Maisie likes peace and quiet, yet she has a wild chaotic side. She doesn't think through most of her plans, which leads them to be risky. She is loyal to her friends and family, and a proud little Hufflepuff.

A Timeline of Maisie's School Years
first year: makes friends; sister dies, leaving her anguished; meets muggleborns/half-bloods and finds them hardly different from purebloods.
second year: death of sister still saddens her; now youngest sister arrives at Hogwarts and sorts into Hufflepuff and her cousin in Ravenclaw, spends time with them and her brothers. their bond grows stronger; vows to get perfect grades, and have deeper connections with her friends, practices her flute.
third year: begins to question the pureblood ideology; misunderstanding and argument with her now 7th year brother but makes amends before he graduates, gets interested in herbology and healing.
fourth year: gets ready for o.w.l.s, spends more time studying. has a liking on someone; spends more time with her now 7th year brother before he leaves.
fifth year: (if nothing goes wrong) becomes a (second string) quidditch player; spends all her time studying and preparing for her o.w.l.s.
sixth year: prepares for n.e.w.t.s and gets good marks; starts thinking about her future career and life; helps now 5th year sister prepare for o.w.l.s, but they fall out. near death experience towards end of term makes her realize how close she is to losing another sister. all the stress from her family to make her cut ties with people that aren't purebloods, and carry on the family name by becoming a musician, which they'd vowed she needn't be, not allowing her to become a healer like she wanted.
seventh year: realizes her eldest brother is getting married and she is unwilling to see him go. spends her time trying to perfect her n.e.w.t.s score in a maniac-like state due to family pressure and a need to be the best. corresponds with youngest brother, now 20, through owls, and forming a very deep bond with him. he gives her advice and support. secretly supports her with her aspirations. family comes around before she takes her n.e.w.t.s, and encourages her to chase her own dreams. graduates with flying colours.
