Physical Description: Decidedly neutral, unremarkable, but noticeably shrewd is how most would describe Frances if ever asked. The eleven year old stands slightly taller than average at four feet ten inches, with dark brown hair and eyes, a pointy chin, and pale skin. The most adornment one could note on the girl was the light dusting of freckles across her nose and the birthmark on her upper arm, which vaguely had the shape of Madagascar.

Mental Description: It was not that Frances was a particularly diligent person, it was actually quite the opposite actually. At nearly any time Frances could identify exactly what it was that she needed to get done, how to best do it, and got to it immediately, because she simply did not care to expend any more energy than was strictly necessary. While this makes perfect sense to her, it has led to a drastic disconnect between how she is perceived by others versus by herself. Many would describe her, for better or worse, as an incisive busybody with a one track mind, and little regard for others, but that was far away from how Frances viewed herself. Inside her mind Frances was a constant whirlwind, observing everything around her, questioning every single detail, playing with ideas light they were clay and she could simply sculpt reality into her own image, and more than occasionally having a bit of an emotional hurricane because of all of this, which she kept tightly under seal.

Biography: Frances's life so far has been outwardly idyllic, with a charming muggle baker as a father, an inquisitive witch historian as a mother, and a boisterous little brother. Upon closer inspection there were hairline fractures all along the girl's life. Her father, Andrew Weller, truly and honestly meant well and did the best he could, but he lived essentially as a single father to two kids due to the ever deteriorating relationship between him and his wife, Lina Nachtnebel. Lina was a quite successful magical archeologist, which often pulled her away from the family home for months at a time on her adventures.

However, these trips are becoming increasingly longer with sparser contact during the long months away, which has led more than one person to suspect that Lina may finally be bowing under the pressure from her pureblood family to find a more appropriate husband for their circle. This has not gone unnoticed by Frances, especially considering she is endlessly nosy and has heard plenty when her maternal grandparents argued about the topic in hushed voices they thought she couldn't hear. While her grandmother Emma was of the mind that Lina should remarry, the woman's husband Stephan thought quite the opposite.

One would think Emma's comments would chip away at Frances's opinion of the woman, it has only given Frances a single minded drive to prove to the older woman that she has worth despite her parentage. As to whether that's out of spite or a desperate need for validation Frances still hasn't been able to figure out.

First Instance of Magic: Two winters ago during a particularly nasty snowstorm Frances had spent the better part of the day crafting a diorama of an old castle her mother had taken her to see, and she was incredibly proud of it. The piece had been left sitting on a short table in the living room while the young girl went off to find a new activity to do, and had become the newest victim of the youngest boy in the house. Young Teddy Weller had developed an odd fixation on chewing on just about anything left in arms reach, and the artfully crafter spires were just the thing he was craving. When Frances returned to see Teddy treating her art project like giant slab of rock candy, breaking pieces of it off to chomp on, she'd gotten so upset that the pieces took on a life of their own and started pelting the boy.
