was the golden retriever husband. Ginger, Brown eyes, tall and insanely Handsome. But what's more perfect than his Looks is his love for his wife and daughter. They both met at an Office event, and it was love at first sight for them. It was after 3 months of their first meet, that they bound themselves in a holy Matrimony.
Julie was conceived that year and when she was barely 3, did they bought a new house together. It was Shawn who took Julie to her first camping, after that it became their family tradition to go camping . They've been to Hale farm , chalky downs and other popular places. Shawn inculcate the likes for adventure in Julie's heart. She had learnt skating, often went to cycling in the forest with her Dad. While her mother gave Julie the idea of creativity. From the young age Rita used to Tell stories to Julie before she fell asleep. The stories started to evolve gradually, from kids books, to fiction, to sci-fi until Julie herself wrote a book herself which wasn't popular but it seemed her school friends liked it.
At school Julie had many friends but no close ones . It didn't bother her though because her cousins Alice and Madeline (Maddy) was there. Alice and Maddy were her best friends. So when things got bad at school, Alice and Maddy made sure she's okay. They used to play in the park nearby their house, and June used to teach Alice to skate, while Maddy and June used to Learn Karate. Alice and Madeline like a sister always cared for Julie. But after Julie went to the Middle School, she constantly avoided them because they were not as "popular" as her now. Plus she became mean to them. So naturally their friendship broke even if Alice and Madeline still wanted to be friends with Julie.
And now mostly, they don't meet.
It breaks her parents hurts , but her parents also knew something is up, which isn't normal.

Of you've told a 9 year old Julianna Smith that she'd fail maths the next year she'd have laughed at your face. But the 10 year old Julie standing in front of the principal's office looked at her marksheet like it's burning her.

Her grades used to be immaculate. Gold stars. Teachers who said, "What a bright girl!"But somewhere between ten and eleven, Julie learned that being brilliant made you lonely in a different way. So she stopped raising her hand. Stopped finishing extra credit. Started saying things like, “It’s just school. Who cares?”

And then came her test results. F in Maths. Her chest ached like she's been bruised. Other students who had been her "minions" got better grades than her and still came to her to run it in her face. She wanted to tear the pages.
Her mother, Rita, came out of that Principal's office angry. The car started of as an deafening silence. And then Rita said pulling inside their garage, "34 in biology, 70 in English, 40 in Chem, I understand... But F in MATHS?!"
Julie winced and then glared at her mom, "it's no big deal mom, they asked me to take a re-test"
"Retest Julie? You- You were the one who won the science exhibition two years ago and now... What changed Julie? This isn't you!", Rita said frustrated. Julie who was already bursting with emotions, took her bag fingers digging. She wanted to yell at her mom.
What changed?
Friends, Attention, Not Eating alone at lunch. But even she knew somewhere in her heart that those people don't care about her.

"MAYBE I DON'T WANNA BE THAT GIRL ANYMORE! HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF THAT?!"
The light of the garage began to flicker. Suddenly crows started to cawing.
None of them noticed in the heat of the moment.

Her mother stunned tried to calm Her daughter down. She loves her daughter very much and it breaks her heart to see her be like this. "Julie, honey, I just-" she started but was cut off by Julie's sarcastic laugh though it held anger and pain.
"You just never see do you? Why do I always have to live by your expectations?!"

Her mother stopped hurt. The garage light glowed so bright it burst. Julie didn't care , she was so angry it felt like she wanted to rip open something. The car doors suddenly opened scaring both of them at the same time.
The headlights did the same. Broke with glass all over the floor.

Silence.
Absolute.
Rita stared at the smoking headlights.
Julie stared at her hands.
She hadn’t touched anything.
Her anger still roared inside her, but beneath it was something else, something electric, coiling and alive.
Rita exhaled slowly. “The wiring must be faulty.”
Julie said nothing. Just got out of the car anger subsiding with an ache to... Get back what she already had.
