She is interested in experiencing new things, and tends to try out whatever seems interesting at the time. Emotionally reserved around most people, she can come off as detached or self centred. Craves validation, be it through good academic performance or winning competitions.
Was raised by both her parents, Preston and Lyla Nightshade in Mayfair, London. Of her parents Preston is a first generation wizard, while Lyla comes from a long line of wizards. Both work in the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes at the Ministry of Magic.
Her childhood was connected to both the wizarding world and the no-maj one. She went to a private elementary school, and often visited her parents (wizarding) friends and families. Her friends are mostly the people from clubs and sports teams at school, and she isn't particularly close to most of them. The only exception os Hannah, a childhood friend who is unaware of magic, and whose seperation due to Hogwarts has been weighing on Zoe's mind lately.
Hee first incident of magic was when she was 7 and tripped while going down the stairs at school. Instead of falling, she floated midair and had to be pulled down by the teachers (who were later obliviated).
