Physical Description: With messy freckles, round bronze glasses, and hazel eyes that miss nothing, she looks like the picture of innocence. Her reddish-brown hair curls around her cheeks like it’s eager and she has two dorky pigtails that stand out like extra ears ready to listen in.
Mental Description: El moves quietly, speaks kindly, and seems to always know just when to offer help… or when to vanish entirely. She's just a tad manipulative, a rare trait for her household.
Biography: Home meant almost no privacy to the Foxglows, a historically Hufflepuff house. Aunties read your diary, swearing its to make sure you're alright. It didn't help that it was drilled into you, the inability to say no, to not help out. They'd guilt you into doing the right thing, only El saw past that, saw how useful that guilt might be elsewhere. And no one suspected a thing, love in the household was unconditional, almost smothering. Though you were expected to follow in-tow, everyone had to be good, be helpful, be ugh honest.
Family was full of gullible sorts, or so El would say. Grandma was persistent and doting, making her an easy target, always one extra cookie or an easy extra half hour of staying up past curfew, after asking her to read a story rather than anyone else, knowing she'd fall asleep, giving her time to mess around with her pets or toys, or sneak an extra snack. The richer, generous aunts or uncles were all easy too, never second guessing the glowing smiles asking for more toys.
No one could ask for a better friend than Tod though. El's rich cousin Tod, who never thought twice when she asked for something. She had a habit of guiding their games while letting Tod think he's in charge, and expecting him to bring snacks in exchange for her fun stories. He became her minion, all that said, she raised hell if anyone else messed with him.
First Instance of Magic: Elspeth's first magical experience happened around 7 years old, when her honeyed words and silver tongue, failed to coax what she wanted out of her family. She wasn't sent to her room, but she went, tantrum spun, stomping through the hallway, and simply put, when she slammed her door, her last ditch attempt at pulling the heartstrings of her family, all the doors in the manor slammed. She freaked out and started crying immediately, the sound far louder than she had planned, apologising profusely.
