Physical Description: The character is a girl with slim figure, thin waist, long legs but relatively average height. She has straight black hair with black eyes, and long eyelashes. She has a v-shaped face with a small round button nose and small but full lips. She has very fair skin and a calm aura.
Mental Description: Yuen is introverted but really close to people she is comfortable with. Appears haughty, arrogant on the outside but once you get to know her, she is very intelligent, empathetic and humble. It takes a long time to get close to her but once you are in the circle, you can trust her with your life. She can fluently speak Korean, Japanese and English. Yuen has exceptional dancing skills and often accompanies her godfather to practices and meetings. She has always been a straight A student even in primary school. Yuen is perceptive of her surroundings and notices the smallest details. She may seem fine on the outside but she hasnt yet recovered from her devils and to cope with it she occludes extremely without realising . Very few people know of her life apart from her godfather and his wife.
Parents: Her parents were Korean-American who studied at Ilvermony. Her father was a Pureblood while her mother was a Halfblood. After their education they settled in America but made frequent visits to South Korea for research. Both of them majored in magical history. During one such trips they were researching one of the sacred temples in a remote part of Jeju island. Yuen was almost 2 during this trip and went along with them. She stayed out of the temple with the caretaker of the temple. Her parents ventured too deep in the cave of the temple and came in contact with a cursed boulder which acted like a portkey and zapped them into the void. When her parents did not come back for a day the caretaker got annoyed and left Yuen by herself on the ferry back to Seoul. When she arrived in Seoul, she hid and wandered, crying in the dark alleys near the port until a grandmother noticed her and took her to the nearest orphanage. She has forgotten about the dark alleys and people in them due to young age but sometimes she has flashes and nightmares about them.
Biography: No one has any information about her parents or how she ended up at an orphanage. She was at the age of 4 when she was adopted from Korea by a Halfblood Korean man who is now her god-father as he was too young to be a father then. He suspected that Yuen was magical because of her unnaturally calm behaviour but decided to adopt her anyways. Hence she came to be a halfblood. The man is a kpop idol who introduced her to the korean idol culture but they moved to England when she turned 7. She is Korean by ethnicity but English by nationality. They built their abode in Birmingham and have been there since.
First Instance of Magic: First recorded instance of magic was when she was 8. She was accompanying her godfather to his concert rehersal at the Wembley stadium. She was enjoying his songs and got very excited during one of her favourite parts which lead her to produce colourful sparks all around the stage. Thankfully a wizard on the aesthetics team was able to pass it off as a technical error and hence conceal the incident from the surrounding muggles.
