She has wavy, brown curly hair and dark brown eyes, as well as pale skin. She's a little small of stature but not remarkably so, possesses crooked teeth and a subsequent lopsided smile, though most of the time she opts for frowns and pursed lips instead. She's quick and in generally good shape, albeit a little thin. She also has a just barely noticeable limp which can be attributed to the werewolf bite she sustained at age nine on her left ankle, where there are several scars usually hidden effectively by socks. Her limp becomes more noticeable in the days leading up to a full moon as it is a direct result of the initial attack. More on this later.

Mental Description:

Lyric is empathetic and kind, constantly trying to lift others up and always ready to listen. She jumps at most opportunities to help and likes to feel useful to others. She loves nature and exploring, and is fascinated by wands and their making However, there is a persistent internal conflict between herself and the monster she becomes every full moon, causing her to feel often feel below others or a danger to them, and utterly alone. For this reason she tends to isolate herself in subtle ways and is inverted around even those she trusts, as it’s simply more natural to keep emotions bottled up inside. Lyric enjoys thinking deeply about life and purpose, but can oftentimes allow this to put her in a "mood." She will lost in thought and may forget to answer peoples' questions or listen, though not for lack of effort.

Biography:
Reducio
Lyric was born on the windy and cold noon of October 8th, 2014 in Manhattan, New York. For her early childhood she lived in a small apartment building and was rarely permitted to leave. During that time her grandmother had recently been diagnosed with a fatal illness and came to live with Lyric and her mother during her dying days. These days taught Lyric to be a quiet child who could entertain herself and do as she's told, as well as be a caretaker to the family. Lyric's father had taken her two older siblings to England and was working there (selling plots of land in the countryside) to save up enough money to send for the child and her mother after Ousel (Lyric's ill grandmother) passed. In the weeks before she died Ousel began to talk of nonsensical things and continuously persisted to Lyric's mother that Lyric was a witch, distressing the poor mother to no end. Lyric moved to the countryside of Long Man, England from America when she was six, and lives there currently with her father (Albert Tobin), mother (Juliette Tobin), and four siblings: Jason (15), Matilda (12), Rupert (8), and Freya (4). She is homeschooled and has a basic education but considering she is (supposedly) muggle-born, has no prior knowledge of magic or the wizarding world. Her family lives a few miles away from the nearest town, and home life is simple and domestic. Except, of course, that one dreaded night of each month when Lyric travels up to Mr. Klouse's house for her transformation. When Lyric's family learned she was a witch and had a place at Hogwarts, they were shocked and dismayed. She was viewed suddenly as something of a freak among her siblings and teased relentlessly. Her mother, Juliette, insisted that Lyric could not go because she needed help with the younger children- as Albert was away often for work and both Jason and Matilda were off at boarding school. However, with the insistent delivery of letters (nay, the bombardment of them) they relented, and Lyric (to her utmost delight) was permitted to attend.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Lyric first encountered magic when she was five and had wandered away from her mother on the busy New York streets while she was buying food from a cart. Lyric walked right into the street and was nearly run over, but just before a car was about to hit her, she suddenly found herself back in the arms of her anxious and confused mother. Strange occurrences such as this would persist in the later years of Lyric's life, but this was the first and most notable.

