Physical Description: Taros is somewhat tall, standing at roughly 6’0”, and has dark hair and dark eyes. His arms are covered in magical tattoos, largely of animals and assorted patterns. There is something warm and welcoming about his demeanour, and he smiles frequently, which lights up his expression.
Mental Description: Level-headed, calm, kind, nurturing, and responsible, it wasn’t a surprise to Taros’s family when he told them he would be accepting a job at Hogwarts. He’s friendly, charming, and loves deeply, and, as a result, rarely has trouble making friends and getting along with people. He’s quite sociable, but his real passions lie mainly with animals and plants.
Biography: Taros grew up with a lot of warmth in his household. The house could get a bit crowded during his childhood, as he is the second youngest of five children, but his parents still managed to make time for them all and were supportive.
His oldest sister was born in Spain, where their parents had lived at the time, and spent her early childhood there. When she was five, the three moved to Ireland, right before the second child was born, and they lived there ever since. Multiple languages were spoken at home, and Taros developed a love for languages very early on.
The siblings generally got along, although there was some fighting, as there was with any pair of siblings. The age gaps between some of them felt large at the time—considering there were roughly thirteen years separating the oldest and youngest—but, later in life, even those who hadn’t been close in childhood formed better bonds. At the very least, Taros had always been very close with one of his brothers, who was only one year older than him, and they had been quite inseparable.
Taros had been a bit quiet and shy in his first few years of attending Hogwarts, but he grew into himself with time and encouragement, meeting friends and professors that he was able to connect with and discovering more about his passions. He did like spellcasting, but Potions, Herbology, Astronomy, and Care of Magical Creatures were the classes where he really shone. The natural world drew him in.
By now, Taros has had plenty of experience working with a variety of things within the fields he was interested in back at Hogwarts, in particular with magical creatures of many different types. The opening for Groundskeeper came when he was looking for something new in his career, and the way it combines many of his interests made it particularly appealing, along with the opportunity to give back to his old school.
First Instance of Magic: Taros was three and happily babbling away to his parents when he excitedly thrust his arms in the air and confetti shot out of his little hands.
