History:
Born in Eastern Canada of a wizard mother and a muggle father who met out of their shared passion for wildlife. Her father, Claude Aurore was a herpetologist and her mother Rosheen Mullen was a visitor to the cold lands of Canada in search of new Magical creatures to document. While her father was out researching the local population of turtles at a lake near his remote home he was swarmed by biting Doxies. Rosheen swept in wand in hand to disperse the mischievous fae and the rest is history.
Riven's magical blood started surfacing quite young, manifesting as puffs of colored lights that would appear when she was afraid of something in the dark of her room. Her mother witnessing this uprooted the family's home/study back to her homeland of Ireland near the rivers of Cork.
On the misty morning of her 11th birthday, Riven heard a tapping sound at her upstairs bedroom window where a large barn owl was tapping its beak against the glass. She had seen some parts of the wizarding world already but normally things like this would go straight to her mother. She opened the window and the owl flew in and dropped a heavy parchment letter on her bedspread. Elegantly penned in rich, dark ink was her personal invitation to the greatest wizarding school in the world and the start of her adventures.
