Physical Description: Zoey has a natural beauty that is usually hidden by her shy and quiet personality. Her skin is fair and smooth, and slightly pale from her preference to stay indoors. Thanks to her father’s European heritage, Zoey’s eyes are a striking green. Though, other than her eyes, Zoey is said to look more like her mother who moved to Scotland from Korea when she started university. Zoey wears her black hair in a pin straight style, though you might be able to see her naturally wavy hair on rare occasions. Her lips are naturally full and rose-tinted, set in a subtle pout that gives her a resting thoughtful look.
Mental Description: Zoey is quiet and shy, taking lightly longer to come out of her shell than others. She sometimes feels that she doesn’t know what to say or that she might say something dumb. Despite that shyness, once Zoey finds a friend and actually connects, all that shyness is gone. She lets that person see the true Zoey—the creative girl that loves drawing and painting, the girl that loves rainy days and the smell, and the girl that is extremely loyal and caring. Friends will finds long handwritten letters for their birthday, some sort of paper crafts for Christmas, and someone who is always there for them when they need a shoulder to lean on. Zoey might be overlooked at first for her shy and nervous demeanor, but once you open her up a little, she is a whole new person.
Biography: Zoey comes from a mixed home. Her father, Harris Campell, was born and raised in Edinburgh with his older brother and younger sister. Zoey’s mother, however, lived in Korea until she was twenty. Zoey’s mother, Nari Yoon, left Korea to study abroad in Edinburgh. What started out as a six month study abroad trip, turned into a cheesy, meeting at coffee shops, and kissing in the rain love story between Nari and Harris. Growing up, Zoey was taught both Scottish and Korean culture in her household. While not being able to speak Korean fluently yet, her mother still tries to teach her the basics. Zoey has made a couple friends at her school, but none that have reached sleepovers and Disney movie nights yet. She hopes, however, that Hogwarts will help her find those friends.
First Instance of Magic: Zoey’s first instance of magic was only a couple months after her tenth birthday. She was drawing in her princess sketchbook she got for her birthday, her pencil gripped tightly in her hands. Zoey was growing increasingly frustrated with her drawing as it wasn’t turning out how she imagined it in her head. After another aggressive erase with the end of her pencil, Zoey slammed the sketchbook down on her bed. That’s when it happened—the page caught on fire! When Zoey called her parents into her room, they didn’t believe her paper just ‘caught fire’ randomly. They told Zoey not to play with lighters even as Zoey swore the paper caught fire randomly. Her parents only realized that Zoey was telling the truth when a Hogwarts Professor came to their front door, handing her parents a letter. They were shocked to find out their little girl was a witch but ultimately accepting and proud.
