Rowan MacKenna, was born to Avia and Cian in the town of Limerick, Ireland. Her mother and father were a primary school teacher and bookshop owner respectively. So she she grew up, most of her free time was spent reading the numerous books she could get her hands on; everything from fiction, fantasy, biographical and, well, you get the idea. It wasn’t until one day that when she could not reach a particular book, that her magic showed itself by pulling the book right off of the shelf. Thankfully no customers were inside the shop to witness such a feat as it became a usual sight, though she tried to resist the urge for books she could not get.

When she wasn’t keeping her nose in a book, she would run around the plot of land her childhood home resided on, splashing around in the brook that ran through in the back. She never minded getting dirty as she spent hours exploring and playing, even when her mother would chastise her for getting tears in her clothing and all matters of plant life in her auburn hair; nothing could take the happy sparkle from her green eyes.

A bubbly girl, she was fairly smart with all that she read, but knew fair enough that intellect did not make one superior to others. She believes for that all that one knew, there was always more to learn so it was best to never boast about knowing everything. She never hesitates to stand up for her friends, or even against them if they are in the wrong.
