Matthias "Matt" Woodstone is an energetic, outgoing 12 year old. He has messy but fluffy brown hair and big, green eyes. Most of the time, he wears baggy band t-shirts, cargo bottoms and his favourite red Converse. He hates his glasses but wears them because without them, he cannot see. He also wears earrings, often dragon ones because, in his opinion, dragons are cool.
Mentally, Matthias is very stable. He thinks that he is a good friend and sibling, and that he has a cheesy sense of humour. He went through somewhat hard times as a child because he realised he was transgender at the age of 10, yet that has not stopped him from living life to the full. His parents, although both from ancient pure-blood families, love and accept him just the way he is.
Matt grew up in Belfast and he loved going to Ballyholme beach and going rockpooling. He used to imagine that sea dragons exist and he could find them in the pools. He also loved visiting the Titanic museum because he had an obsession with the Titanic when he was around 5 years old. His mother descends from the Cragside family, a 900 year old line and, his father descends from the powerful Woodstone family, a 1000 year old line. He also has a dog called Caelen that he adores.
His first instance of magic happened at around 9 years old. His parents were arguing over something trivial, that they probably should not have been, so Matt decided to go into his library. He was struggling to reach his encyclopedia, funnily enough, of dragons and became really frustrated. Barely audible, the encyclopedia started rustling out of the blue. The next moment, it flew to the floor. Matt jumped back; did he just do that? He was amazed and confused so he called out for his mum. Calmly, his mum explained that he was a wizard and in around 2 years, he would receive an acceptance letter to a school called Hogwarts, a school full of talented children just like him.
