Physical Description: Lean and muscular for his age. He makes sure not to skip leg day either.
Stormy, bright-green eyes. Messy, medium-length, fiery red hair. Fair complexion, but not pale. Usually wears tank tops and shorts. Never wears shoes.
Mental Description: Brutus is a researcher at heart, but knows what he wants. He wants to be a Quidditch star like his cousin, but not the same position.
He is known to be pretty bull-headed, but does genuinely care about those close to him. He is friendly and social.
Biography: Brutus is the son of a witch and a wizard, both of whom work at the Ministry. They are in the Muggle Studies section of the Ministry, and have a fascination (near obsession) with muggle history, the Roman Empire in particular. Hence why they named their son after the right hand of Julius Caesar.
His parents often masquerade as muggles, and even have jobs as historians as a cover, and to further their research. Their family vacations often involved going to see ancient ruins in Rome, Greece, even some others like Egypt.
Brutus likes muggle history, and is enthusiastic to learn about how they have adapted to life without magic, almost like a separate evolutionary line. But, he hasn't quite found what his research passion is.
Brutus was educated on magic, in particular the Statute of Secrecy at a very early age. Under NO circumstances was he ever to spill the secret of magic to muggles.
His cousin, Dan, and his parents often stopped by. The adults would talk about boring, grown-up things while Dan regaled him with stories about Hogwarts. Playing Quidditch, studying magic, being attacked by cursed spiders, being trapped in a fighting ring... Not all of them were fun stories.
Brutus dreamed of the day he would get to go. He knew immediately what he wanted to do, since he was 7 years old. As such, he also works out regularly. He never misses a workout, though is aware he will have to modify his schedule for Hogwarts.
First Instance of Magic: Brutus' first instance of magic occurred when he was 6. The family was in Dublin, at Merrion Square, to be precise. Brutus was taking in all the... well everything. He became enraptured by the statue of Oscar Wilde. When he walked over to it and touched it, the statue moved. It looked down at him, gave him a smirk, and a wink.
Brutus panicked. Not because a statue was moving; he'd seen plenty of those in his lifetime, but because he thought he broke the Statute of Secrecy by accidentally bringing a statue to life.
His fears were unfounded though, as only his parents and two staff members saw the statue move. A pair of quick memory charms later, and everything was taken care of. When they told Brutus that this meant he can go to Hogwarts, he was delighted, and they went to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour to celebrate.