Extended Werewolf Lore:
Reducio
Lyric became a werewolf when she was nine years old. The incident of the bite occurred while she was playing with her younger brother and sister in the sprawling fields behind their house. It was dark out besides the full moon, and the three children had just been called inside by their mother. In that instant, as they were returning from the house, a large creature suddenly burst from the underbrush and started for them. Lyric stood between her siblings and the beast, which was a werewolf, though they didn't know at the time. Both siblings made it to the house unscathed, however the werewolf caught Lyric around the left ankle as she fled and dragged her a little ways, leaving a twisted foot and various bite marks. Her father then shot at the werewolf from the front porch, and it ran away. For the next few weeks Lyric was extremely ill and feverish. She experienced lapses of what appeared to be insanity to her family, and was very weak. She supposedly healed, and things went back to normal until the full moon. Lyric had been irritable all day and was sent to bed early. As the full moon rose, Lyric transformed for the first time in an extremely painful process. She tore apart her bed sheets and scrabbled at the door and walls. Her parents, distressed by the horrible noise opened her door only to be attacked by a feral animal that they (being muggles) had naught the slightest notion was their daughter. Thinking the werewolf had killed Lyric and was going to kill them, Lyric's father got a hold of his gun and aimed a shot at the werewolf, but it was unloaded. The family fled from the house with Lyric, in werewolf form, locked inside. When they returned later that morning it was to find their daughter laying on the floor, frail and wrapped in scraps. They assumed the werewolf had escaped the house and Lyric miraculously survived the attack. Lyric, however, knew the truth. As much as it confused and frightened her, she remembered the transformation and attacking her own family. She realized that she had become a monster, and instead of telling her parents she ran away into the forest. Here she found a house hidden in the woods. Inside it was an old muggle, who was nursing an infected bullet wound to his leg and was unable to care for his house and many animals. Ever the caretaker, Lyric attempted to help him as much as possible, and in return he allowed her to stay in his home and treated her kindly as his own daughter for a little while. Soon Lyric admitted to the man (who's name was Christopher Klouse) that she would turn into a monster, and he revealed that she was a werewolf, as was he. Mr. Klouse informed her that he had broken loose from his confines one night and had, regrettably, been the one to bite her, hence the bullet wound. It was later arranged that Mr. Klouse would give her sanctuary for that one night of every month that she transformed, and Lyric returned to her anxious family after a little less than a month of being away. Mr. Klouse told them he was a doctor and that every month Lyric would have to visit him for check-ups, which they agreed to. Lyric was admitted to Hogwarts two years later in the hopes that any proper accommodations could be made for her to attend the school.

Family Tree Lore That Will Probably Come Back to Bite Me:
Reducio
Lyric's status is, officially a half-breed, and may (second to that) be considered muggle born. However, though it remains unknows to Lyric and her family, her mother (Juliette Tobin) is not a muggle at all but a Squib. Juliette was the youngest daughter of Ousel Earnwinkle, a half-blood with a desk job at the Ministry, a bitter ex-husband, and two teenage sons (Lewis and Dietrich, long-lost uncles of Lyric's) who were in said ex-husbands custody. Ousel fell in love with another man, and the two had plans to marry before her unexpected pregnancy. When Juliette was born it was evident early on that the child was incredibly practical, utterly logical, and hopelessly unmagical. Her father was dismayed with her and left Ousel and Juliette proclaiming that he no longer wished to raise a family of Squibs (though it was doubtful whether he ever intended to stay in the first place). Ousel, nevertheless, cared for Juliette and did not want to raise her in a world where she felt lesser than others or at any sort of disadvantage. Ousel gave up magic, cut any ties she had with the magical world, and moved to New York. Here Juliette was raised as a muggle child, eventually met Albert Tobin, and became a mother of five. During her dying days, Ousel lived the remainder of her time with Juliette and her (current) youngest daughter, Lyric. Even after so long away, and at such a condition near close to death, she recognized Lyric as a magical child. Ousel continuously attempted to convey this message to Juliette, but in the end composed one short letter to the sons she had not seen for over a decade, pleading with them to look after Lyric. Unfortunately, Ousel died before the letter could ever be sent.

Fun Facts / Traits:

When Lyric is stressed or overwhelmed she has a habit of scratching at the back of her neck, tugging on her right ear, or fidgeting. She enjoys writing stories and playing with her siblings, though is shy around other children and often belittles herself. She is surprisingly agile at climbing various structures, fitting into small spaces, and running and/or hiding.
She also tends to cry often under emotional stress or strain and despises it about herself, leading her to generally maintain a calm, casual, and polite demeanor. Also, she's worn a small key necklace for as as long as she can remember, though she doesn't really know why or where it came from...
