Wand
20,8 cm Chestnut Wood and Phoenix Feather
Reducio
Chestnut:
Chestnut wood is connected to honesty and emotional awareness. It works best with people who understand other people well and stay true to themselves. This type of wand dislikes dishonesty, especially from its owner. If the person using it is confident in who they are and acts with integrity, the wand becomes very reliable and responsive.
Chestnut wands are good at strengthening the abilities their owner has. They work well for people who are thoughtful, perceptive, and willing to grow. They’re suited for charmwork and defensive magic because they respond to careful, controlled spellcasting.
Phoenix Feather:
Phoenix feather cores are very rare and powerful. They're capable of performing a large range of magic and are known for producing strong, and sometimes dramatic spells. This core often chooses people who will go through a lot of growth and change in their lives. Phoenix feather wands can be independent and may react strongly to emotion. When the owner is focused and confident, their magic is powerful and precise. When their emotions are high, the spells can become more intense. They are also known for casting very strong Patronuses.
A phoenix feather core suggests a wand that is loyal, powerful, and capable of great things, especially in the hands of someone who embraces challenges.

Physical Description: Amari has shoulder-length curly dark brown hair, which she usually parts off-center, sometimes tucking one side behind her ear without noticing. Her build is curvy with a skinny waist (genes did her well lol) with a small chest. Shes also pretty muscular in her arms because of gymnastics classes, and she has the faint outlines of a four-pack on her stomach. The most unique thing about her is her heterochromia: the right is an earthy brown, and the left is mossy green. The difference is subtle, but in the right light, it stands out like two seasons meeting in her face. She has a few piercings; Double peircings on both ears, nasal, and snakebites, but she only wears those at night so people won't see them. A small, thin scar traces through her bottom lip, from a childhood fall from a high stone wall in her backyard. Her father said he could heal it, but she refused because it was already healing. The gash was pretty superficial, so it healed fast. The faint scar is something she secretly likes, because it makes her feel tougher than she looks. She has an average height, with a runner’s build from always being on the move. She wears thin circle gold wire-frame glasses with an ornate design on the temples. Her style is simple but cozy: worn-in jeans, oversized sweaters, and silver jewelry she plays with when she’s lost in thought. She also enjoys wearing crop tops and hoop earrings when she wants to look good. She also grew a love of makeup when her father took her into an Ulta, after she found a box of her mother's old makeup. She also really enjoys doing her nails/getting her nails done. She absolutely adores Y2K fashion, so Apple bottoms, miss-me jeans, and Juicy Couture

Mental Description: Amari is observant, she takes her time before speaking. She watches a room for a few minutes to figure out how to fit in. Her mind is fast and analytical, her humor is very developed and a little dark, and she tends to make people laugh hard with her jokes. She doesn't particularly enjoy new people, but when she trusts someone, she’s very attached. She’s bisexual, but it’s not something she makes a big deal about, it’s just another part of her. Above all, she’s drawn to confidence and intelligence. She can be stubborn when she thinks she’s right. She has a quiet empathy and feels things deeply, even though she doesn’t always show it. She can’t stand cruelty, arrogance, or being underestimated. She loves old books, rainy afternoons, astronomy, strong tea with honey, late-night talks, and discovering new Muggle things. She hates dishonesty, overly spicy chips, loud chewing, and people who talk over her. She also very much enjoys Muggle food and tv shows like Ramen, Takis, Lays, Matcha, Hazbin Hotel, and One Piece.

Biography: Her mother died during childbirth. She knew this fact before fully understanding what it meant. She was raised by her father, who loved her deeply but still seemed like he had a quiet sadness with him. Their home wasn't unhappy at all, but it felt like a place holding on to something significant. Her father did his best. He learned how to braid hair from books. He sometimes burned dinners. He raised her to be independent, thoughtful, and capable. In a few ways, she grew up fast, usually helping around the house and learning to take care of herself. Her mother’s closest friend, Marigold May Patel, "Auntie May" stayed in her life. Auntie May was a half-blood and connected two worlds. Every weekend, Amari visited her house, where magic and Muggle life intertwined. Because of this, she grew up comfortable in both worlds. She knows how to navigate a city bus route and recognize the sound of a protective charm. She had a few close friends but always kept her circle small. She never liked large crowds. She prefers special connections to popularity. Her father got her a ferret for her 8th birthday after she saw a documentary about them. She named it Nyx, and she absolutely adores it (I will get the ferret after I get validated, and get money-)

First Instance of Magic:Her first instance of magic happened when she was eight. A group of older kids had cornered a younger child at the park, teasing him and refusing to give back his backpack. She didn't know him, but she hated the look on his face. Her hands curled into fists, and she felt something electric rush up her spine. The zipper on the leader’s backpack suddenly burst open. It unzipped violently. Papers and snacks flew out as a small storm picked up. The wind picked up just enough to scatter everything across the playground. No one saw her do anything. She didn't move. The bullies ran away, embarrassed. The younger kid stared at her like she was unreal. She went home with her heart racing, already knowing what it meant. When she told Auntie May that weekend, she didn’t seem surprised. She just smiled and said, “Hm. Took you long enough.” In the months after that, her father began schooling her in basic charms and potions.
