PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Even for her age, Rowan Lynch falls within the shorter range, probably looking even younger than she actually is. Her skin, pale and soft as if she was born just yesterday, is something she inherited from her father rather than her mother, whose skin tends slightly more towards olive tones. She’s the only Lynch child with gray eyes and blonde hair, which makes her stand out when the family goes somewhere together. All of her brothers are the copy-paste version of their father, with green eyes and dark hair, while she resembles much more her mother. Maybe that’s why her father is so fond of her. As of now, her hair falls straight to her shoulder, but her dream is, once she’ll grow up, to experiment a bit with hairstyles.

MENTAL DESCRIPTION

Rowan Lynch has learned, over time, how to keep herself company, and that it’s better to not seek companionship and comfort in other people. Therefore, she often resembles a ghost, who walks across aisles without being noticed and who refuses to mutter a single word unless strictly necessarily. Naturally she wouldn’t be so quiet, but she’s experienced on her own skin that not everyone is willing to accept someone like her – someone that comes from such economical poverty – in her life, and she doesn’t want to go through any more embarrassment than she already has. She might as a consequence come off even a bit cold, at times, but it’s nothing more than a façade, an act she performs so that she won’t get disappointed again. The only moments during which she’s really happy and can be seen smiling and laughing is when she’s with her family… And maybe, in the future, with some friends.

BIOGRAPHY

Rowan Lynch, the fifth and last of five siblings, was born on the night of Halloween, the 31st october 2013. Her father, Liam Lynch, was the proud owner of a food truck in Belfast, while her mother needed to take care of the small camper the family of seven managed to use as a house. It was no proper living conditions, but it worked for them. Against any expectations, the Lynch family really was a tight one, full of love and laughter. It didn’t matter that they barely had any money, nor did it matter that most of Rowan’s older brothers became drop-outs as soon as they hit their sixteenth birthday. Albeit with no kind of luxury, Rowan Lynch had a nice childhood, where the only thing she missed was friends. Seen as an outcast by the most, the little Lynch never managed to make any friends, and not necessarily because she’s shy. In fact, she’s not that much of an introverted, but growing up her loneliness has made her quite quiet and reserved, and that’s something she still carries with her to this day. Maybe, when she’ll walk for the first time into Hogwarts, things will change…

FIRST INSTANCE OF MAGIC

The first time Rowan Lynch realised she was not, in fact, like everyone else, she was eight. For most witches and wizards, that’s already quite late; for her, it wasn’t even something she was expecting. Born in a family of muggles and with four older muggle brothers, the odds of her being a witch where quite low… But even so, when she was eight, everything changed. It happened on a winter night, after three days spent with a fever she had caught playing outside, under the heavy rain. As the fever was rising and she realised how badly she needed some water for her dry throat, Rowan also realised everyone around her was sleeping. Her brothers were fast asleep, and they would’ve been far too whiny and loud if she had woken them up. Her father was dozing off on a chair, and only she knew how hard he worked every day. And her mother had finally managed to rest after three days of taking care of her. Rowan Lynch didn’t like asking for help, not even when she was eight. But Rowan Lynch also had no energy whatsoever in her body to get up and get some water. Exhausted, she closed her eyes and hopelessly wished for the cup of water that was lying on the table to be in her hand instead, and even though she stayed thirsty that night, when she opened her eyes the sink had started to drip, certainly not for any plumbing issues…
