Story
I'm Robin Welch, an 11 year-old half-blood who grew up in the quiet, whimsical town of Swansea, in Wales. Home was always aa warm sort of place, the kind where you can feel the love in the walls. Mum and Dad never failed to make it feel safe, and, without really meaning too, they taught me to pay attention to tiny details, to understand people, and to be kind whenever I can. I’ve always had a soft spot for nature: plants, birds, anything that grows or flutters. Those interests became my way of integrate into the world around me. My family still laugh about how easily I drift off into my own thoughts, staring at something small for ages and forgetting everything else. It’s just how I am, I suppose.
There’s one memory from when I was 5 that’s stayed with me more clearly than anything else:
I hadd scraped my knee badly while playing outside, and the sting of it made me miserable. Mum sat me on the sofa with a cup of pumpkin juice, telling me to keep still, and started to dress the wound. My knee hurt, but what really caught my attentionw was what I saw through the window: a tiny grey kitten curled beside Mum’s flowers, trembling and whimpering in the sudden cold. It looked so small and lost that something inside me just crumbled. My lip started to wobble, and I got that tight feeling in my throat you get just before you cry.
Then something strange happened:
Before I even thought about moving, the window glass just vanished and the kitten feel right in the house tumbling on the floor. Mum turned around at the sound and was shocked by the new presence in the room, she then turned to me and asked if I knew how it got in the house. I was also shocked and just said that I felt sad for the kitten and it just fell in the room through the window. (She then understood the magic but kept it to herself and waited till I was older to explain what happeded) She then finished quickly dressing my wound and started looking after the kitten. From that day on the kitten stayed with us and I called him Pedro
Physical description
I identify as non-binary; I'm average height for my age and quite agile. My hair is almost black, and my eyes are dark brown. I don't have any noticeable scars or marks. I was lucky to have a childhood with no serious injuries, as my family always made sure to fix any small accidents quickly.
