Lucia Smithson is 10 in September but turns 11 on October 18, She is English and Canadian because of her parents. She has long brown hair that she usually wears in a low ponytail, bun or braid. She usually wears glasses even though she doesn't need them to see and has a hair tie or claw clip with her at all times. She has hazel eyes that always look like they're smiling and her nose scrunches up when she smile's. When not in uniform she is in jeans, over-sized sweaters of any kind, skirts and Mary Jane's or sneakers.

Lucia is very introverted, helpful and empathetic to a fault, she is a super people pleaser and very loyal to those she cares about. She's scared of loss, failure and bugs, especially bugs. She has a very strong moral compass and feels very angry when she sees something wrong but doesn't help because of her social anxiety. She loves listening to music, reading, drawing/watercolour, singing, dancing and watching TV shows and movies on her phone.

Lucia has English and Canadian French heritage, her mothers's family tree was from all over Britain and her father came to Canada when he was in college and met her mom at a pop-up cafe, for years her mom stayed in Canada with her dad until they got married afterward they moved back to Yealmpton, but visited Canada yearly. She has two sisters, a twin and a younger one. She shared a room with her twin from a young age and has grown accustomed to sharing over the years because of that. His home life was loud and chaotic on some days and quiet on others. Her entire family loves music so she grew up around it even though they all have different tastes. Her parents love to cook too so she grew up eating healthy and odd meals that tasted delicious. Her friends are the definition of chaos yet are almost all introverts too, she grew up with the same group of friends most of her school years, they would talk about anything and everything and play dragons in the schoolyard.

Lucia's first instance of magic was when she was when she was 8 and calling for her mom to play the piano, when her mom said she was busy, she went and sang by herself, but at some point the piano started playing the notes by itself so her mom came in and fully believed that the piano was haunted until the ministry of magic came and sorted it out, that's when she found out she was the only witch in the family.
