She is small and slender for her age, around 4 feet 8 inches. She wears simple, practical clothes and often tucks strands of hair behind her ears when concentrating or nervous.

Mental Description: Sophie is cheerful, curious, cheeky, ambitious and a little nerdy. She loves reading, science experiments, puzzles, and collecting facts about the world. She is observant, sensitive, and has a strong sense of justice. Optimistic and loyal, she isn’t afraid to snap back when people are rude and can be quite fiery in defending herself or her friends.

Biography: Sophie grew up with her mother in a modest home. Both her parents were Muggles. Her father passed away a few months ago from a sudden heart attack even though he was in good health, which was hard for her small family. But Sophie and her mother remained close and shared small joys like reading, baking, and walking in the park even though they had little money. She spent much of her time entertaining herself with books, puzzles, and little experiments. At age eleven, she received her Hogwarts letter, giving her hope of discovering a place to belong and getting a bright future.

First Instance of Magic: During a recess at her Muggle school, when she was 10, Sophie was being teased by a group of classmates. As she stood near a tree, trying to ignore them, a branch suddenly snapped off and flew through the air, striking one of the bullies on the back of the head. The group quickly scattered, confused, leaving Sophie bewildered.
