Born and raised in Liverpool, she grew up not knowing anything about magic, until she received her letter from Hogwarts. Of course she did have a few instances where her magic manifested itself, but with parents that didn't know anything about magic, she is lead to believe it is nothing but a coincidence. 

Ryan is rather quiet most days, though when she's feeling up to it she can be quite funny. She likes lots of different types of music, and is an avid movie goer. She likes all sorts of animals, but is afraid of flappy birds and flying insects, besides butterflies.

Once she got her letter, and her parents were informed about the existence of magic, they were quite excited to get as involved as possible.

Ryan is quite short, only about 4'9", she has long black hair that reaches between her shoulder blades. She has bright blue eyes, a soft rounded face, a straight long nose, somewhat shallow cheekbones, a pointed chin with a small mouth. She's almost thin, but with a softness to her frame that keeps her from being called such.

Once she starts hearing about Hogwarts, and the four houses, she quickly decides on which house she would prefer to be in. She sees herself as a ravenclaw, she's clever enough to make it, and has enough quirkiness and imagination to fit in.
