Valentin Azat Schnell, dubbed champion for Durmstrang following the retirement of Yefim Rumyantsev during the Hexiwizard Tournament, is passionate about leadership for his community. It may come as little surprise that Valentin is a budding legilimens, as his compassion for and understanding of other people have been enduring traits. He lives for his people and toils for the greater good of Durmstrang. In his younger days, the "White Niffler" was known for his lighthearted nature, his albino physical characteristics, and his dedication to Durmstrang's quidditch team. While all of these traits are still true, he has matured and now means to leave a legacy greater than making people smile and contributing to the victories of his sports team. Rather, Valentin continues to be a beacon both in the good times and when circumstances are at their darkest.
Valentin, or Valya, or Val, is a collector of "niffnames," but it is not because of some self obsession. Rather, the Niffler collects sentimental reminders of those he loves. Each name he receives reminds him of dear ones, and each item he gathers serves as a memory of important times spent together. While in his childhood Valentin used to (temporarily) steal items in order to get attention and play with people, not unlike his nabbing of the golden snitch, he now focuses primarily on giving. Even if Valentin occasionally steals hearts, it is said that the White Niffler always gives back at least as much as he borrows.

Valya's hair is snow white, and his eyes are light violet. He is very thin and now stands at about 6'1" tall.
