Eris Aisling is 145cm in height and is quite fair. She has wavy, auburn hair which reaches just above her shoulders. She has freckles, hazel, almond-shaped eyes and a button nose. She wears rectangular glasses in a black colour.
She has a quiet, introverted nature, preferring to listen than to speak, and is shy. Due to her shyness, it takes her some time to make friends and get accustomed to new people. She is a very patient and empathetic child but is prone to fierce bouts of anger when something severely upsets her. Eris can be a little sassy and make witty comments at times and has a secret feisty side that she shows to only her close friends.
The first instance of magic she encountered was when she turned nine and was playing in their garden. She came across some trampled flowers, which were her favourite kind, and was so sad and indignant. When she picked them up to show it to her mother, it came back to life and bloomed again, which surprised and pleased her.
After that, her mother began to tell her many stories about magical schools, spells and creatures. Every time she did, her father (a muggle) would smile knowingly at her. Eris always assumed that the stories were merely stories until her eleventh birthday.
