Mental Description:
Vaughan is a shy, quiet kid which is often riddled with anxiety at meeting both new problems and peers. However, he most often means well, and despite his perceived introvertedness, he will sometimes (albeit rarely) go out of his way to reach new people, driven by fierce curiosity.

Biography:
Dorian's father was a muggle, while his mother was a witch. Tragedy struck at age two, when his mother left following the birth of his twin sisters. Ever since then, he, his father and two sisters would live peacefully within their quiet home in the bustling city.

His life would by most people be described as sheltered. He'd spend most of his time inside, preferring the tales written down in old books from his father's library to the experiences outside. He had few friends outside of home, and would spend weekends watching old movies with his father rather than outside with kids his age. It was simply what he enjoyed, whilst his father would rather he got some real friends outside.

His house was neat and quiet. It was always like that, ever since the disappearance of his mother. Usually it would be broken by the floorboards creaking, or the occasional quarrel from his sisters. Even then, his father would still be quiet.

The few times he'd leave his house would be for school, the dentist, or other familial obligations or arrangements. Dorian did not like school. Public school was filled with kids who misunderstood him, called him names and picked on him. They called him a wimp, said that he'd always be a loser, that he'd never be anything special. Then, it happened.

First Instance of Magic:
On a particularly bad day, Dorian was surrounded at his desk by his tormentors during their teacher's absence. The frustration, the hurt, the pain and the sadness all took hold, and in a fit of anger, he raised his voice.

Dorian was not the kind to raise his voice. He would rather turn the other cheek. That's what his father told him to do. And maybe he should have listened. His voice boomed through the crowded classroom, books and pencils carried off and out the window, which now had been slammed open.

Later that day, Dorian was suspended, and his father told him the truth of his ancestry. Or rather what little his father knew.
