Olivia Quinn was a Quidditch prodigy during her first 4 years at Hogwarts and she longed to get to play with her favourite team, the Tutshill Tornados, after she graduated. That was until the worst possible thing happened and an accident playing Quidditch led to her breaking her wrist in 4 places. Unfortunately, the spell cast on her wrist didn’t support the injury enough causing the bones to not set properly, leaving her hand noticeably crooked and her dreams crushed. She immediately retired from Quidditch and become reclusive in fear of rejection and bullying for her hand. Olivia’s remaining time at Hogwarts was shadowed by her previous achievements but still meant that she was able to excel at all of her exams and graduate at the tender age of 18.

Despite Hogwart’s efforts to offer Olivia the opportunity to teach flying, she repeatedly turned them down because of her insecurities and decided to work at Quality Quidditch Supplies in Diagon Alley. She was given her final offer to work at Hogwarts 5 years later and chose to take the opportunity in order to aid her elderly financially dependent parents. Currently, she has been working at Hogwarts as the Professor of Flying for 20 years and each year she gets even more impressed with the level of skill and determination shown by the students. Upon her return, the other teachers showed great respect for her bravery in coming back as it initially brought back some dark memories of her injured teenage years, but she managed to gain immense confidence meaning she could carry on.

Olivia was 5ft 5 with slim and gaunt looking features which contrasted with the warmth in her loving brown eyes. Her silver hair was always the same, slicked back in a low bun with strands of brown sticking out making her reminiscent of her youth. She usually wears turtlenecks with sleek black trousers and a robe, which she always wears with pride. Her appearance conveys how her students see her. Strict yet fair, fierce yet shy and professional yet funny.
