Celeste Hawthorne is a human girl who seems to always be watching and observing others, nothing things that others don’t. She has long curly brown hair that she often wears out, her curls framing her face. Her eyes are a very dark brown, so dark they are almost black, that sometimes makes it seem like she is seeing more than your exterior. Celeste has an average build, and carries herself with an air of confidence and power. She likes to dress nicely when not in her school robes, presenting neatly and fashionably.

Celeste is intuitive and very loyal to those she trusts. She feels all her emotions very strongly, but need to work hard to keep her fiery temper in check. She is smart and curious, and particularly loves languages and alchemy. She is guarded when around strangers, but warm and kind (if not very sarcastic) to her friends.

Celeste has a twin sister named Cassiopeia, and an older brother. She spend her very early childhood and late teen years living in Hawthorne Manor, located in Oxford, England. Celeste grew up close to her siblings, though they often argued as all siblings do. She completed her early education in France, where she learned to speak fluent French. Celeste has around five close friends and one best friend. Her best friend is often seen as weird and an outcast, but Celeste loves her like a sister.

Celeste’s first sign of magic occurred when she was five years old. During an argument with her twin sister, her anger went out of control . In a fit of anger she accidentally ignited the ends of her sister’s hair. The fire was small and quickly put out.
