Physical Description: Nina has long black hair that she normally likes to keep in pigtails. She’s about 4’6” in height. She does have a slight blemish on the side of her left eye that’s actually a birthmark. It’s fairly light that you wouldn’t notice unless you were to be face to face with her. Besides the birthmark, she does have a few prominent moles, one being on her right hand just at the base of her pinky finger.
Mental Description: Nina tends to be a bit of a bookworm partly due to her father being a writer. His love of books was passed down to her. She can be a bit shy around strangers unless she warms up to them. She has a fondness for animals especially with having a pet cat and two dogs back at home. Sometimes she feels a bit closer to creatures rather than people.
Biography: Nina always knew her father was a wizard and that her mother never had magic of any kind. What she knows from her parents reminiscing is that her mother immigrated to England from Vietnam as a young girl. And her father is of English and Italian background.
Her father is an author that slowly assimilated into muggle life after meeting her mother. While she may not have been constantly around magic, she knew of its existence from a young age. In the privacy of their home, her father practiced some magic around her as a norm. Thanks to her family’s bond, it became easier to balance the idea of having a muggle identity while also having the ability to use magic. Although, there have been a few magical incidents inside the home that have caused unnecessary stress on her mother.
She has two younger siblings, a brother being 6 years younger and a sister being 8 years younger. Prior to getting a letter from Hogwarts, she had a normal home life with muggle friends. Her father of course fixed any accidental magic from her end. She had a small circle of friends at her school in Leicester (her best friend being a girl named Marcie) whom she’ll miss once she goes to Hogwarts. A part of her feels guilty for hiding the fact that she has magic but she hopes that she can keep her friendship with everyone. She has told Marcie that she’ll be moving away (a little white lie) but she’ll be sure to visit during the holidays.
First Instance of Magic: Nina’s first instance of magic was playing in an inflatable kiddie pool. She was around the age of 4 when she somehow created a bunch of soapy bubbles in the water akin to a bubble bath.
