Hope Williams is a muggle-born witch. She is four feet and nine inches tall. Her hair is strawberry-blonde, elbow-length, and wavy; she has hazel eyes that appear blue, green, or grey, depending on lighting. She has a pale complexion and some freckles. There is a scar on her right leg that came from tripping into a light post.


Hope is quite shy when she first meets new people, but once she feels comfortable around someone, her true, vibrant and joyous personality comes out.

The Williams is located in Cambridge, England. The family isn't very wealthy, but Mr. and Mrs. Williams are both very kind and hospitable. If there is someone in need, they immediately step in and offer up what they can to help. This means the Hope grew up as well taken care of as she could be and has an incredibly loving home environment. Her mother crochets and knits many of the outfits Hope wears. She is an only child, and her parents know nothing of the Wizarding World. Once her parents found out about Hope's "gift," they were supportive, although slightly skeptical. Hope had a normal education until now.

The First Instance of Magic in Hope's life occurred when she was eight and a half years old. She was witness to a bully picking on a fellow student, which made her angry enough for a locker to swing open and knock the bully away from the victim. No one was particularly harmed; however, the bully was taken to the nurse.
